Why bitcoin price getting low?
by
lyledark10
on 02/02/2018, 04:41:03 UTC
Crypto investors are seeing red this week. Bitcoin plunged to two-month lows on Thursday, dipping below $9,000 for the first time since November. At the time of writing, Bitcoin had bounced back up to the $9,200 level, down from weekly highs just above $12,000. This week has seen coins across the board in the red — a sign that investors are jumping ship to fiat currencies this time instead of swapping into altcoins as we’ve seen in the recent past.

The social media giant said it is barring ads for "financial products and services that are frequently associated with misleading or deceptive promotional practices, such as binary options, initial coin offerings, and cryptocurrency."

Re: Ways to promote Bitcoin
by

on 01/02/2018, 09:23:16 UTC
The best way to promote bitcoin is explain to a friend who are willing to earn bitcoins.
Promotion these days hits the only point of using social media. Fb, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, snap chat etc are social media platforms where one can put up ads and posts to promote Bitcoin.
Facebook is banning all ads that promote cryptocurrencies, including bitcoin, in an effort to prevent people from advertising what the company is calling “financial products and services frequently associated with misleading or deceptive promotional practices.

Is bitcoin vulnerable to theft?
by
lyledark10
on 29/01/2018, 06:33:47 UTC
Bitcoin is not vulnerable to theft but maybe your wallet, the bitcoin on your wallet can be stole by just hacking. Using a hardware wallet is assured to safe your bitcoins so that no hackers can access to you wallet. Use two authentication when logging in your wallet to avoid wallet being hacked.

It is enough to smart being smart leads to be strategic. A person who has it will be able to be rich by using that talent. Many people bitcoin users became rich because of there knowledge. Knowledge key to success. Being smart is the best way to grow in your life. Try to manipulate your knowledge.

See the news below I thought that's the reason why bitcoin price getting high now.

Another exchange Got hacked. Coincheck is one of the largest Japanese exchanges!  $534m has been hacked.

Source: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-42845505

It's another huge warning  to take  your crypto  out of exchanges.

Hardware wallet is the best bet. But like me if you find hardware wallet less user friendly then go for desktop wallet such as Exodus and Electrum.

Re: Merit & new rank requirements
by
lyledark10
on 28/01/2018, 00:42:11 UTC
So, if I send merit points to another user it will be deduced from my account? Most of bitcoiners are holder by nature I don't think they will spend their points even if they cross a good post ( maybe they will do if you pay them well  Wink )

It will be hard for moderators to check all members posts if they ask for their merit points (10 constructive posts), it would be better to use a Demerit system to punish shitposters.

Yes I agree with you. It better to have also demerit system so that it can minimises too the shitposters instead raise the very useful post and constructive,

I think that biggest problem of this merit system is that a lot of people is not using it. They simply ignore it.

Could visibility be increased changing the "+merit" color?

The merit system have been designed few days ago. Some of the members are not even going back online since this system was implemented. Sooner, people will get used to it. And if there are things like ignoring the merit system and ignoring the posts (even the constructive one), they won't be benefited for not doing that and that means that they are the type of people who doesn't want to embrace the new change. This new system teaches us to have a constructive post, and be open minded and teaches us to give those posts the merit they deserve.
..... All is well but we must also give the opportunity to the new to go up in grade...

That's why you have no merit requirement up to junior level and only 10 for a member. Highest ranks are supposed to be hard to achieve. The previous system based on activity was way too easy.

I hope the new highest rank is introduced, so all the current Legendaries have something to strive for.

Not sure whether people ignore it, or just waiting to see how this system will pan out. You don't want to shoot yourself out in the first week.

But changing colour is a great idea, green should do the trick.

+ Having sMerit balance shown on the Merit summary page would be useful (not visible for everyone though)

List of Countries that have Banned Bitcoin
Thailand– The Thai treasure banned bitcoin outright.
Chinap– The Chinese treasure enacted policies on bitcoin that pretty much restricted the use of the virtual currency.
Taiwan – The country’s Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) blocked efforts to install first-bitcoin-atm-installed-bostons-south-station Bitcoin ATMs in the country and restricted its use as an alternate currency.
India – The Indian’s central bank published a lengthly document against the use of bitcoin. If the country is not accepted by the central banking system, it’s pretty much useless.
Germany – The German government and central bank   formally accepted bitcoin as a private virtual currency but not as a public currency.
Bolivia – The developing country claims bitcoin was created by the United States government to wage financial warfare on other countries!
Russia – The Russian Prosecutor General’s Office says “Systems for anonymous payments and cyber currencies that have gained considerable circulation — including the most well-known, Bitcoin — are money substitutes and cannot be used by individuals or legal entities.”

We all know that we're lucky if our own country recognizes bitcoin instead of getting banned.

Re: What will happen to BTC price day before the last bitcoin will be mined?
by
lyledark10
on 27/01/2018, 13:23:56 UTC
It's scheduled to happen in more than a century, I think. Nobody can tell what will bitcoin be in such a long time. Either it's recognised as a currency and widespread during XXIe century, either it is abandoned an no one will mine this last bitcoin.
Yeah, you are right no one can predict the end and the price of bitcoin.
It's scheduled to happen in more than a century, I think. Nobody can tell what will bitcoin be in such a long time. Either it's recognised as a currency and widespread during XXIe century, either it is abandoned an no one will mine this last bitcoin.
I wonder what will happen to BTC price day before the last bitcoin (21 million) will be mined?
Would love to hear your opinions
It depends on the situation, if the time that the last Bitcoin gets mined and it is widely used as a currency (not as investment) and reached its mass adoption,  Bitcoin price will surely be more stabilized but the biggest challenge that Bitcoin will be facing at that time is, will it still be profitable for miners by just relying on transaction fees since there is no more rewards for every block they will mine. If not, for sure miners will switch to other cryptocurrency but I think that there are still miners that will remain (small time miners).
I just want to say that no one can analyse the price of the last bitcoin mined.

Merits are points that given to you you a very useful, meaningful and constructive. This highly needed to rank up fast. And merit is also acquired during applying a signature campaign. Merits is the best way to minimize the shitposter on this forum but maximises the good and useful posts.

No one can predict the price of bitcoin after 10 years. Bitcoin price is unstable. And we're not sure if bitcoin can reach it's supply 10 years from now.

Merits is the way to minimize the shit poster on this forum. This idea is very useful. They make the new participants to be constructive in their post so that they will be merited. To be merited you have to be constructive to your post and analyse first if it is useful and meaningful.

Re: Is Bitcoin really secure?
by
lyledark10
on 27/01/2018, 05:19:15 UTC
For me bitcoin is secured when you're using a hardware to assured account being hacked. When you are using an online wallet you can set two authentication to highly secure your bitcoin so that no one can access you wallet that having bitcoins.
