In my opinion it is BTC vs ETH, not LTC vs ETH. I believe neither belongs in the future of blockchain. Look at gen 3 coins like Cardano, ADA or IOTA.

Honestly unless you feel confident investing in altcoins and researching the market, I'd recommend sticking to this advise and investing only in BTC. You can't go wrong with it, and it's a solid long term hold.

Looking into the past, every previous crash has recovered with a new ATH. The advice to HODL is just based on history. If you believe crypto is here to stay, then eventually previous ATHs should be breached.

Bitcoin. Every other fancy pants tech will be superseded one day. Yes there is no doubt that Bitcoin is the shittiest crypto of them all, but it has a brand name attached to it. Just like gold is the shittiest means of value transfer, it has that lustre and history to it.

Even a million years from now when people are transferring coins via interdimensional quantum entanglement across galaxies, Bitcoin will still hold value because it will be in all the history books. ETH, Ripple, IOTA, et al. will not be in the history books.

They have no care in the world for the actual roadmap of the project, only in their fancy Internet tokens going up in value.

These are solid picks. As other investors have stated there's too many thousands of alt coins now for them all to go up in value together. You're much better investing in the top coins for now.

Well you have to look at other investors actions to answer that question. I mean, Bitcoin cash changed 1 line of code and got a 20 billion+ market cap for that effort. Bitcoin diamond was an outright scam and yet was valued at $300 each. Who knows what the irrational investor will do? Like a wild animal, you must study the irrational investor and learn from their actions. Then you will be able to anticipate their move correctly with what they'll do when it comes to investing in a new coin with the name "bitcoin" in it.
