Is there any truth in the rumour that Beetlecoin devs are the same devs as for some other MN coins?

I heard someone say that mouse, cheese, harvest and beet are all the same dev.

Why would they make so many different coins?

I'm trying to mine vcash using an Icarus board. The board mines blakecoin reliably but on the vcash pool all shares are rejected. Do I need to change something to mine vcash?
