My friend didn't mentioned about how much you can get in airdrops but he said to participate in airdrop has low chance to make profit because it has only a low offer and at the same time most of them do not pay or the coins turn into shitcoin.

For all the altcoins that you had mentioned only ethereum and ripple I trust because we still don't have assurance how the other altcoins can survive in the big dip  atleast ethereum and ripple already established their popularity.

In most cases yes! Government still hold back to give their support in cryptocurrencies vomit the as the time goes by there is change happening. So not a surprise that someday government will give their full support for something that they were rejecting before.
