Re: Is the price of ethereum dependent on bitcoin?
by

on 15/08/2018, 02:47:17 UTC
Most people have the mindset that the price of ethereum rises with bitcoin and vice versa. How true is this?

What I believe now is that the mindset can influence prices. Maybe each percentage will be different, but I think it's not just Ethereum, but almost all famous altcoins will have the same reference, the Bitcoin situation.

Re: Best competitors to Ethereum?

Which are the best competitors to Ethereum, and why do you think so?

(I know on top of my head that Cardano and IOTA try to challenge Ethereum,
although they still haven't proved much from my understanding?)

I think the best rival is EOS, if EOS really can do what is advertised, then EOS will exceed ETH in any case.
Now, NEO, QTUM also looks like a strong competitor for ETH, but the closest to ETH is EOS. There may be other views.

Re: Are ICOs gonna end someday ?
by

I have one question that really bug me sometimes, Are ICOs going to end or new ideas and projects will emerge along with ICOs. Many of us actually rely on bounty to earn other than investing. As long as there is ICO I believe there will be bounty. It will be a sad day for us if ICOs are declared officially dead.

The ICO will not die, only in the future the number will continue to decline, this is because many ICOs cannot develop. In the future, everyone is smarter in choosing investments and in the future the ICO will compete to be the best. In cruel competition only the best ICO will win.

Re: Ethereum vs Bitcoin as goal of investments

Many people out there don´t believe that Ethereum can be a long term hodling, they simply use it participate in ICOs, sell and buy bitcoin again with the profit. Do you think that may change this year and ethereum can be seen as the choice to hodl?

People don't realize the true potential of ethereum, people just want to go through ethereum to participate in the ICO and get profit.
However, ether changed blockchain development, so smart contracts made countries begin to value blockchain.
This is the advantage of ethereum that is not owned by bitcoin.

Re: Litecoin's future

Litecoin was regarded as silver to Bitcoin. However, its performance is much worse than Bitcoin.

What's your view on Litecoin's future? Will it catch up or continue to underperform?

Yes, I think litecoin continues, and is growing. But, I really don't like this coin, litecoin market capitalization is also not that big.
So I don't think that will grow much in the future. This is only my prediction, everyone can argue.

What have you been using your ETH for?

For trading
To buy ICO
For long term investment
Other - explain

I bought Ether to sell it in the future, and got a good profit. I am sure that next year prices for Ether will grow several fold, and I will be able to sell my coins profitably. Realistically, the business we are looking for is profit, not another.

Re: Does crypto offer riches overnight?
by
makawa
on 08/08/2018, 04:43:43 UTC
Crypto is one of the avenues of getting rich yet it should be understood that it does not happen overnight. Getting rich in crypto requires a lot of dedication, hard work and patience. People do not see the essence of crypto investment because they want to get rich quickly, hence, hurriedly invest in projects that follow the pump and dump trend.
Remember, one key to success is patience.

All that can happen, in a matter of minutes you can become rich by investing crypto, you too can be poor in an instant.
All need the right analysis to be able to invest with good results. I think, ICO is a fast way to get big profits in a short time.

No, I don't think that the ICO is dead, but maybe the ICO will be renewed, authenticated, and managed strictly, to guarantee all the risks involved.
We know that ICOs help a lot in developing altcoin projects, but are more misused. That is a problem that has no bright spot.

Re: This market is unhealthy? Maybe Not!
by
makawa
on 07/08/2018, 07:04:17 UTC
You can say what you like but markets go down when there is no confidence!
If it crashes big time the media will make cryptos look worse than they already have!

But

Things are changing and I believe the Bulls will take Bitcoin to 7K plus and restore confidence!

Bitcoin Forever!

The market instability makes the investment healthier. This is a market cycle, like bitcoin, it is not healthy if due to manipulation, and all we have to know and understand is that sometimes the fall of prices is deliberate to make the market panic and there will be a divergence.

Ripple has the opportunity to do something significant and special but they need time for it.
Where the prize they promised for this month was quite large and yet why did many market participants experience losses, very sad.

Re: Can I hold my altcoin for years in my wallet?
by
makawa
on 03/08/2018, 01:24:50 UTC
•What if I dont have any money ? And I decided to hold my altcoin at my wallet.
•Will the value remain?

For example

I got a Klarity token and I got no gas so I will leave it there for a year or two.

•Any chances of value getting higher? Or it will die to years later?

I do not know about tokens, but if you believe about that and believe that tokens will develop and bring profit, then you must accept if something unexpected happens. But whatever it is, everything depends on you personally.

All Altcoins dump again. What is the reason? What happen crypto market in this time? What we need to do for this?Any suggestions...

If you already have a crypto, then you really do not need to do anything now.
You just have to survive and wait for the market to recover.
After that you will feel and get used to, instability is a must in business.

Re: Help me choose an ICO please!

I have recently been going around and looking for some ICOs to invest in. I found those three which caught my attention. - AgroTechFarm ; Giftz ; Cointed.
 Huh
Ill be really thankful for any help!  Smiley Grin

Choose ICO that has potential, how? Most successful ICO investors do not rely on the advice of people or the media, they do a lot of research on their own, looking for the right one for the current market situation. Finding most of the many potential ICOs can make us succeed in the future.

Re: Is this the new strategy?
by
makawa
on 01/08/2018, 03:07:15 UTC
Just recently i noticed a common trend with almost all ICOs.

There have been lots of complains that bounty hunters dump their tokens immediately after receiving them. Although, it is not true for all bounty hunters. Some still hold theirs.

Investors now get their tokens before bounty hunters. They are also allowed to start trading before bounty hunters get their rewards.
I believe this will prevent the investors from complaining and blaming the dump in price on bounty hunters.

I do not know what the hunters think and what they imagine, I do not understand.
Surely we will not follow in their footsteps, because it's bad.
Things like this can hurt us all, it's hard to do bounty when the price goes down.

Re: Tactics When Market is Falling
by

on 31/07/2018, 02:52:39 UTC
Hi all,
I am a relative newbie but have remained pretty calm during the difficult last week or so. The markets are falling significantly again, is this still relatively normal and is the best advice just to HODL? Moving forward I think I will set stop losses on all holdings to protect my capital against falls like this.
Thanks

Right now the situation is falling and will not be as it once was. I advise you to make layered plans, to avoid losses.
Buy cheap coins of quality, then sell when the price is attractive. Because holding the coins for too long is already very risky at this time.

Re: Do you still support Ethereum?
by

on 31/07/2018, 02:51:03 UTC
I can't name any other coin/token, which failed more times than ETH. It's not about loving or hating it, it's all about people losing money, because of situations which can be avoided. I would care less if these ETH based projects were not asking money from the masses, but that's not the case. And believe me when I'm saying that Ethereum has some powerful lobbyists. Otherwise its price would be probably 1/5 from the current one.

Didn't we had enough of this?

Yes, obviously, I always support ether despite the latest rumors about its vulnerability to hacking issues, and I just understand it.
However, I really hope they can make it safer so that many people can have peace of mind by having ether.

Re: Token goes down. Wait or sell?
by
makawa
on 30/07/2018, 04:34:55 UTC
Hello everyone!

We all know that the situation with market is not that good as we want it to be. Thus it affects a lot of ICO projects. On the one hand people don't invest in coin so much money as they did last year. On the other bounty hunters sell tokens fast and the price goes very low. That is why some projects prefer list their token on Idex first. They want to see how a coin plays on market.

And what investors should do in such situation? Sell all they have for small money or wait until a token will go up?

I'm asking as a person working in such project. After ICO token price went down (KCY, I'm sure you heard of it). And It is interesting to know investor's opinion about such situation.

What is your idea?

I think you should wait for the price to go up, so you can benefit even a little. Let's examine the market situation now together, Patience is the key to success in the project. Better to buy at a low price and wait until the price goes up.

Re: except for bitcoin, what is your prefer?

on 30/07/2018, 04:33:24 UTC
As we all know, bitcoin is the most famous in digital virtual currency.
with the effect of national policy, bitcoin is hurt.
Change the angle,if the bitcoin is banned, who can replace, even do better than it?
Do you have the suitable choice in your heart?
Just tell us!

I do not think that bitcoin will be completely banned forever, this is only temporary. For me, ether is the 2nd rank of all the cryptocurrencies that exist today, this coin may be a temporary substitute that will lead the altcoin in the crypto market. Bitcoin will continue to dominate and lead in the cryptocurrency market, this is almost difficult to change.

If Bitcoin is king of cryprocurrency, then Ethereum is the king of all ICOs ,do you agree?  Stella, neo and no other blockchain has hosted ICO than Ethereum.

I disagree with this, because bitcoin is still the king of the market today. That is why many investors trust bitcoin in investing.
If it continues, bitcoin will probably reach its highest peak back this year, but let's wait and see what will happen in the future.

Re: Why aren't cryptocurrencies successful as a medium of payment
by
makawa
on 27/07/2018, 09:48:20 UTC
The global economy is nearly 80 trillion USD per year.  Payments using any type of cryptocurrency as a medium of payment is a tiny fraction of this total.

What are some of the reasons preventing cryptocurrency from being more successful as a medium of payment?

At this time crypto has not become fiat. Later, if all of my time comes and we can all send crypto to someone else in the world, or in the city, and they can accept it and easily turn it into a fiat, or vice versa, crypto will just be a long story and die.
