My next question is what if you make the financial privacy of public servants 0. If you feel you have a sense of duty enough to be a public servant then wouldn't you be willing to still serve despite this

Maybe not? Especially depending on what that means. Every time I buy a coffee I have to report it? Definitely don't want to do it. Think of how many more fat Chris Christie jokes there would be if you got to see his meal by meal break down. It would also mean I could know where he was, track him and kill him if I wanted to and had the resources.

I am 100% sure that they
are suppressing all technologies that they cant make profit from.
Take IT for example there are only gradually improvements there isnt any big innovation like in 100 years ago.

I hear this thing called the internet required a lot of work. There's tons of innovation in IT, the problem is most companies don't find it super cost effective to buy thus lots of companies don't do it. Also legacy systems are really hard to get rid of.

Furthermore, who is they?

Do you really want to leave sizable capital in those exchanges for a long time?

It's the politics/society forum?

I realize I don't come on here much, but why is this not acceptable here?

So if I own all the bitcoins, wouldn't they have no value?

It gets volume back, brings their name to all the new people who haven't heard about bitcoin etc.

Look guys 90% of the volume is Mt. Gox. Guess I know where I'm going to trade.

Also it's a good way to help equalize prices with the other sites.

Re: NSA Spied On Porn Habits As Part Of Plan To Discredit 'Radicalizers'

1) Obviously the people they were spying on are not open about it. It might not eliminate dissent but it sure can limit it.

2) If the NSA can just get you to willingly post all your information in public out of fear of blackmail by the government I'm pretty sure they just won. Their goal is systems intelligence.

3) If I'm like oh look Mr. Jones, your file says you watch x, y, and z porn. I'm going to for sure start wondering what else they know.

4) My friends knowing and the public knowing are very different.

Not as bullish as most people here, but a deflating currency v an inflating currency by design. Unless one ceases to exist, sure I imagine that will happen.

1) Giving long rants to Mt. Gox's support staff probably doesn't help in any way.

2) You are completely talking through them.

3) What is your native language?

4) They're trying to help you, why are you being an ass to them when they try?

5) You keep making new tickets? How will that help?

There's no good reason to mine. It would be better to put the money in bitcoins and hope they inflate or in a bigger mining company.
Why?

1) The difficulty will get harder, so even if there is profit to be made now there won't be the time it happens.

2) Your marginal costs are higher than the big players.

3) Maintenance issues.

4) Delivery date issues. Setup issues. All kinds of issues.

I know people don't like it when I say it, but it's like mining gold. At one point it could be profitable to do yourself, but now you need specialized equipment. Maybe you get lucky, but it's not really worth the required effort.

If there was good money to be made by the miners, people would buy them and use. This would raise the difficulty usually above the point of profitability.
