I mean fucking honestly USPS... I could have gotten on a bike and took a small vacation and received my miners faster...

How is it possible to take this long to deliver something?!!!?!  Oh and the "tracking info" makes it seem that the package has not even been received by USPS yet... it just says "electronic shipping info received" like it was entered into a system... and just is sitting on some shelf somewhere now... that cant be the case... right?

USPS does suck unfortunately unless you pay for every bell and whistle. Delivery confirmation is not even technically proof of delivery, they call that "signature confirmation." USPS routinely scans the packages at the office as "delivered" and then loads them on the truck for delivery. This means you can have a package marked as delivered but not actually show up until the next day.

So... my USB's were sent "First-Class Package Service" for several days when I entered my tracking number... nothing showed up... Now under status I see "Electronic Shipping info Received" with a date of May 31, 2013.  ...what does this mean?  Does this mean they JUST started to send it on my way?  I assumed at first this posting method just did not have tracking.

(glances over at his lonely Raspberry Pi)

Yes, you will probably see them Tuesday or Wednesday. Once they are accepted and processed the actual expected delivery will show up.

I could get behind some kind of "perk" for participating in the group buy like this.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=195004.0

After shipping we do not refund, but still guarantee a six-month warranty of free replacement like our blades. However the replacement should also come in batch (10 at one time).

The extra 19 aren't perk units, the retail 1.99 BTC price includes a 6 month warranty as per above. I wouldn't expect to get back used equipment after exercising a warranty return. If he is going to mine with the groups warranty units and keep the profits in addition to his original payment great, but it would be in good form to throw something back to the group.

that or maybe he allow arklan to mine with them

He has been mining with three hubs full including the warrantied units, at almost half a coin per day right now. After already being paid for 5, thats a very generous bonus from the group.

It would be a simple thing to throw the leftover warrantied units back at the group after 6 months.

If no-one needs warranty swaps after 6 months, auction them off within the original group buyers, as my $0.02

What do you say arklan, does that sound fair to you and the group?

Seems to me that he's the guy who ran this show so it's legally and ethically right that the units are his outright.  We would not even know about them but for his high level of communications and transparency.

Again we are talking about the 19+ warranty units, warranty units covered under our 2.1013 payment. They belong to the group, and listed as warranty replacements by ASICMINER (~10 sent per batch of 300).

Not 5... There are currently 24 "extra" units: 19 included under the terms of our warranties plus 5 unaccounted for.

Six months of arklan mining with them could range from 30 to 50 BTC, that's already a nice bonus for managing the return policy.

All I'm saying is it would be fun and generous to throw them back at the group when it's over.

As for the "extra" units.  They should be auctioned off internally and the proceeds should be split among all of us in proportion to how many we ordered out of the total.  I hate lotteries... random shit sucks.

Seems fair if someone wants to remember to organize that six months from now. I wonder what the other group buys are doing?

Did we ever decide what to do with any extras left after the warranty period is over? I heard some ideas like giving them out in a lottery, etc.

I already have two 7970's, I've been thinking about picking up 2 more cards. Can I grab 2 7950s and add them to the system without stability/compatibility issues?

Yes cards in a series (7900 series in this case) should be problem free.

Arklan:

I'm in Europe, you should be shipping me earlier rather than later. I also paid early, and extra (which you decided post-fact and I agreed to).

Are you shipping them in some particular order? I've tried to find this info but this thread has been spammed a lot and I might have missed it.

Cheerio.

The bulk orders of 10 or more were given overnight shipping AND priority order. I assume when the next box of blocks arrive on Tuesday the rest of us will be sent tracking info shipped Wednesday? If arklan is prepared this time with labels and boxes and a car, perhaps they ship out Tuesday, either way the ETA is looking like Friday through next week.

If it makes you two feel better, I run both cgminer and bfgminer! Thanks for your work... whoever wrote whichever parts.  Grin

cgminer was ok running a 6800 gpu next to a 7900 series
bfgminer out of the box runs the stock cairnsmore

If I had to vote on forum profile pictures alone, the sword is pretty cool.

Without the "larger" orders, those of you with smaller orders would not have met the MOQ.  You'd still be waiting for smaller fish to come along to meet the sales requirements.  Be glad we've committed and paid quickly enough that we're the first batch out of the factory.

And coming in at the dead end, after the quota has been reached but with a large order means you get priority queue shipping? Not really following but ok.

The first 200 shipped wont even cover the bulk orders on the list, so which bulk orders get priority now, lol...

I understand bulk orders receive overnight shipping, but these are still being mailed out in priority order on the spreadsheet or payment received?

Speaking as a representatives for the bulk buyers (if I can presume), any order of 10 units or more should be shipped out USPS overnight.  It's only 20 USD.

Arklan - Does this sound OK?

The average order size is 4, how about we classify bulk as 5 and up Cheesy

This has nothing to do with my order size...
