Alright I have a dumb question. I used to mine years ago but sold all my equipment. I actually didn't know people were still mining, and it's even profitable?  I want to get back in the game but I'm not sure how to purchase a miner.  Like I went on Bitmain's site and they have nothing for sale? What can I get right now?

I am mining sha-256 and it seems like it will mine any currency but BTC.  When it switches to BTC, it will stop mining.  Does anyone know why this is happening?

Why is my worker uptime only like 30%?  I have a single ASICMINER usb block erupter and have the difficulty set as 1.  Is there anything I can do to have a better uptime?

Can someone help me select parts to build a budget rig?  I've never built a computer before but I want to try.  I found this tutorial but I don't know when it was written and how out-dated it is.  Aside from the GPU, are those good parts?
