haven't found a way to mine with my older cards (two 5870 and one 5830) for neoscrypt efficiently...i think it is only a matter of time till someone tweaks the miner for older cards, currently i'm using it to mine cryptonote with claymore miner and these three cards fetch me 754h/s compared to a single 280x h/s of ~600h/s....i remember when claymore later added support for older cards, the same will happen to neoscrypt miners..

Have you tried the kernel modded for older cards yet?

If not, try this: http://phoenixcoin.org/downloads/neoscrypt_vliw.cl

I'm using it for 5870's....42 kh/s each card...hopefully soon someone get's a kernel for us.

will try it.thanks.

that is very inefficient..my 7750 is at 70kh/s..5870 could double that of 7750 to about 140kh/s more..seen it double in other algo like scrpyt and cryptonote.

EDIT: it works thanks damm315er....hey lsss you should try other settings, mine is -i 11 -w 64 -g 1 (overclocked)

the ~100 kh/s is my 5830 and the 140 - 170 kh/s are my 5870's..don't know much about "WU" it is too high compared to my 280x but 0 HW which is good.

there is still the ..i'm still tweaking

Yeah, something wrong there. 100% rejects and 0 accepted shares. But if you get it sorted and still have that high of a hashrate, that's great.

Which kernel and miner are you using?

http://phoenixcoin.org/downloads/neoscrypt_vliw.cl on sgminer

i tried a few tweaks but still unsuccessful

I would say it is because of sgminer, ghostlander says it will work but I couldn't get it to work. I suppose it depends on the version of sgminer. So i just used cgminer 3.7.8

https://forum.feathercoin.com/index.php?/topic/7780-neoscrypt-gpu-miner-public-beta-test/?p=70103

If it gives you any trouble with cgmner 3.7.8: https://forum.feathercoin.com/index.php?/topic/7780-neoscrypt-gpu-miner-public-beta-test/?p=70159

I have three 5870's and would like to mine FTC at TMB. Any one have neoscrypt running decent for AMD 5870? I'm only getting 20kh/s per card, using badman's current mod miner.

Check the FTC forums - they have a cl for old cards.

Thanks, I did see that forum and tried that cl, I think neoscrypt_vliw, but it doesn't work with this Multi-Algo version of SGMiner, at least not badman's latest mod version. Is there a version of the Multi-Algo SGMIner it does work with?  I think over at the FTC forum they were using some new version of CGMiner?

Anyway I was hoping to mine FTC at TMB with the algo switcher.

Thanks,

badman...I am using "kernel" and it works fine on your latest mod miner from your sig.

Also, on an earlier version, also a v5 from your sig (4.2.2-254-gfdd4), I HAD to use "kernel". I tried and tried to get the miner to build bin's with the as expected "algorithm" and it would not. I could not figure it out. As a hail mary I tried "kernel" and it proceeded to build all bin's in a jiffy with no other changes.

On your latest miner badman, I just copy/pasted my conf over and no issue building bins with "kernel". I have not tried "algorithm" with this newest miner though.

On a side note, with this newest mod miner one of my three 5870's is going dead. Has never happened before and still doesn't with the last v5 miner I was using. Not sure why this new miner doesn't like it.
my version should be the same as the develop branch except for some changes to the *.cl files in the kernels folder

as for your card going dead, none of mine have had this problem
what algo are you having problems with

It's definately happening with X11, as I have been locked on that algo for most of the time lately. When I first started using the miner I am "pretty sure" it happened on some other algos too, probably X13, but can't really say for sure, at the time I was using the algo switching for X11, X13, X15, and Nsit5, the pool primarily switching between X11 and X13. At first I didn't pay much attention to it, thinking it was just a fluke, and just rebooted and carried on. But it's still happening while locked on X11 for sure.

I'll keep playing with it and see if I can find out more, and let you know what happens. I can't really do much with it for the next few days though. Right now I am thinking I'll raise the GPU V a bit and see if that does it, but it would surprise me if that's it as I'm running the same V I have always used, including on the scrypt and scrypt-N algos, which as you know push the cards much harder.

With all of them added, it has helped my 5870's with X11. 1.922mhs from 1.895

I'm running 3 5870's and 1 7950.

I run these cards at stock clocks of 850 with minimal V, same with my 7950.

@ badman...

Could you tell me what each of these do, and to which algo's each applies to?

"hamsi-expand-big" : "7",
"hamsi-short" : true,
"blake-compact" : true,
"keccak-unroll" : "8",
"luffa-parallel" : true,

I used all 5 and it helped my X11 a bit, but hurt X13 more than it helped X11.

I haven't tried any other algo's yet.

Oh badman...I just remembered...this version of your miner I am using also has the split .conf feature.

So:

It's from your sig right about the time you started placing your newest builds in your sig. It was one that you compiled win binaries for before your system broke if I remember correctly.
File name sgminer_v5_0.zip
Uses "kernel"
SGMiner 4.2.2-254-gfdd4
Has darkcoin-mod.cl
Utilizes the 14.6 driver
Split .conf feature

Here is the link to this (as above) algo switching SGminer V5 miner I am using (an old one of badman's) confirmed working and stable with AMD 5870 for algo's X11, X13, X15, & Ndist5. Vista x32 & x64, 13.12 & 14.6 drivers. Also includes my working .conf for TMB:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/k88qcal3q8a14ay/sgminer_v5_0%20-%205870.zip

I know I'm a newb here and my saying so doesn't mean much, but the DL is clean, I haven't messed with it. (unless badman whacked on it before I got it Tongue )

my 5970 card work with normal sgminer 4.1.0 x11mod,x13modold,nist5mod kernel but dont work with sgminer 5 and x15 kernel(bitblockold)

but dont work and driver crash with sgminer 5 simple i mining with 4336,3336 port in nicehash with darkcoin-mod kernel

http://s5.picofile.com/file/8132726376/Snapshot_2014_07_31_010433.png

If you're saying this window is of the x15 algo that's not working, you need to use bitblockold.cl

NEVERMIND - I don't under stand "dont work and driver crash with sgminer 5 simple i mining with 4336,3336 port in nicehash with darkcoin-mod kernel"

I can say it did drastically increase the hash rate of my 7950, along with the 14.6 RC2 driver.

The 7950 went from ~ 2.2mhs to 2.8mhs (x11). It brought my 5870's (all by itself - same driver) from ~1.3mhs to 1.75mhs (x11), with the same 13.12 driver as my prior miners (lasybears x11mod).

Also note I run the 7950 at a low 850/1100, like the 5870's 850/1200.

I also might add:

In one system I am running a 7950 on 14.6 RC2 driver (in the miner folder) with a 5870 on 13.12 driver (the system driver), same miner for both.

On another system I run (2) 5870's on 13.12 driver and the same miner as above.

It does have the darkcoin-mod.cl though, and def requires "kernel" to run. When I first started it up I used "algo" and couldn't for the life of me figure out why it would build the proper bins, then tried 'kernel" and has been perfect since. I remember I got it from your sig right about the time you started placing your newest builds in your sig. It was one that you compiled win binaries for before your system broke if I remember correctly.

I can post a copy of it if it would help you identify it. It was named simply - sgminer_v5_0 -

The sgminer window states:

sgminer 4.2.2-254-gfdd4

To the AMD 5/6000 guys... I have no problems running 5870's with Vista x64 & x32 - SGM v5 - 13.12 or 14.6RC drivers and switching between x11, x13, x15, ndist5 with no problems. Stable for days on end. I do get slightly better hash rate on the 13.12 drivers. I am getting ~ 1.75mhs x11, 1.35 x13, 1.15 x15 and 7.5 ndist5. Mind you this is with my clocks at 850/1200.

The thing is I really don't know which version of the miner I am running. I got the win binaries download from badman's sig a while back. All I can tell from it is I need to use "kernel" rather than "algo" and the SGMiner window states:

sgminer 4.2.2-254-gfdd4

@badman...is there anyway for me to tell what version I have?

This second line is from the Home Page, you see it is showing SPECULATIVE for me rather than the exchange so I didn't realize they were being exchanged.

Just curious...Below is IO coin from the Balances page, not yet on an exchange. I mined 104 coins in the last 24 hrs....46 pending exchange and 4 unconfirmed....where are the other 54 coins? And wherever they are, I assume they accompany any others mined prior to the last 24 hrs.?

AC's premine was hidden, this one was just not mentioned... lol and no where near the disgusting amount like AC had.

idea's for bounties.

- a good reddit page w/ mod keeping it up to date

- dido for facebook and twitter (all 3 should be diff people)

- promo video's

- articles/blog's

- could even do 50 coins for a tweet or facebook status or reddit post (just once per individual per site)

there's lots of ways to spread the premine and get it working for us

Perfect ideas! What do you think the bounty price of NEB for those should be set at?

A multipool is something I want done eventually as well...I was thinking like ~ 2,000 NEB for the multipool as it usually takes a good amount of time and development.

The reward should be fair.

at least 750 a piece for the fb,twitter,reddit pages if you expect them to update them daily or answer questions (maybe an additional 25 coins per month for a couple months)

1000 for well placed blog/article  (seen/high traffic blog site)

250 - 500 for blogs/articles on smaller sites.

the 50 for individuals who tweet/status/post is a great way for individuals to know for themselves bounties are being paid and would equal tons of attention

making the premine wallet open to the public to view is vital for transparency

+1

This will help bring back the trust

Not sure what you mean, but it is on the Bittrex site that they did receive 30K coins to destroy.
