Hello,

I would like your thought and advice regarding pc trading to prevent security hack?

1/Use Cable Ethernet (no wifi connexion)

2/Create à virtual machine in which i’m Going to install Linux cuz as I heard window is not so good in term of security

3/Use vpn : which is the best for trading pc?

4/Bookmark exchange website that i use and double check that the website address in the search bar are in the same

5/2FA Google Authenticator

I heard about RDP (Remore Desktop control),
What do u think? Is it really neccessary ?

Thanks all for sharing your input

Try the following:

1. Go to the iPhone Settings App (your phone settings)
2. Select General
3. Select Date & Time
4. Enable Set Automatically
(5. If its already enabled, disable it, wait a few seconds and re enable it)

I tried your following but still the same error message

Than’ u for taking the time to reply

new code generated after time has elapsed (e.g. every 30 seconds) -> Time based -> TOTP.

I don’t understand why it doesn’t work cuz my iPhone automatically synced the time

Do you use google authenticator?
If so, are you using TOTP method (time-based code) or HOTP (counter-based code) ?

If you are using TOTP (the most frequently used): Check that the clock of your phone is synced.
You might try to sync it mannually in the settings. This is one of the most frequently appearing 'problems'.

Thanks for your input but i use an iPhone, it’s automatically synced

But didn’t the hackers succeed in withdrawal little amount ?

How about the owners of the Binance accounts that were impacted by the hackers?

Cuz the hackers bought a «  coin » with a pair, so the owner of the binance account lost all even the hackers couldn’t do the withdrawal as the coin bought worth less?

Re: WHat’s the issue with binance days ago???

It was nothing more than a phishing attack on the dumber users of Binance, and it worked flawlessly. It was done to create a massive coin pump, where the hackers then would withdraw their Bitcoins, but failed.

Binance's security mechanism noticed malicious activity, and halted all withdrawals, where instead of the hackers making loads of money, they lost their coins because of how they couldn't withdraw anymore.

People always need to have 2FA active, but the most important aspect is that you don't click on links somewhere on the internet in order to visit a certain site. Always manually type your URL, which is a must.

Don't even bookmark anything. Type URL, check if it's correct, then proceed to the site.

Lucky binance security is on point

hackers can make loads of money if they could withdraw the money ? but that wasn’t the case cuz binance halted all withdrawals

I thought that all users on binance active their 2FA for security purpose, that’s why 2FA was created for

Thanks for thé advice regarding manually typing the url ,

Even the bookmark , it’s scary
