Re: It's time to sell
by
lorapalmer

I'm not spreading FUD and everyone is free to do whatever he wants. After all, it's your money.

What I'm suggesting here is to take all the tokens and coins you're holding and start reading the whitepaper, check the roadmap, see the team behind that project and how active the developers are is by looking at the GitHub repository. If it's not looking that good, don't think twice, just go and sell regardless of initial buy price because you'll be cutting your losses this way.

I understand that saying "hodl" is nice etc but you should use your brain and don't be blinded by the idea that every useless out there will go to the moon. Only a few are worth investing in so instead of holding random coins, you may want to target something that has been here for a long time and still doing well such as ETH, BTC.

I think it is better to read a white paper before you buy any coins, not now. Now it is a bit late if you bought it already. But it is a good strategy to filter less successful coins if you need to choose what to sell. After some period basically you can see the tendencies of different coins and how they behave.

Re: Is this the time for a comeback for crypto?
by

on 29/11/2018, 23:29:45 UTC
We've seen coins goes down, and up in the market,
but since the last two days crypto stabilized,
are we going to see the coins upward or this is just a big trap for us
while rich names gathers all the good coins and left us with shitcoins in the market
what are your calls for this one i hope we share knowledges for everyone

Look like crypto market started to recovery very gradually. For sure it will be long and time consuming process that will not happen overnight. I would come back now to crypto to do some investments while price is still affordable. Later it will be again too much finance consuming to buy any digital coins.

Re: What should I go for?

I want to invest  $500 in crypto market. I have studied a little bit about the market. As I am not experienced in this sector, I am a little bit confused where should I invest?
I know my capital is too little.
Would it be wise to invest in Alt coins?
Or should I go for the ICOs?

If I were you I would just make a deep research about the digital coins and market before investing. I would also take into consideration the chart of the top coins at the coinmarketcap.com  It was a useful tool for me when I was a newbie. I usually invested in altcoins that were in the top 10 list.

Re: Do you regret getting involved in crypto?
by

on 29/11/2018, 23:19:37 UTC
Cryptocurrencies have been around for a while now.we've the early adopters and late adopters.  Heard a lot of postive and also no to forget negative experience from people. Take a flash back to when you decided to get involved in the crypto world and judging by what you have achieved at this point in time.

Do you regret your decision to get involved in the crypto world or you wished you had joined earlier?

No regrets. I made quite good profit out of it and it helped me to reduce my mortgage debt faster. I would never be able to do it just working on a full-time job. It is a great opportunity to get rid of your debts faster.

Re: ETH or EOS?
by
lorapalmer
on 29/11/2018, 23:16:49 UTC
More and more blockchain games choose EOS instead of ETH (and I believe it's the same with ICOs)

Hey crypto gamers! What do you prefer more?

example:
https://gameunculus.io/blog/94

I still prefer ETH over EOS as it is stronger and more reliable. That several years history at the crypto market shows ethereum from a good side. I believe that it has future inspiring prospects. Though EOS is number 6 at the moment on a market cap, ethereum is still ahead on third position that proves me a lot.

Re: Will Monero become next BTC?
by
lorapalmer
on 29/11/2018, 23:07:29 UTC
Currently, Monero is the 10th largest coin by market capitalization. Crypto miners are attracted to Monero because it has emerged as the most profitable altcoin in the past few months.

A research firm Satis Group, which forecasts the cryptocurrency market and the fate of individual cryptocurrencies, published a reporting stating that Monero could be worth $18,000 within the next five years. That represents a more than an 18,000% increase from its present value, which stands at just over $106.

From"Monero's price: all you need to know"

How do you think about XMP? Another BTC?

Monero is a good strong coin but way weaker than a bitcoin.  I don't think that Monero will ever overcome a bitcoin. I personally bought some monero coins as I like how it is developing during all this period though there are many things that need to be improved too.

Re: How to trade during red market?
by
lorapalmer
on 29/11/2018, 22:52:42 UTC
There are suggestions to trade if looking for profits during this period. How and what to do to ensure maximum profits?
Or is it better to invest in top coins and play safe?

P.S.: Though honestly, I don't think anything is safe anyways.

The nature of the trading and investment is risky by itself but the reward can be extremely high too. I will just be patient and meanwhile buying some cheap coins as in the future they can make a huge profit. When market is red you can buy good quality coins at the best price so grab it fast and wait.

Re: Hacked by a poor hacker
by

on 29/11/2018, 22:44:43 UTC
Just want to share my experience for a week ago.my wallet was hacked  by a poor hacker  in my opinion because in my wallet not more than $200 and the hacker was hacked only $80 when eth for the gas  transaction was run out.very so sad when we waiting for the best price and i will sell it but it was hacked

This is unusual that hacker did'nt take all the coins from the wallet. Better take some precautions as he might be back later to take the rest from your wallet. It might be some kind of his strategy. Use hardware wallet only for your digital coins to keep them safe.

Re: Don't quit investing

The sowing season may not be a friendly and palatable season but every wise farmer knows it is the best season of opportunity to get prepared for the looming harvest. The present dip in crypto market is a fertile ground of opportunity for investors to lay hold on as many coins as possible at cheaper prices to store up for the bumper harvest that is imminent in the crypto market. This market dip is a blessing in disguise for me because it affords me the opportunity to buy coins which were before beyond my financial capacity. We must be determined not be distracted by the shout in the crypto market as regards the dip but rather focus on the great profit  we will get from the market .I will not quit investing because I don't want to stop harvesting. If we focus on the shout of the dip in market, we won't want to invest but if our focus is on the profit output from the market, then we will keep investing.

I also try to find the positive sides of a down market as I will have an opportunity to buy strong promising coins cheaper. Now it is a chance to make good investment at the lowest possible price. We just need to make the best out of the present situation at the market.

Re: Is it bad for altcoin that BTC is dropping
by
lorapalmer
on 29/11/2018, 22:01:15 UTC
Bitcoin price is constantly dropping for the last several days. What effects are putting it on Altcoins ? Is it bad or good ?

With a present situation at the crypto market a bitcoin rate influences negatively on altcoins as they are interconnected. Bitcoin influences the overall tendency at the crypto market. If trust reduced to bitcoin - the altcoins will not be in a favor too and their popularity will drop consequently as well.

Re: Does technical analysis work with crypto?
by
lorapalmer
on 29/11/2018, 21:54:10 UTC
I've been thinking about starting to learn how to read charts and do some technical analysis for myself. The problem is I see it ridiculed on pretty much every forum and people saying it's useless for crypto.

What are your thoughts? Worthwhile?

You need to get more experience first and learn how crypto works in order to read charts and do some technical analysis. Anyways, I think that analysis will not guarantee you 100% success in investment as many factors influence market nowadays. It is very hard to predict.

Re: Do you buy new coins?
by
lorapalmer
on 29/11/2018, 21:35:48 UTC
Pardon me, I'm just a newbie when it comes to all this trading stuff. I just got curious on the field of trading and have checked out in CMC recently launched coins, top gainers and losers. My question is, do you usually buy new coins then set your target sell? Or do you just buy from top losers then keep an eye on it?
Thanks for all the responses...

I also think that buying new coins has more benefits as you can buy them very cheap and they can grow with time very lucratively. It is very important to do your deep research about that new coin that you want to invest in to make sure that it is safe and you are doing the right thing.

Re: How helpful Bitcoin in future?
by

on 27/11/2018, 17:22:54 UTC
Hey everyone i want to know about how helpful bitcoin in future? Give the real life example! As you know in many country bitcoin is not legal,so behalf of that give your opinions?

When bitcoin will be accepted all around the world, it will become very easy to do payments and transfers. And I think bitcoin is safer than any other payment services as it is private. Privacy and safety of finances are the most important nowadays with plenty of hackers and cyber security issues around.

Re: Cardano will replace ETH!
by

on 22/11/2018, 20:53:19 UTC
The CEO of Cardano has an obsession to put ETH into the gutter!

https://ambcrypto.com/cardano-ada-is-planning-to-replace-ethereum-eth-marlowe-to-take-over/

Cardano has the technology and capabilities to destroy ETH and some other coins in the top 20: Make no mistake Cardano is a giant slayer!

Looks like the Cardano CEO has very high ambitions that are not supported with basis and tools to bring it into reality. Cardano has quite good potential but I don't think it will ever replace ethereum. Ethereum is way stronger and stable at the crypto market.

Re: Warnings for token hodlers

We are in the final quarter of the year
Everyone should be at alert now, lots of projects will suddenly collapse, pump and dump, with plans to collect people's btc and ethereum and cash out money for the end of the year
Then they will run away and get away with funds.....

A word is enough for the wise

I think this market collapse is made artificially by some people. I would just wait for a while until the market will stabilize. I don't want to lose money cause of panicking. I put too many efforts, time, and money into my investment and will hold my coins for the better days and rates.

Re: I lost when the coin price dropped

when all the coins go down, I lose a lot because I bought a lot of coins, what should I do so that I don't lose a lot, please give your input, friend?

There is no "vaccine" that can protect you from the losses while doing the investments. This is the nature of this business, it contains risk, but also high chance of luck too. The most important tactic is to hold the coins and don't sell them in panic.

Re: Do we Need Altcoin?
by
lorapalmer
on 22/11/2018, 19:58:56 UTC
There are Bitcoin, and also there are Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Gold and B2X that we use it as an altcoin, but do we still need other altcoins? as i knew in the forum on the altcoin section there are much announcement about new altcoins almost everyday. do we still need that altcoins?

We need other altcoins to increase the assortment for investors. People can find the right fit for their wallets, terms, and goals. If person want to invest just 10$ they need to have an option. Some altcoins are very pricey or unsuitable for the long-term investments.

Re: Crypto market in depression

The crypto market is on a rapid downward spiral and almost all coins including so called good coins are down in prices. Is there any chances the market will recover? In my opinion, it takes the end of the year 2018 to recover the market. What are your views?

The current situation at the market is not inspiring. Hope it is just because people are busy getting ready for Christmas instead of trading and making investment at the crypto market. Let's see how will be the market tendency after New Year.

Re: Do you think Altcoins will be a big competitor to Bitcoin?
by
lorapalmer
on 22/11/2018, 19:42:02 UTC
Bitcoin dominance in the crypto market almost 51% right now. If bitcoin price will go to the moon again then this dominance percentage may increase! But we have many options in altcoins, and many altcoins are better than bitcoin in several ways! Do you think, in future, Altcoins will dominate the crypto market? Or will it be a strong competitor to bitcoin?

I don't think altcoins will dominate in the future and grab the leading positions unless bitcoin will get out of the market. Bitcoin is like a father of the crypto and will always be the strongest one. At the moment I don't see at the crypto market a strong competitor to bitcoin. Maybe in the future some day.

Re: Will Bitcoin Gold have a future?
by
lorapalmer
on 22/11/2018, 19:37:08 UTC
Bitcoin Gold seems to have a solid development team, as it has managed to quickly implement an ASIC-resistant algorithm after the release of Bitmain's miners for Equihash. If it remains a GPU-only mineable coin, then it would be much more decentralized in the mining process than both Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash. However, its success will only depend on the level of adoption it would experience in the mainstream world.

Considering that it has all the same features as Bitcoin, with the differences being an ASIC-resistant algorithm and better privacy, it could be well worth the investment after all.

Nonetheless, do you think Bitcoin Gold (BTG) will have a future or not? Smiley

Bitcoin Gold definitely has a future. It has respected team behind it that makes me believe in it. Its success is also quite dependent on the rate of bitcoin. They are interconnected I would say. One coin is influencing another one.
