MyWallet is not sync?
we download end extract the wallet. opend the wallet made a new adress and locked with password. made a backup and close the wallet. i download the bootstrap and replace the files in roaming. opend the wallet but still nothing happens (out of sync). i dont see any movement or a sync task. connection stays on 1 and sometimes go to 2.

pls. need help.

It may take days to sync up.  With the current version you may have to close the wallet and reopen it a number of times; it should make slight progress each time.

How blockchain will help the development of alternative power industry? I myself am an engineer and would like to learn it. While I saw a made purse on the page, a coin, but how about developments. There are examples of successful energy projects?

My understanding is that there is a "funding" platform planned that will utilize teslacoin as the method of payment.  The preferred focus and theme of those being funded will include "alternative power industry" inventions and the like.  So far, Teslacoin is successful in energy efficiency by only beginning with Proof of Work (like bitcoin) but has been shifted to Proof of Stake (for now, which doesn't require people to compete with computing power and therefor waste energy, while still maintaining the network).  Subsequently, I'm not sure it has yet to be decided on how we determine who has created the next block (after all teslacoin have been mined).

Is it just me or wallet syncing really slow. I'm at block 1379246. Each day I'm downloading 1000  blocks. Looks like it will take forever to catch up to current block. My current block is November 3rd. Latest bootstrap seems November 4th. Is there any way to sync faster?

Until the new version is out the way to do it is to open the wallet, let it sync until it doesn't increase the number of blocks for a few minutes (ie: appears to stop syncing).  Close the program.  Wait a few minutes (for it to completely close), reopen it.  Rinse, repeat, until it syncs up.  Each time it opens it'll catch up by a bit, sometimes by only a few hundred blocks, sometimes by thousands.

Thanks. But still no success. Looks like I should wait for the new update.  Smiley

That's really weird.  May want to try it a couple of times.  Basically if a new block is created while your wallet is trying to update itself, your wallet will stop updating.  If a new block is created immediately after your wallet is opened, your wallet won't update at all during that particular session.

How to launch a purse on the Rapsberry?
How many coins are needed for mining?

I have no experience with raspberry pi's but I'm not aware of there being a minimum amount of coins for staking.  You get ~1% per month with staking, so if you have .0001 teslacoin you're just going to get ~.000001 teslacoin in a month for staking that.

It is strange. My wallet is not fully synced but still staking mature coins.

Kinda strange. Can you post a screenshot please?

Here's the screenshot.

My understanding is your wallet is calculating staking anytime it deems it appropriate.  Once it realizes it is not in sync it will adjust itself to account for the fact that the "current" staking is not valid.

Anyone know what it would take to get us on an exchange like CEX.IO or Coinbase?  Not complaining about Cryptopia, but I don't see why Teslacoin shouldn't also be available in direct trade for cash either.

I've been looking, and I can't find the file/code in your repository that actually deserializes the transaction.  Either that or the search isn't working, idk.  Could you please identify it for me?

with the new version for the wallet, is the following issue solved:

each time I wanted to synchronize the wallet, it was stopping ever 500 blocks
and was stuck each time.
I needed to close the wallet and open it again to be able to sync for a new 500 blocks....

I shared the issue here, but nobody got a solution and I finally gave up
to have a functional TES wallet

Any idea if now all is fine on that regard?

thanks

Depends on what, specifically, you're talking about.  Are you talking about a wallet that is substantially behind in the blockchain or one that is up to date?  If its the former, use a boot strap for now.  It is being looked into.  If it is the latter, then we'd need more details to make full sense of what is going on.

I have submitted to the dev team what I think is going on with the wallets.  I think its in the core code.  Though I'm not sure that will address the "cannot find address in input script" error.  I will look into it.

Hi, can you upload New bootstrap in other place? Mega.nz is blocked for me. Thanks.

May want to try a vpn.  Even a web based one might work, though it might be slow.  I do not know of a free one that works for china though (assuming that's where you are).

Hello. I want to put a teslacoin wallet on a usb stick. What size shoul be that usb? Thank you for answer. Good luck dev!

At this point my teslacoin folder (blockchain and all) is under 2gb.  So, 2gb sounds like it'd be big enough for now.  Be sure to consider the "formatted" storage, as it is likely under 2gb, so maybe 3-4gb?  Of course as teslacoin is adopted more and more the size of the blockchain will increase. We could be at over 100gb in a few years, just like Bitcoin.

indeed, not so long ago, Cryptopia course TESLA was high enough, now is the opportune moment for the traders, for the purchase of coins for subsequent interventions and a very good profit.

It looks like many people were looking to invest in teslacoin on cryptopia.  The price went from around 100 satoshi to over 200 satoshi (on average) since they fixed it.  Also looks like the standing orders to buy have doubled.  Previously people had about 1 bitcoin worth of standing buy orders for teslacoin, now there's over 2 bitcoin worth of standing buy orders in like, what, 1-2 weeks?  Something tells me that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Hi Guys,

I saw that TESLA was active on C-CEX. When I looked closer however it appeared to be not TeslaCoin
but TeslaCoilCoin. Has anybody heard of this coin ? Is this a fork from the TeslaCoin ?
The website from this coin is:  http://teslacoilcoin.org/

good luck,
reiniere.

I think it's totally different coin and different dev team. Looks like they are also fans of Tesla. Yeah the concept is similar.

I take this then as a confirmation that TeslaCoilCoin is not a fork from Teslacoin (or other way) .  The similarity of name and
website and the odd client behaviour from TeslaCoin (switching between 2 blockchains) really made this impression.

reiniere.

reiniere, we really don't know for sure.  Though, I would guess, we would have heard if it had been an actual fork of our coin.  Its something you'd really be best off asking them to get a 100% confirmation.  Technically, anyone can fork a coin and do their own thing without the knowledge and or consent of the original coin.  Bitcoin Cash was arguably done without consent, as an example.  I would support the hypothesis that it is NOT a fork, but, honestly, I have no information to base that upon, just a lack of information.

Apparently it is not only on C-CEX but also listed on Yobit.

No reactions?  What reaction is there to have?  This isn't the teslacoilcoin thread, assuming there even is one.
