Re: The rise and fall of stablecoins

Traders panic and make rash decisions
But this usually does not end there. I suppose when the rate drops to the right price, the manipulators buy large amounts of crypt and push it up again. Inexperienced emotion traders try to regain initial losses in the second wave of growth, and eventually lose even more. The second wave in its dynamics is usually even more active and durable than the first. Using panic in the market, pampers force hamsters to buy a crypt at the peak of its value, and then sell at a low price when they fear even greater drawdown of the course. This is an interesting operation conducted by traders.

And that's exactly what's going but one thing traders forget is that stablecoins can be great for them (especially ampleforth in this case)

Re: Top 100 coin BUT only on TWO exchanges?!

Maybe it's because the exchange listing fees are very expensive or because they want to focus first on developing the platform. Even though they have been listed on many exchanges but there is no guarantee Moac price will grow fast, so in my opinion this is the right decision.

Yea getting listed on an exchange is tricky and expensive. Looks like MOAC is working on case studies. They recently launched their first app Moodata. They even had a webinar showing people how easy it is to launch a dapp: https://www.moac.io/newmoodada.html

Pretty big news: MOAC partners with securities platform. https://www.strictlycrypto.com/rac-announces-collaboration-and-investment-from-moac-foundation/

if we only see images, maybe the MOAC project is good. but the reality is not that easy. ethereum is still the best platform at the moment.

They announced something pretty big today....they partnered with a securities platform. Looks like the future is in securities. IMO this is a huge deal for MOAC and crypto in general. https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20181214005053/en/RAC-Announces-Collaboration-Investment-MOAC-Foundation

This is all inflation, even giving attention to it is a form of inflation. We all need to just accept that Bitcoin is the better form of money. Sure, there is variance, but don't play the game if you can't handle the swings.

If you need a stablecoin to keep your money in on an exchange, that means you have too much money on the exchange, you're gambling too high. This always ends poorly.

Bitcoin is great in its own right, but in terms of mass adoption and how slow it is, it's simply not sustainable. I think stablecoins are the solution the world has been looking for. It's just a matter of who is going to become THE stablecoin. Ampleforth provides a great solution IMO. I would read their whitepaper because they do address the bitcoin dilemma: https://drive.google.com/a/multiplied.io/file/d/1I-NmSnQ6E7wY1nyouuf-GuDdJWNCnJWl/view

I agree. Bitcoin all the way but we gotta get mass adoption somehow. That's why we need stablecoins. I see lots of potential in Ampleforth, especially with the team and backing that they have

I am interested in the speed of transactions, if it can be faster and more effective than Etherum, I think they will no longer be a meta.

they've already proved 5000 TPS and say they can scale to 100,000 TPS. Lots of potential. This is what they recently posted: https://medium.com/moac/explaining-moacs-ground-breaking-technology-95362b8aa99a

yup. I remember when they had their ICO. They also just announced a partnership with RAC (securities platform). https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20181214005053/en/RAC-Announces-Collaboration-Investment-MOAC-Foundation

You mentioned MOAC and securities and they just announced that RAC, a securities platform, is partnering with MOAC, the commercial dapp platform. Securities and MOAC are both going to be big in the future imo.

Yea I think ampleforth is the only algorithmic stablecoin standing. Great project that won't be facing the same issues that basis got shut down for.

Top 100 crypto (MOAC) partners with securities platform
by

on 14/12/2018, 21:39:58 UTC
So it looks like public blockchain for p2p commercial dapps MOAC just announced their partnership with RAC, a securities platform for real estate, investments, and private debt.

I never expected something like this, but if MOAC has the infrastructure to execute, this is a huge stride forward for both dapps and securities.

We think they're pretty cool 😎

Yup pretty cool. Any thoughts on Oath though??

hey guys can you elaborate the extent of your guys' role in the partnership?

Hey, sure:

- We will deploy Oath Protocol (through smart contracts) on MOAC as the default arbitration system, managed by the community (jurors) who act as decision makers and resolve disputes that arise.
- In our Public Beta on MOAC in Q1 19' we will not only deliver the MVP, but also explore further opportunities that MOAC provides through the sharding technology, in regards of scalability
- We both have offices in Shanghai, so we frequently sit together and discuss more options. For example, we started an Initiative called BlockchainGo, which is a general workshop series for university students only and invite our partners & friends to co host the workshops with us

Besides that, being Partners, we support mutually wherever we can Smiley

Very cool stuff guys. Did anyone see that they announced another partnership with RAC? Looks like MOAC is getting into securities. https://apnews.com/9bda4b960d4f427f8921116cc9567986

In this bear market, stablecoins have been on fire. With the recent news of basis going down, what does everyone think of stablecoins? Curious as to what you guys think about Ampleforth (aka Fragments aka Basis's competitor) and their model too.

I'm pretty bullish on stablecoins in general  Cheesy

I have seen many good looking graphs that compare which cryptocurrency is the best. And investing into some coin which is not in top 100 only because they say that they are better than others...
Ethereum has more developers, more funds, do you think that they are not smart enough?

But  ethereum is better than anothers altcoins my friend,, even this is the best altcoins for now
Ethereum has strong community,, and remember community is very important  things on any project of cryptocurrencies..
Regards

This is true and I do stand behind ethereum. However how they address and solve scalability is a big "if" for me. I think we should open the conversation to other alternatives that can scale a lot better than ethereum. The future will be many public blockchains interacting with another IMO. Great to tune into MOAC's webinar tomorrow to see what the CEO thinks about that.

next trend in blockchain/crypto??
by

What do you guys think will be the next big thing in crypto? IMO it's going to be security tokens, microchains/sidechains (like MOAC), cross-chain compatibilities of public blockchains, and gaming/collectibles (like Gods Unchained)

What about you guys?

MOAC is a solid project IMO. Saw their webinar and was pretty impressed with how easy it was to launch a dapp

The team have to hire a dedicated community manager and launch a marketing campaign to build a strong community. This coin is moving forward under the radar even they are busy to develop interesting features for this platform. Exchange support is not impressive and current volume is also very low as well.
it looks like they are kickstarting some marketing with their webinar coming up this sunday: https://medium.com/@moac_io/free-moac-webinar-scheduled-for-sunday-december-2nd-ecdb98ac8593

Re: Why do you think the market is down right now?
by

A lot of factors ae contributing to this. For instance, increasing number of coins is also a problem as it takes share of good coins.
