Hey all,

Its been some time since i posted, but i was digging around and came across these Kialara bars i tucked away a while back.

They are the artist series bars, purchased directly from the mint by me.  They each contain a 1oz Silver coin and I recently requested the protective cases which will come with the bars.  I have not handled them but to take pictures omve or twice so they are pristeen and in original packaging.
and
I would like to sell them, but am unsure of the value, so i am requesting some help in determining price, and accepting offers for each or the pair.

Please make offer here of in PM, I can email pictures to prospective buyers, as im having trouble uploading from this device im logged onto to forum on.

Thanks

He is also running the checkpoint server.

I take it that it is not a money issue, but more like he is not providing the service anymore ?
I can run it on my server - I wonder if he would be willing to share his code for the explorer ... Smiley

Correct, he is ending all block explorer services unrelated to money.

I am fairly certain his explorer code was made open sourced upto and including his forth and latest version.

It would be nice to have everything transfer over to you're server to avoid checkpoint/server issues...

Hello,

I wanted to inform the community that I have received word from the owner of CryptoCoinExplorer that service for the blockchain explorers will end after Jan. 1 2017

Spiderbox, aren't they coded as the connection node? This may need to be addressed.

I'de like to thank DreamWatcher for his support of Bitbar through the explorer since 2013.

Cheers

Congratulations Userpike, you did indeed successfully staked a block on the Bitbar BlockChain worth

0.90001BTB

Bitbar has an annual inflation rate of 6% to mimic a real world inflation rate.

After One month Held Blocks are eligible for staking , but aren't fully matured unless held for three months.

A block that goes stake without being fully matured "splits" into to blocks retaining the total amount of bars staked.

Once staked bars must wait 520 blocks to be returned to owners wallet.

If you Hold Bars until maturity, they will stake a single block with original total plus any staked bars.

I feel like one of the biggest wallets, if not the biggest is the cryptsy Bitbar wallet.

Remember their wallet went offline around block 135,000ish if I recall correctly.

The bars are still there I feel, there wasnt another exchange to dump on, as BTER volume was shit, and plus their hacking issue.

Last I heard, there is  a lawyer in Florida that is filing to represent cryptsys frozen assets, but I do not know if vern has giving over private keys to all the wallets... or in our case, Bitbars keys.

@ Spidersbox, and userpike

Thank you both for your replies and help,I love that we have a good dev and a good community that keeps BTB strong Cheesy

Go BitBar!!!  Grin

@ userpike, yes I am on windows wallet  Wink
Always welcome.
It's good to have lot's of information in this thread for new people to read - all we need are new people  Cheesy

If you build it, they will come....

New BitBar wallet is cool but it wont stay in sync.It keeps falling behind everyday and when/if I get it to sync it just goes back out,is there a reason for this and why does the wallet still say the checkpoint is to old?

Thanks for any help, not trying to be negative or an ass, just reporting issues and hoping for solutions  Grin

Please report any issues - the more information the better.

I haven't heard back from dreamwatcher about the checkpoint server.  I sent him the private key for setting it up back on Fri 4/29/2016, guess I'll sent it again....

- general info for all readers:

As for your wallet syncing (or not), I would shut it down, delete the peers.dat file and both .log files(easier to look through) and try again.

you can add nodes to your config file from the list at http://btb.cryptocoinexplorer.com/peerinfo it's generally not needed, and it doesn't hurt.

addnode=65.102.140.116
addnode=82.181.121.182
.....

(don't add the :xxxxx)

note: If for some reason you were on a different chain, or your wallet just hiccuped and spewed nonsense out to the network, your wallet could end up being banned for 'misbehaving'
It's a temporary ban set for 24 hours. (most wallets are 10 minutes - I don't know why they designed bitbar this way)

Sounds like part of the original over engineering of Bitbar, with emphasis on security.

520 Confirmations over 120
Difficulty Adjust every block
Pos/Pow hybrid
ect?

I still think there is a wallet out there that has actual skins. Maybe I am mistaken and confused, Netcoin has "themes" which is pretty much a skin. I'll keep looking though but it might be the wallet I was talking about.
So far so good with my skins experiment. It's not as bad as I thought it would be.
QT uses CSS - kind of like web pages.
The problem is some of the styles is in each individual page, like address book has it's own, transaction view has it's own, overview page ....  it's in the forms, then there are styles in the code (.cpp files)
I just have to combine what I can.
- It's do-able.

Excellent.

I would really love a black wallet, with gold highlights. Something sharp and classy Wink

Thanks for the hard work... we know you love it Smiley

The community should go with the fork that BTER and Cryptopia hopefully are both on. Default to the exchanges, and always addnode the exchanges in your wallet.

I don't think BTER even has their Bitbar clients running. I attempted a test withdrawal nearly a month ago, submitted a support ticket and got a simple "thanks"

The two big hashing pools and Cryptopia seem to be running the show right now

I sent 20 btb over a week ago, and it never showed up. I submitted a couple of tickets, and sent an email.
for now, I think bter bites.

If you recall BTER was hacked for quite a large amount a year or ago. It is very well possible they are operating in the same manner as Cryptsy had.

So my wallets are in sync with ispace and cryptopia, but not cce.
Anybody else ??

note: cce is almost 190 minutes from last block.

It appears there may be another fork that a majority amount of miners have switched to.

The coin daemon and explorer at CCE are in sync with each other but there are only a half dozen or so peers connected to the daemon.

So again, the community needs to decide which fork to use. The issue I have is which chain should I try to resync the coin daemon on CCE, if I should resync at all.

I recall Bitbar using checking, rather checkpointing in the past. Is there any way to get a check point server going to stop the forking

I think a re-sync is in order and some ideas on checkpoint servers,

So there is talk of alternate Bitcoin Clients that could work together, but certain features would be present in One version, butabsent in another. Perhaps applied to Bitbar as an alternate checkpointing client... working with user clients.

Good looking out with the address book. I had no idea.. I did shut the wallet down, restart it and the addresses showed up in the receive coins tab though. ..was in the process of posting the news but it made me review the thread because there was a new post before i hit the post button.

Thanks for the help!

You also lukemarshall.

My pleasure.

Anyone know how to separate Bitbars in a wallet.dat? It seems that no matter what the amount I try to move I get the same error as before. ..and still it keeps charging tx fees.. Angry

I would like to somehow move only the coins I can use to a new wallet address or something.. Undecided

I'm glad to see BTB listed over @ cryptopia. This is the first time I've heard of them. From what I've seen so far, I like it.   ..and finally we can trade BTB again.. Grin

..now if i can just get the bars out I can use that would be great.

I sure am mining to a new address on a new wallet.dat now though.

Isolate your old address and copy it.

In the Console use the feature dumpprivkey (your address here)

You will receive a private key corresponding to that single address.

In your new wallet go to the console and use the feature importprivkey (your private key)

That address and the funds it hold will be transferred to your new wallet.

Repeat this process for any addresses that hold Bitbar.

Hope this helps & Good luck

Bittrex has an information page on accepting new cryptos to their exchange.

A couple requirements..

Submitting a Coin to Bittrex - Updated 11/16/15
...

To help speed up the process of deploying your coin, we require the following information sent to support@bittrex.com:

Coin Name
Coin trading symbol - Please verify that your preferred symbol is not already in use on our exchange or any other.  There are a number of services that track coin prices that require the symbols to be unique. Even if the symbol is not on our exchange anymore, we won't reuse it.  Consider your symbol carefully because we will not change it once it is set
A logo for your coin - png format with a transparent background.  The logo should be square with dimensions of 1000x1000 pixels with no white space on its border and no taglines.  It should only be a logo and expect it to show up in multiple spots in the Bittrex UI.
Launch Date (past or future)
Github Link - We only accept source code.  We will not run a binary that you provide us.
Did you raise money/bitcoin to launch your coin?  (i.e. a CFC/ICO)
Did you have a premine?  How much is it?  Is it escrowed?
What is the max money supply for your coin?
Exchanges you are currently on
Official blockchain explorer
What is your TxFee for a transaction
Any social media information such as your official website, twitter account, facebook page, subreddit, etc.
Optional information that heavily influences us:

Have a clearly stated purpose for your coin.  Why does it exist and what makes it unique?  If your ANN thread only has coin specs on it, you are not going to get listed on Bittrex.
Proof of identity and Identity Disclosure:  We provide identity verification if you are willing to provide verifiable identification documents directly to us.  We will require a picture of your identification and a second picture of you holding the id where your face and id are clearly visible.
Get your source code reviewed by a trusted member of the community
Information about your coin:  What is the concept behind your coin? If you have previously been listed on Bittrex, what has changed with your coin since then?
If you are interested in providing information to traders of your coin in our user interface, see Submitting Coin Information for the Bittrex UI
If you run a crowdfunding campaign on another platform and would like to get listed, the following additional requirements

...'..........

I couldn't link the page, but a search online brings up the entire page.

Happy Holidays to you to Spidersbox.

Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to the Bibar project.

Waiting to see difficulty break all time high...

Block 104748, diff= 209.212509 reward 0.102812

With all the POS blocks from Mastermining, we should start to see difficulty rising there too.

I asked the poolmaster@ H2C to add btb again and let him know about the updated wallet, even said "pretty please" lol

I'm the 173 address
The more pools the better.

It's kind of fun watching the peer list - kinda like watching paint dry though.

I'm the 63 address - both of them, some times more. I've got two wallets on the bitbar test net generating coins so I can work on some more updates. I think the next will be wallet repair related.

Good times

BTB is back on H2C! theres already like 1500 MH right now on the net, just from there!
NICE
job USERPIKE!

You can witness the surge of new hash on the blockchain... 200+ POW blocks in the first couple hours after they re-joined the network @ block 145433

Difficulty getting close to 42 !
maybe we should have waited to get the 'other chain' miners on ours  -  just kidding !
but my little 9 Mhash isn't doing much now....

The blockchain is reacting to the different hashes, difficulty over 43 now, block reward decreased by 0.007734
Blocks still coming in fast... difficulty seeking equilibrium.

I don't think anyone likes losing coins due to mining the wrong fork.

Looks to me like Mastermining is trying, he snyced for a time with CCE @ blockheight 145041, but his large amount of small transaction with high coin age (coupled with the low difficulty of POS) staked the network at a very fast rate until it broke onto its own fork again after block 145244... and left CCE Peerlist

I believe his wallet to be staking itself and not communicating with the network.A fix for this would be a simple resnyc, but upon a resync send the entire wallets contents to itsself to stop the POS extravaganza.

Mastermining, This would also bee beneficial as you would be able to earn interest on your total after 30days.

Good luck
