You might have confused "day" and "clay" or "word" and "world" or something like that.

Re: Who cares if Bitcoin goes mainstream?
by

It's irrational not to care if Bitcoin goes mainstream. Bitcoin is either better or worse than fiat. If it's worse, it's irrational to want it to go mainstream. On the other hand, if it's better, it's irrational not to want it to go mainstream.

Maybe it's a joke?

Re: HOW are bitcoins stored?
by

I use electrum (electrum.org). My private keys are derivable from 12 words. If you can safely store 12 words--which means not only not losing them, but also keep them from prying eyes--you can store BTC. Electrum can turn the 12 words into your wallet file, which contains many addresses, and allow spending from them.

You can copy wallet files endlessly, but you can only spend a satoshi (one hundred millionth of a BTC) once.

Re: bitcoin or bitcoins ?

You have 2 BTC.

If I remember correctly, "Bitcoin" was supposed to be the name of the network/project/app and "BTC" the name of the currency unit.

"no one in the bitcoin community can adequate explain the price action"

Learning grammar from bitcointalk.org, I see.  Cheesy

Also, I think it would be funny to compare this article with their previous Bitcoin article, you know, when they said it was about to collapse completely and talked about it in the past tense.

It's a currency insofar as it's usable as a currency. In all other cases, it's a precurrency.

Bookmarked! Congratulations and good luck with it!

I didn't read your entire site, but I did notice a spelling error: 'referral' is spelled 'referal' on your home page.

The whole world is run by Machiavellians, and the vast majority of the world population is simply cognitively dissonant.

For example, if I told a bunch of American teenagers that the US government is responsible for the biggest mass murder in history, I wonder how many would even know what I'm talking about.

Curiously, the timing of my decisions has always been based on my personal circumstances, and never the latest news. Cheesy

And now he jumps on to the Crypto bandwagon
Probably a good sign and further validation if any was needed that there is big money to be made with alts

In the interest of nipping confusion in the bud, it should be pointed out that Bitcoin is not an 'alt(coin).' Altcoins are Bitcoin-like cryptocurrencies other than Bitcoin.

Re: What is wrong with bitcoin and why it may never reach widespread adoption.

While I can buy one today for $600 lets suppose that in 5 years the price is $10 000.  How difficult will it be for the citizen of a third world country to purchase a coin in order to "opt into" the system?

The smallest unit of BTC is 0.00000001. At this writing, one dollar on the exchanges is selling for about 0.00171 BTC.

If you're suggesting that BTC isn't divisible, I don't believe you're qualified to tell us "what is wrong with Bitcoin."

I intend to do what comes naturally, which is to use both 'BTC' and 'satoshis.' When I want to convey the idea of 0.3 BTC, I say 0.3 BTC. Someday, I'll want to convey the idea of 0.00000300 BTC, and I'll say 300 satoshis.
