Re: STO's are not cryptocurrency's
by

a STO has to go through regulations exactly as a IPO does, a STO has to be traded on a ATS or through a broker thus not being allowed to freely transact in a currency like manner thus not making it a cryptocurrency.

yes,STOs and even ERC20 Tokens are not actually crypto currencies. They can be traded on exchanges, but can not be used for transactions

Before investing in cryptos, just follow simple rule- Invest what you can afford to lose-
If you are investing from your retirement or education or other savings,PLEASE Don't do that

Ledger Nano S is the best hardware wallet. It is most secure and easy to use. They have great customer service and they constantly add new coins and update their products
But remember, don't buy used or off market wallets, always buy straight from manufacturer ,if if it cost few bucks more

Not only cryptos, when ever there is boom in any sector,it also attracts many scammers and non-serious players who dream of getting rich with quick money (remember ,dot com and Tulips bubbles ?)
It is for the investors to be prudent enough and decide where to invest !

crypto exchanges are famous for hacks and stolen data.If it is my local bank or Govt ,I will be happy to give my KYC docs. Atleast they are stored offline
But again depends on how valuable is your ID.for you

Would you key in on an ICO project that is backed up by Gold and focused on the remittance industry?

I don't think there is any project backed by Gold..
even the stable coins like Tether which claims to be backed up by USD reserves has still not proved the existence of billions of dollars deposits (except a letter from a bank in a remote Island country)

Re: How to Identify Good Airdrops ??
by

on 12/02/2019, 15:03:07 UTC
I generally stay away from ICO airdrops (well 99% of them).Cos most of them are scams or even if they are not..they are just shitcoins ,luring bounty /airdrop hunters to pay peanuts for free publicity of thier projects. Some of them don't pay.Even if some projects pay after 3 months,by the time the coin will be trading 90% down and you will end up in small change..NOT WORTH THE TIME

Cheapest altcoin is not the best coin..most times it is a shitcoin
Check the circulating supply and market cap and the community support behind the coin

Re: Quadriga CEO Death - Real or fractional banking?
by

There are many things that does not connect in the case...starting from the Will he wrote just 1 month before his death to his death certificate
Now the latest update from E&Y is they have not found any traces of coldwallet .They only found some coins in hot wallet .
Bittrex has informed RCMP (the Canadaian equivalant of FBI) about some transactions/deposits that came from Quadriga exchange wallets after owner'd death

The city of Jaipur ,in India is famous for agents who can create fake death certificates..can not prove death until his body is recovered and DNA test is confirmed

Re: What profit has brought you to bitcoin?
by
lyfecoin
on 07/02/2019, 21:31:29 UTC
I have not joined or brought bitcoin for profit, but as means of convenience and privacy for online transactions (when dealing with unknown people online)
When I bought btc for $35 and sold at $120 ..i made profits..I regretted for selling when it went past 350 in just few days..I bought again at $400 and still holding some coins !

You are always in in profit investing in bitcoin..only at loss when you sell.. Buy btc ,Hold it,have patience..>> PROFITs !

Re: JPMorgan: Blockchain to improve payment systems
by

on 06/02/2019, 18:24:43 UTC
i think JPMorgan want people to buy bitcoin to pump price

have many people forgot about Jamie Dimon said He Doesn’t Give a Sh*t About It.

but JPMorgan buy a lot of bitcoin price drop after her said.

Blockchain is not bitcoin .
blockhain is the technology behind bitcoin..there are many companies implementing blockchain in their ecosystem/applications

I think bitcoin is looking for directions..It is stable now .But more chances of going upwards as any price less than $3k is not sustainable for miners
