This is how I see blackarrow's trust:

Trust: -1814: -6 / +1(1)

Never seen such a high negative trust (1814!).

I got my new hashboard today. Thanks to bobsag3 from Minersource!

Now my X1 is running at nearly 100 GH/s with 1000 Hz:

Although I never purchased anything from MinerSource, bobsag3 sends me a new hashboard after he has read about my problems.

It's good to see that resellers like Bob and Stuart try to help as much as they can. And I wish to say a big thank you to them!

I wish I could sell my X1. But it hashes only at 60% of it's specification and if I send my hashboard for RMA to BA I should pay the shipping costs. So I have the choice to run it at 60 GH/s although I purchased a 100 GH/s miner or to throw away even more money to get a miner running as specified, maybe...

I think it's you who should check your facts.  I have installed antMiner_S320140826.bin (latest firmware on the Bitmain S3 support page) and am pretty sure that it does include 100M and 500M because I am currently using 243.75M.  If you're still not convinced, then that's your problem; sorry for trying to help out.  This was posted on the prior page, just before your post:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=671189.msg8882222#msg8882222

Just for shits n giggles becaise it proves ME right about 243.75, so whos checking whos facts now ?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=699064.msg8370071#msg8370071

(Here are highlighted in red the lines with new frequency not included in the stock firmware.)

MBW, you are thinking of the next-to-latest firmware.  The last one before the S3+ firmware does not have the 243.75 setting, but the one for the S3+ (and S3 works fine with, too) DOES have 243.75.  I have one S3 with each.

I can confirm this. I never added new frequencies to the web interface and I have the 243.75 setting, version S320140826.

Ok, so since I formatted my hdd in my laptop like two weeks ago. I lost some of my favorite links.

Can someone post me a ink on the new firmware I have with the stuff to edit so I can get 243.75 added back in. I think it was removed when this (the S3) got reset.

Ty.
Just so this doesn't get lost or forgotten ;-)

Here's the link to Bitmain's firmware site for S3: https://bitmaintech.com/support.htm?pid=007201407180243004432lBQW28O0633

After assembling a replacement fan I got today from BA I got my X1 running. But it only hashes at ~65 GH/s and 700 Hz.

If you mean the G-Blade, yes I'm running one with cpuminer. No problems so far.

$2.18 per week

 Shocked

That is like... not even enough for a pack of cigarettes? Wtf is going on?
I though mining would make you rich?

It would not have made me rich, but if BA had delivered back in February I could have made more than 600$ (~1.3BTC) (w/o electricity costs) at current prices.

I received my X-1 today. And now the fan doesn't spin up.  Angry

After several months of waiting the only thing I can do with it is playing some Android games.  Undecided

And I thought it can't get worse...

I saw on their forum that sometimes the fan connectors are installed backward.  try flipping it.

Tried it already. But it didn't work. The fan is definitely broken. I connected a CPU fan to the connector on the X-1 and it spinned up. Then I connected the X-1 fan (some Cooler Master 200mm fan) to a motherboard as chassis fan and nothing happened.

You should complain! The unit is obviously faulty!

Let us know how that RMA goes.

This time they're really quick. Not even 12 hours after opening the ticket I got a tracking number for a replacement fan.

WoW, totally unexpected.
How is it with that X1, how many procent of you inital investment do you think you can get back?

I think the only way I will get anything back is by selling it on ebay. Even then it will be a loss. As energy costs are quite high here in Germany it will produce even more losses when switching it on.

Did you try to downclock it? It can work at 0.5w GH. at 40 GH/S total Consumption about 25w, if you remove fan and LCD as well place smaller fan like 20 x 20 mm it will be even less. Best i got was 19 W per 40 GH, and it worked without fan. Just don't forget that you can ruin PSU without any cooling applied.

I couldn't make any tests because of the broken fan. I'm waiting till I get the replacement one. But I had planned to undervolt and downclock. I have read the voltage adjustment thread on ecointalk.

We feel like you've effectively stolen our money under a false pretenses and false promises. You cannot be surprised we're all pissed off

As we have announced previously, we are testing the power supplies and waiting for CE certification team to get back to us. Until then, we cannot deliver X3s, no matter how much you flood this thread. Note that we will continue manufacturing X3s and as soon the PSU is ready we'll deliver everything that was manufactured.

We have also started working with a better factory that is able to manufacture everything very fast.

What about the X-1 then? If you can't assemble X-3s currently you should have time to clear your backlog of X-1s. According to your own timeline I should have gotten my order 6 weeks ago at latest! 3 weeks ago I've been told by Sylvia my order will be dispatched within "the next few days".
Although the miner is now absolutely worthless because it will cost more to switch it on than it will ever earn it would be nice to even get something for my money I gave you.

I also noticed  the load average is way lower on the CPU now that it was.  was always above 2 before.  now hovers around 1.2.  any additional benefit to these devices to run with lower/higher loads?
That's likely the advantage of the newer version. In principle it will lead to less lag time in keeping the device busy and less time to process and send shares. However cgminer is so heavily multithreaded that it probably won't matter since the latency critical parts of the cgminer code are already prioritised.
Still early days since I updated my S3 with the latest cgminer (3 hrs+) but I have noticed an improvement in the pool-side reported hashrate AND I suspect a reduced DiffR. This is on top of a faster UI (which I attribute to the lower load average).

Just a question, would this cgminer run on an S1 (like to earlier Kano cgminer)?

No, it doesn't work on S1. I tried it and it's not hashing.
