Re: Would you sell BTC for real estate ?

I will keep this short and simple.

So I have got this really good opportunity to buy a plot in my hometown. The value for it is bound to increase in near future as per the locality and developments around it.
To buy it I would have to sell my BTC (not all but most of it). The question here is, would you sell your BTC given you were in such a situation ?

If not, why? (something other than speculation)
Depending on the situation and scenario i would have taken the decision. According to me one should invest in real estate one time atleast apart from there home. But technically if we consider average rate of return in past decade of real estate in india, it was 11.6% per year and that of bitcoin it was whoping 230% but the risk is higher and volatility is higher and it is less secure than real estate.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/btc-was-best-performing-asset-of-past-decade-by-900
One more point that i would like to suggest is in real estate apart from rate of return we can also consider it for passive income such as
1) Rent
2) Secured loan
Both the things help to a great extent for future.
So on conclusion i would say if i was in your position and if it was my first investment in real estate than i would have opt for investing in real estate over BTC.(only one time for secure income)

Every CEO says this. This isn't anything new. Moreover trust me They won't get permission until a full fledged crypto act comes into place by parliament. Will you give your money in such a bank when the bank isn't even governed by any legal framework? They surely can make a huge impact as a wallet but I will be too surprised if they get a banking license you need a loan book worth rupees tens of thousands of crores to get a banking license.
[/quote]

I agree with you that there are lots and lots of norms and legal activities that one has to fulfill with RBI to established any sort of financial institute in India. It will be a foolishness to invest your money in such talks and i already vouched for it in my previous post. But My only point was that crypto being the future,we need to encourage or motivate people who are trying to revive this industry. In my perspective this might not be the best of ideas legally now but can have slight chance. For me I'd rather prefer saying it as slim chance than poor possibility as it spread positive word of mouth.

YES I have also heard about this back in December when news just Popped on my feed that fintech company called cashaa has raised 5 million dollar from Dubai based company Olex to start Crypto banking services. See seriously i think with ever growing fintech sector of india this can be the future of crypto in India. But concern of risk is always there in sort of services and irony is one of it's branch or office in east delhi has already been hacked once and many users had lost there money.
sources:- https://help.cashaa.com/knowledgebase/cashaa-india-otc-hack-update-follow-up/
To be very honest legally speaking I would recommend you all to stay away from this until it gets an RBI NOC to operate
Soo I agree with this that we need to be really carefull while investing in such things.
but again if this turned out well and i have read that CEO of the company is in talk with RBI authority to seek legal permissions for banking than this can be revolutionary.

As far as I am understanding you want Fiat as a loan against crypto as security.and if that is Soo tha you must read this article which will resolve all your doubts to certain extent.

With the old history of president Trump,he can do anything without any reason and that to with a tweet, doesn't even feel to have sort official conference. But I don't think in current situation banning Bitcoin is any sort priority to Trump. This can avoided or ignored, though Trump doesn't like Bitcoin.

I think right now every market runs according to US market. One reason is it is the largest market financially with companies registered globally and people invest in them from all around the world.Secondly US has the largest number of crypto traders and if there financial condition is not good than they will withdraw or sell their investment.

Re: Buying the dips: do you have a specific criteria?
by
madhavsinghrajput
on 21/06/2020, 14:23:33 UTC
Apologies if this comes up a lot (as I'm sure it does) but when / how often do you feel is best to buy the dip?

I know its not an exact science but I've heard a few different preferences on this such as:

- When the price decreases x% on the weekly/monthly candle
- When the price moves below the weekly/monthly negative average
- Only a couple of times a year after a major correction
- Just look at the chart and go on your experience / gut
I think every trader who doesn't believe in analysis think it's an opportunity to buy on dip and this can be best strategy for someone who is investing his surplus money and has a capacity of holding it for long term.someone who can have long stoploss.I was also the same in the beginning so is everyone but with experience they know that analysis is a must to prevent losses even though price seems very attractive and safe.

Cryptocurrency is not just about digital currency it has a very large concept. Digital currency and it's use are the final product that we enjoy but if someone has to learn about crypto than they have to learn about Blockchain first that p2p concept and so on than they will know what is crypto currency and how it is built and it's purpose.

I am really thinking about investing over $15000 of my savings into Bitcoin. Would this be wise? Is BTC safe and stable at this point and this time?
Firstly you Should not invest such big part of your savings in a market that is so volatile. There is no market that is 100% safe in today’s time.If you ask me than I would suggest to invest slowly and less amount at one time.Investing saving in this market is like risking hard work of your life and one should do that with proper planning.

We can say that the popularity of bitcoin has increased in last few years.People started to know about bitcoin and they also speak about it.But to say that bitcoin is more popular than bank is not right.Bitcoin has started to grow but banks are the premier financial institution.Firstly comparing bitcoin and banks is not possible as both are different but if we compare bitcoin with other Fiat than also bitcoin is behind.

The decision of legalising bitcoin in India was revolutionary and it has been accepted well by the Trader’s in India.Int he month of March of this year there is been the highest growth in the trading of bitcoin even there was good growth in the price of bitcoin. People now trust crypto trading and this clear in market.I think it will grow more once all this pandemic situation is over.

Re: Humility helps your trading capabilities
by
madhavsinghrajput
on 11/06/2020, 06:02:54 UTC
I don't know about humility helps or not but one needs to be 100% honest to himself and towards his instincts.Trusting your instincts and your research and accepting the result is very important.Because if the result is in your favor it builds your confidence and if not than it builds your experience.Patience is also an important key in trading. This doesn't mean you don't have to do any research or study anything. All those are primary steps which everyone has to follow on that basis instincts are developed and decision are made.
