XCP asset exchange sucks.
1) too slow
2) not user friendly unless you are a command-line hacker
3) most of the time XCP is broken (developers suck)
Screw XCP, go with the NXT decentralized asset exchange. NXT actually works and has a beautiful 1 click install and fantastic implementation.

A desktop client/wallet was hugely preferred. Admittedly a sample size of 16 people isn't statistically significant, but it's something to think about. There's a discussion about it in the thread on the forum.

I see a lot of people try to install the NXT wallet, but without understanding the manual configuration, and later gave it up.

And let me add this... When you lose an investor it's 10 x harder to get them back.
NCC is just the first step, this is a long-term project, more exciting products will come and we should be grateful to the NEM dev team for their hard work.

Unfortunately I'm not a programmer and may you laugh me, but what if we would write another coin (little brother of NEM), which would only be possible to mine/forge by trading and/or holding NEM?

even more animate to use this Movement.
More I would bet some little stakes for Social Media, especially pages which are specialized for enlightening peepz and tell them about our current monetary system .

It is very nice idea and it is doable via creating asset/ coin on top of the asset exchange.
Maybe we can create a thread to discuss it.

to be honest, I am a bit surprised more stakeholders are not excited as I am and choose to remain silent

But on the bright side it is more active than most new coins, and I imagine there will be a huge up increase when Nem is nearing completion.
if we use the number of post of each id in this thread to compute the GINI coeffiecient, the current GINI coefficient is 0.677, while the dogecoin thread is 0.74, the nxt thread is 0.85.
the less the coeffiecient, the more activated of each id.
I think a lot of people will activate here when we get the coin is launched
