The Catfish Bitcoin Mining Shelf Rig Mk II - nearly complete:
Remaining things to do - remove CD-ROM (was only there for installing Linux on the three boards), screw in another wooden support for the hard drives, secure the PSUs where they currently sit (under the temporary boarding that the HDs sit on), and add two front doors - open mesh (like a rabbit hutch) or perspex frame with a single row of PC case fans horizontally down the centre, to blow air *onto* the top of the GPUs.
The aim is to get a furniture-like modular piece that can be moved anywhere and vents the majority of the hot air upwards, where it could be collected in an airbox and extracted using an extractor fan (or used to heat the house).
This one is consuming 2000W at the wall and is running really cool for air - haven't started overclocking in earnest yet but there's loads of headroom to come. I've finally come to a design I'm satisfied with, and will be rebuilding my Mk I Shelf Rig into the same design (I've got another two boards and 12 cards to use)...

Looking nice indeed. Them cards look really close, sure heat isnt a issue..... What are them cards? i can see the wood blocking some of the air holes on some of them completly (to the left), I can see issues man YOu got me itching want make another one now

Weird this popped up as a friend of mine messaged me yesterday about using a JTAG'd xbox 360 with these things. It as a very powerful 3 core processor that workd simalar to the G4/G5 PowerPC chip also which is what catfish was saying be interesting use.

It starts inching up to 37oC then goes down. At this point I'm still getting shares. Then it goes to 42oC and down to 38oC. Then it goes back up to 44oC. After this, it stops getting accepted shares.
This suggests that you have a USB problem, not a heating problem.

Close... This means the chips are faulty. Butterfly labs do not test anything before it leaves. Only the ones they mine with before sending it to the customer of cause. The evidence is on the inspection sticker that is not filled out on there units, just like mine. Just assembly date is filled in. Surprised me they didn't lie and just fill in a test date as well.

They won't even hit that target with the monarch and there is already companies you can buy off today that will deliver these figures and better today..... For less! Hell, there even announced there next 20nm devices for 2nd q 2014! Nevermind the sub 20's by the end of 2014!

Good choice, we get 580gh while it sips around 550w +/-50w and support is excellent. Firmware update fixed one of the modules that didn't work.
Cointerra is also worth looking at, ex head of asic design from Samsung is definitely worth paying attention too!

Your statement suggests that I was saying scams are fine because people are stupid. The only stupid person is you thinking that anything of that sort. I have given my condolences to people in the past but that doesn't change the facts here. If you ordered after march, you really need to work on your research techniques and use some of those brain cells. People want to be spoke to nice all the time but that's what leads us into the world we have today! Security over freedom and getting sweet fa for it.... We were warned about this! Critical thinking/critical advice is paramount to being better at what you do. When people put people on pedestals (think education system, actors/artists, CEO etc etc) these people believe all the hype that comes with been 'given& such status. PayPal refused me a refund, usual 45 days rubbish, I did a chargeback for my first order and the credit card company put the money straight back into my account within about 5 days. Bit of a pain to organise but worth it.

How do you charge back your order on your credit card company if you payed with your balance? (I ask the question because I payed with my paypal balance)
You have to take paypal to court, difficult but not impossible. It's under £100 in the UK and Paypal invariably settle the day of the case or a few days beforehand. But they like to leave it until the last minute. You can claim expenses and costs via the court so it won't cost anything once they pay up. If they offer less tell them to do one :-)
There are a number of successful cases on other forums if you need addresses for documentation etc. Google taking paypal to court in your country.
Because PayPal use the same tactics as prenda/bailiffs/tax people... All illegal practices and when stood up to using the right legalbe's they all back down.
