Re: What to Mine? Looking for New Coins for RX580 8GB GPUs

With 30 RX580s, you've got a solid setup for mining. You could look into Kaspa (KAS), it is becoming really popular among GPU miners because of its fast block times and efficiency.

On what type of drugs are you?

I'm using windows 10 with latest nVidia drivers, core clock lock and fan speed settings are working, but memory offset is not

GPU:
RTX 4090 - 46.79 KH/s
RTX 4070 Ti - 23.7 KH/s
RTX 3070 - 21.65 KH/s

https://t.me/journalmainera/3717

Which miner are you using? Pretty bad hashrate

With SRBminer I got

7900X3D - 22 kH/s
5950X - 20 kH/s
3900 - 14.3 kH/s

It's working for now without any problems but unfortunately I only have this one Pascal GPU left (1080 Ti) for testing (sold other models few years ago)

Tried it with RTX3070 but it's giving me a pretty bad hashrate, around 1.17-1.2GH/s compared to 1.53GH/s with lolminer on same clocks
Why newer cards have such a bad hashrate?

Re: Good news for KS0 owners !
by

I hope that there is going to be some picture of hashrate graph after few hours of mining where we can see that average hashrate is around 133GH/s and maximum achieved hashrate should be around 160-170 GH/s + ofcourse picture proof from the pool
Why? Because even with the stock firmware KS0 can jump to 140-150GH/s, and in this custom firmware there can be something malicious that is stealing few GH/s

12. the total number of coins never exceeds 10 billion dollars and will reach this value in about 100 years.

So, if I understood it correctly, the more coins there is mined, they are worth less and less because total market value of coins cant be more than 10 billion dollars?
Why would anyone mine this then? If there is more miners and more coins is mined, miners are actually loosing money beacause coins are worth less

yeah I did.

I don't know for sure. What is the cpu?

I know any mobos that uses celeron g3900 or newer should work.  The oldest cpus I have now are the g3900 they work with 3000

series.

I even have some mobos that use ddr3 ram with celeron g3900 they are fine. if you keep them all the same.

3060ti up to 4 tested and work
3070ti up to 3 tested and work
3080   up to 3 tested and work on the 6 slot onda clones

If I could cool them I think they would do more.

I also have a buddy with some 12 slot boards running 11x 3070's with g3900 cpu and 1600 speed ddr3 ram

at btcshiner best buy has been outstanding to buy the seasonic 850 and 1000 watt units.

Celeron G3900 is a 6 gen cpu and it goes into s1151 motherboards which are using DDR4 memory

Re: ETH network hashrate going to the moon!!!!
by
maXonja
on 15/03/2021, 08:27:10 UTC

i will answer you, straight away.

To begin with, i've been mining since mid 2017. i did it at that moment without knowing it could get it's ATH in January 2018. I ate myselft all the bear season in 2018-2019 and part of 2020, mining with very little profit. I did it, first because i wanted this technology to succeed, and the first important thing to do on a PoW coin, is to mine to support it. Every year with my hashrate in bear market (like 90$ an ETH coin) i lost money that i had to put from my wallet. i hated myself for having entered this market and i was at a point of selling the hardware. Finally, thank god, i didn't do it.

Now, that prices are really high, greedy guys, probably like you come like flies to try to get the most profit out of it, once all the rest, the real FIGHTERS held the coin working and secure from 51% attacks with their hashrates. Now that all "old" miners, like me, did the HARD, THE TOUGH AND UNPROFITABLE WORK, there are GUYS THAT ARE TAKING THE PROFIT FROM US.

I will explain it to you as an example: Imagen that you have to prepare meal. You have to go to the supermarket, buy all the food, get home, prepare it, cook it, put it on the table, and then, suddenly some big amount of MOFOS that saw your food enter your house and begin eating your food like real scammers. Those greedy guys taking advantage of you.

We are not talking about "small" amounts of people. We are talking about x2,5 on total hashrate in 7 months, and at these speeds, there will be like 600TH EVEN BEFORE POS IS IMPLEMENTED.

Do you know WHY I KNOW THIS PEOPLE ENTERING NOW ARE GREEDY BAST*RDS?? Because they are investing on a thing that will likely go PoS by the end of the year, with a price cut on July of over 40% on Fees with the implementation of EIP-1559. And they still invest? Why? Because this people know NOTHING ABOUT THE COIN, WHATS GOING ON OR WHAT IS GONNA HAPPEN SOON. They just care about money as much as possible which is why they are greedy B*stards.

ETH hashrate is growing so fast, that devs have said they will rush the implementation on PoS because they need to DISCOURAGE PEOPLE FROM MINING, because the more coins are mined, the more coins will be in the market, the less valuable they will be just for a matter on the amount of circulating coins.

The ETH hashrate has more than doubled from August 2020 to now. And this movement is related specifically due to greed people eating MY EFFORT AND THE EFFORT OF THE REST OF THE PEOPLE THAT HAVE KEPT MINING DURING VERY HARD TIMES. Those greedy people have destroyed part of my effort, a well deserved profit for my months through tough times.

Hell yeah, can't agree more with you man...
But the sad thing is, you can't do sh** about it

On the other hand, look at this from the bright side, you can sell some portion of coins now when the price is high and greedy basta*** probably won't payoff their overpriced gpu's

Re: PhoenixMiner 5.5c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux)

Well after what happened to NH few years back I don't blame them for initial overreaction. But the way they handled the whole thing... yuk

What happened back in 2017 has nothing in common with what they did this past weekend except that both incidents are the fault of NH.  Other than that, nothing in common.

Where was he comparing these two occasions? Just expressed his opinion on reacting to things, nothing else.

in 2017 it was an outside hack and lack of properly IT security.  On that occasion Nicehash took responsibility and did not overreact.  In 2020, they downloaded miner from an unreliable source and then panicked and started slandering and spreading FUD.  He compared the two occasions as justification for their recent over reaction.  That casually equivalency by people is why NH will get away with this recent shit.

Outside hack? Sure, and I thougt that no one believed in that bullsh**...
And few months later they pulled 8k BTC out of nowhere to give it back to people that they have robbed on peak of BTC price in last bull run

Well, he had stolen 80M worth of BTC in last bull run when it was on the peak and then returned it to people when it was worth 30M, so 50M robbery... It's obvious that you can expect everything from him
Maybe nicehash did this with purpose, uploaded infected version of phoenix miner to get passwords/private keys from people so he can rob someone again and now he passed the blame on phoenix miner dev

Ok, and if fork happens how would you delay a difficulty bomb on the chain that didn't implement EIP 1559?
One of the changes in London upgrade is also a delay of difficulty bomb which is a much bigger problem then burning the gas fees because when it kicks in in just a 2-3 months block time would grow too much. We had those situations 2 times already if i'm not wrong
