Re: Do you panic?
by

on 04/07/2018, 01:25:09 UTC
I'm not gonna lie at first I did panic. Imagine looking at your coins price value dropping everyday it's just to painful to watch. I did also panic sell before just to cut my loss but I realize that was not the right move at all. With days past I learned different tactics and become more experienced. Now I just hold my coins and wait for the desired profit before selling.

Re: Ethereum: Good alt or stay away?
by

on 03/07/2018, 05:05:55 UTC
With the global market cap reaching $4.2 bln, it would not be incorrect to say that Ethereum is starting to be widely accepted by the public. Also, as compared to Bitcoin, Ethereum does not charge significant transfer fees and provides no inconvenience because of transaction delays. Ethereum looks strong and is seeing an increase in the daily trade volume. Ethereum has smashed all expectations and with its price reaching $60, it continues to do so. Ethereum price is currently trading at the peak of its uptrend.

IT IS GOOD TO BE AROUND ETHEREUM THESE DAYS...

Cryptocurrencies are volatile. The value may go down today but tomorrow it may rise up higher than before. History shows that the percentage that the price goes up is much higher than when the price is going down. So the chances to succeed is still much higher. I will not be afraid to invest in crypto today.

Just take this as a learning experience. You should always bear in your mind that most probably 90 percent of ICOs will fail. If you are to invest in an ICO have some thorough research first. When I participate in a bounty campaign, I'll make sure to check first the developing team behind the project and how much funding they have already received and of course, ratings on ICO websites somehow matter. We are definitely well past the point of gaining through randomly throwing our money from the bag for these crowdsales.

The current position of ETH is very supportive to maximize profits. The right decision to buy ETH now. Now the market is down, so you can get it cheap. In the near future, ETH will get the lighting to be able to increase again.

Re: Rules how to give merits?
by
loengrinm

⭐ Merited by solovev (1)
The rule I know with regards to awarding merits is that you have to give it to a constructive post. Constructive in my opinion varies from person to person as we all have our opinions towards what constructive is. What is constructive for me may not be constructive for others because they have different standards. So I guess, the responsibility and the call of judgement would be on the ones awarding the merit. I don't think mods would question your judgement, they are concerned however with exchanging of merits or merit farming for the sake of ranking up or getting bonuses from campaigns; but if proven that you are not guilty of such act, then you have nothing to worry about. Just make sure that the merit would be justified accordingly with regards tp the post.

That is the beauty of the system in my opinion. Members are saying that it is hard to find others thinking on the same lines or agreeing to the post made. But since merit is not accumulated in hands of single person, everyone has fair chance with the system.  And if you are not able to impress anyone with your posts, you need to work on your posts. Sometimes it juts might be the writing skills. I have seen some members making really good posts but they do not format it well.

Re: Merits ! Can I beg to give me merits other participants? Ban or not?
by

on 06/03/2018, 17:58:09 UTC
bro, when you raised your level on the forum, you did not care about such things as merits because they did not exist! Now, it's a beginner same as me ask for help to better understand how it all works!
because in my opinion all should have equal conditions for getting a higher rank! now it's not, it's  hard to work and write good posts! Not even all the legends even write good post now! it's not fair ! Sad

Wrong, if you check the current signature campaigns, they have some merit requirements ( earned merits and not the default merits) even for the senior members. I think with time we will see all this getting strictly implemented in various other sections as well. So merit matters for everyone.

Regarding the system being fair, the rules are same for all members. Like all the new members have to get the same number of merits (10) to reach to next rank (member). We have to follow the rules being a  member here. One more thing, I checked your posts after you made this thread and you are doing good now. Smiley

Re: Is merit system can be manipulated?
by
loengrinm
on 06/03/2018, 17:53:30 UTC
Absolutely not, and the word " manipulated " cannot be true in the field of the merit system, but there are few traders of merit points (especially, some users who have an alternative account) who have been punished (through negative trust).
In addition to that, thanks to merit system, It has become easier to overthrow the scammers and to report them.

To cause considerable manipulation of merit system, a merit source needs to be involved in this. Since the admin is picking these merit sources, I am sure he is doing all the research about the chosen member. The post of merit source comes with  a lot of responsibility. Also, I think that manipulation on large scale (awarding merit points in bulk) is very easy to notice. Since only established members are being chosen as merit sources, I do not think they will risk their account by getting into merit abuse (buying and selling of merit points) .

Re: Lets Make a new board/section for "Merit Discussion"
by
loengrinm
on 06/03/2018, 17:46:10 UTC
I do not agree to this suggestion because:

1) This is just a change to forum rules and thus there is no need to create  a separate section for it. We may see further changes if the merit system fails to combat the spam completely. Should we create a separate section for all those changes in future ?

2) With time members will get used to the merit system and thus these posts and threads will disappear. Then that section will become useless or look weird without any activity.

But one suggestion that you gave regarding pinning the official thread is correct. It can however be done here itself.

Well I heard that he has himself invested in cryotocurrency

That is wrong information. He cannot invest in crypto now as it will affect his credibility. I mean he will not accept this thing publicly even if he invested.

What is your  opinion as per  Warren buffet statement, he is a wealthy giant globally he told CNBC on Wednesday the recent craze over bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies won't end well. "In terms of cryptocurrencies, generally, I can say with almost certainty that they will come to a bad ending,"
Am really scared hope the end is not near. I want to hear from knowledgeable individual what the future holds.

He is right about this aspect. Just think of the people holding the bitcoins when it collapses. I just hope that this situation never happens and developers keep making improvements for further growth.

Bitcoin is a very popular crypto coin today, we know that Bitcoin will be very expensive in the future but I imagine if Bitcoin die, whether there will be hope for the future of altcoin? because most altcoin exchanges are to bitcoins
your opinion is highly appreciated. Smiley

Only those alt coins will survive will have some unique features or benefits over bitcoins. However, in terms of price they will suffer as well. I do not excpet in anything except bitcoins currently.

Re: If bitcoin goes to zero
by

The price is based on human belief and there is no authority backing it up. So it can be zero one day. Regarding what will happen to alt coins, I think 905 will disappear if this happens. Only those will survive which have some real life applications.

today, bitcoin is not like 2017, what's your stare with this news ,,, maybe in the middle tau 20018, going up again ,,,,,, i am confused with this btc, is there with btc today, trunya very bad ,,,, or dropped irregularly

It is good for those who are thinking to invest. You can enter at low prices and make good profits. But, just think of people who invested at the levels of $17000-$18000, it will take them 3-4 months more to even reach that level.

Re: Flawed Merit System
by
loengrinm
on 05/02/2018, 08:05:59 UTC
In my opinion merit system is a great idea and a non-regulatory way to  control the members from posting spam in this form.

But what about members who hoard merits and just post garbage just for signature bounty.

This is unfair to newbies who are posting quality posts but never get merits due these selfish senior members?

If there is rule for newbies to survive in this form why there is no rule for these senior members?

If this flaw is fixed then i think merit system the best.

No system is perfect actually. Regarding the suggestion you gave, I think we can see it implemented soon.

This merit system has made the spam posting worse in some ways.  People are copy pasting long responses, and then making rambling posts saying the same thing over and over in hopes to get more merit.

Just report those posts. Copying posts is strictly dealt by banning those accounts.
