Hmm, if you are looking at it long term, i dont think that you can consider bitcoin as a bubble. In the past people said that internet is a bubble. Yet it continues to exist and is used by people all around the globe. Same thing can be applied with bitcoin. Point is there is nothing to be afraid of. These investors are just saying things so that they can have the upper hand.

Oh that's just sad but this part is a mistake for the said individual. Everyone of us is responsible for our own actions, having said that we are the ones that need to protect our hard earned money. There are a lot of measures that can be done in order to protect it. but for this guy i don't know he just gave all the access. Remotely and his password as well. It is pitiful yes, but we should have learned from the mistakes of others.

Re: NYSE Owner on Bitcoin Futures: “We May Be Stupid for Not Being First”
by

To be honest i think this was a good move by NYSE, From what i have my understood in bitcoin futures is that you will be paying say an X amount of money in advance. Like if you have predicted that bitcoin in a month or two will be at 30K USD, you will paid in advance but for a lower amount maybe 25K USD and now you are on a contract. If in a month or two it did not reach the 30K mark then good for you but if it exceeds it i guess that is bad since you were only paid 25K, with this being said and judging on how volatile the market is they will be at a loss.

Oh wow, someone who created another account just to say bad things about a campaign or a campaign manager. Try putting your shoes on the manager's position. There is definitely a reason why the campaign manager locked the thread. You just have to look at the rank and trust rating of the person, do you think for someone who made it to the rank of legendary with that much trust rating will just go and scam people? i don't think so. Also your claim is not credible from the start as you did not use your original account just to post this rubbish topic.

Re: Bitcoin futures

From what i understand with bitcoin futures, i think that this is backed by institution with a huge amount of bitcoins on hand, What they will do is to have you put the x amount of bitcoin ahead of time in terms of a contract, something like betting, now if by that time bitcoin's price rise from the amount on the contract then i guess you double your bitcoin but if it dips then you will lose double because you will not be able to sell it short.

Re: Bitcoin surpasses $19,000 on Coinbase!

Say what now?! from 16.6K to 19K? That is one huge leap. I have not seen that though, i think it is just for a split second, could be a glitch on coinbase or something, but if that is the case if that huge leap actually happens it will surely be followed up with a huge dip. It is just to correct the price. A lot of people are selling now at 16K hence price dropped back somewhere between 14K to 15K.

Re: Bitcoin value
by

Those were the real value of bitcoin, It's just that bitcoin's price differ from one exchange to the other. Say for example polionex may reach 15K USD first but on other exchanges It is still at 14K+ but that does not mean that polionex is better than the other. If you are already on one exchange such as GDAX then that is the platform where you should look at to check the value of BTC.

Re: Possible reasons that Bitcoin will be gone
by
lucifochrome
on 07/12/2017, 12:15:44 UTC
There are multiple reasons that will cause bitcoin to be gone, but realistically speaking it may not happen. Reasons are First no Electricity, if this happens bitcoin will not exist and we are back to the dark ages, with this being said, if there is no electricity worldwide then there is no Internet as well. The other reason is that there is no market. If people does not support bitcoin then it will not exist simple as that. Bitcoin still rely on the community that supports it. The hardware and stuff are only secondary to that.

Most people who don't know what bitcoin is are scared to hop on board. This is simply because, Us humans have fear of the unknown, however some of these people wanted to join bitcoin and considering the price of bitcoin now they think this is easy money, but if they are to face any obstacle along the way without knowledge whatsoever of what bitcoin truly is they tend to fall on their asses and will find someone to blame, which will lead them to think that bitcoin is a scam and whatnot.

Re: How far can Bitcoin go?
by
lucifochrome
on 06/12/2017, 20:45:58 UTC
About the market cap, bitcoin cannot reach the same amount. If what you are referring to is for 1 BTC to be equivalent of say 219000000. If that is the case then answer is Yes and No, It may reach that amount but it will take a very long time. The price is dependent on the law of supply and demand, meaning to say that if there is no demand then it will not reach the said price and if ever it reaches that price market cap by that time will also double or triple the current price.
