Please everyone make sure you take a backup of your wallet key files (privkey.der or privkey_encrypted.der and pubkey.der). You can use the "backup keys" button in the wallet or just copy and paste the files to another location. This backup is very important if your Bismuth files are lost or your computer becomes corrupt, stolen etc. If you are storing your Bismuth in a place where you don't have access to the keys (exchanges, web wallet etc.) please be aware that if those resources become corrupt, get hacked or disappear then you will not be able to recover your coins. Only store coins on 3rd party platforms for as short a time as possible e.g. only to do a trade etc.

The new code and scripts that we have made to assist Cryptopia with their issues have now been deployed or sent over. Cryptopia will now work on adjusting the exchange side of things. As ever the Bismuth team will continue to work with them so that trading can resume as soon as possible. As you may appreciate changes and fixes all need confirming and testing before deployment.

If the BIS do not show in the ledger - query your address at bismuth.online/ledgerquery - then they are still in the Cryptopia wallet and there was an issue in Cryptopia when they processed the withdrawal. The Bismuth dev team always tries it's best to help and assist but in the end we have no control over the Cryptopia wallet.

Hi - can someone point me in the right direction?

I have been reviewing some old wallets from a few years ago and found a Navajo coin wallet with around 100 coins in it. I beleive Navajo transferred to Nav coin some time ago and was wondering if there was still a way of exchanging them?

Please note that optihash miner only works with optipoolware based pools e.g. pool.bismuth.online

optihash does not work with acc-pool - this pool has it's own miner.

The pool probably hasn't found a block. The number of miners is very low compared to acc-pool

The pool finds around 5 blocks per day and minimum payout is 0.1 BIS. If you have enough shares and wait until after a block is found you will be paid.

The web interface is still under developement to display more individual miner information.

If you delete your files - please backup your wallet keys first

wallet keys are: privkey.der and pubkey.der files in your bismuth installation folder. If you have encrypted your wallet you will need the privkey_encrypted.der and pubkey.der files

The miner within the wallet package is functional but more for reference only. There are two pools available for those who wish to mine, each with custom mining software.

Mining is currently CPU only

I found an old wallet with some navajo coins in - can these still be changed over to the latest blockchain?

For the main node / wallet the number of threads are controlled (and always have been) in the config.txt file (thread_limit=)
For the default miner the number of threads is also controlled in config.txt file (mining_threads=)
For the optihash miner the number of threads in controlled in miner.txt (mining_threads=)

I don't know how threads are controlled in the closed source acc-pool miner (I assume command line)
