so i know this is a dead pool, but i do not know where to go to point my rig to.  I had 5 radeon r9's running x11 and would like to still run on something, any suggestions?

Primer10

my cgwatcher reports an average between 12-12.9M/hs steady all day long, but my graphs and current stats  on wafflepool show peaks clear up to 18Mh/s and valleys down to 8Mh/s,  i have noticed that the higher the hash rate shown on wafflepool the higher my reject rate is.

utah,

i have gotten 5 cards running stead on the 14.6rc2, running win 8.1/sgminer x11 moded/gigabyte r9 270x 4gb versions, things are normal and steady with 5 cards but throw the 6th card in the mix and all goes to crap lol.

each card hashes x11 at 2.6M/h

my power consumption went from 1100 watts on scrypt to 500 watts on x11, and my payouts are just about the same(possibly less only due to the hit scrypt has taken lately)

So i hooked up 5&6 and it crashes, pull the sixth card and system runs fine. Swaped the cards and tried again and still crashes the system so its either a video card driver or an issue with pci slot #6. Remove 6th cars and system works.  I am going to try a powered riser on slot #6 and see if it helps(though it was fine on scrypt but maybe it has something to do with the way the power is handled on x11).  For now my 4gb r9 270x gigabyte cards are running 12.5Mh/s avg on 5 cards, and i am pulling 650 watts compared to 1100 watts

One thing i have noticed is the stats page for my miner varies Mh/s drastically, while my miner never shows a drop less than from 2.8 to 2.5 per card, the page will show from like 8 to 15, is that odd for x11?

Successfully got my x11 going with win 8.1 sph-sgminer x11/13 mod, only able to use 4 cards right now, but hashing at 10Mh/s, waffle pool shows about 8-9 average.  i have been running for just shy of 24hrs and am wondering what my average return should be as i have only accumulated .002 in the last 19hrs or so.

Is this to be expected? when on normal scrypt my average daily payout was about .005 for a 24hr time period.

@poolwaffle,

i was not saying there is a problem, i was only commenting that my hash rate changes via the website but not on cgminer similar to what rocks was saying.  that depending upon the coin my reported hash rate on the website shows different than the reported hashrate on cgminer.  I did not know about the WU difference.
That is the case with mining period - the pool can never know your exact hashrate, it can only approximate it based on the rate your miner is submitting shares.  Small fluctuations like you are seeing will always occur, to everyone.  The gridseed issue is a totally separate problem, where significant portions of hashrate appear to be 'lost'.

Edit: I also just realized our "vs LTC" includes the 2% fee we charge.  It is based on what is actually earned by user accounts (and thus affected by our fee).  I don't know which I feel is better for that column, and I'd like some input if possible.  Essentially if we had a perfect (see conditions above) of mining only LTC, we would show 98% of LTC in that column (100% - 2% fee).  Showing it with the fee included is more accurate, where "this is what you actually get", then again, if people are factoring the 2% into the calculation afterwards (since it isn't mentioned), it looks worse than it actually is.

Input?
I would suggest adding a comment by the table saying something like, "% vs LTC is calculated by comparison to a PPS pool with 2% fee."

phzi, thanks for that info.

regarding the hashrate drop on gridseeds

I do not have gridseeds, only 6 r9 270x cards and cgminer reports a constant 500-505 on all 6, this should come out to 3000-3030 hashrate, on wafflepool website my 15 minute hashrate shows 2.84-3.30MH/s, while my cgminer still shows 3.0MH/s

So i dont think it is a gridseed specific problem

What does you WU show. 3M Hashrate with a WU of 2.8M is 2.8M to the pool not 3M. The pool only counts the accepted work you submit.

WU= Work Utility correct?

my cgremote shows 455-462 on each card, thus about 2.7.

@Trestle, thanks for the explanation

thnx Smiley  found the line to add to config  >>    "no-client-reconnect" : true,

but is that all i need to do? there was a lot of other code- not in the config file- listed on the information pages for the patch.  Do i need to do something elsewhere than the config file also?

Did you download kalroths edition?  That no client wont work on normal cgminer from what i understand

Question on hashing power...

My wafflepool stat shows 2.5-2.68Mh/s while my cgminer shows 505khs, at 6 cards it should be 3.0+.

I have noticed it seems to drop depending upon the coin, is this normal, my miner has the patched kalroth with the noclient reconnect.

Should i expect to see hash power drop depending upon the coins?

See i would think that if i am mining with a specific pool such as wafflepool, i would want my fellow miners to help me with my config files after all as RedGreen would say "were all in this boat together"  so it makes sense to me that this particular page is where i would go for support help, after all i would think, all other miners at wafflepool would want all others running as efficiently as possible thus maximizing profits.

You would think so, yet you would be wrong. People follow this forum to read about wafflepool-specific things that may affect their mining, going off-topic (even if it is still mining related) adds a lot of noise and effort * for everybody else * to keep up with what's going on with the pool.

So in a way, going off-topic (and keeping at it) leaves a rather selfish impression about yourself.

The comparison to entering a chemistry class and expect everyone to listen to your Q's about Med. lit. and like it, is pretty accurate.

Just take the hint and head to the right forum, please.

and yet here you are adding to the off topic discussion as has been explained to the the forum here that this is an off topic discussion...part of the problem not the solution

Also there are no forum rules posted on page 1 regarding wafflepool specific comments only.

I still maintain that improving my miner improves the overall pools capability. thus makes it a waffle pool specific question

oh one more thing,

as was stated about 2 pages back....just hit ignore under the name if you dont like it.

Helping newbies is one thing... helping newbies in the proper forum thread is another.

You're putting up general miner settings and asking advice... you can open another thread for that in the Hardware or the Altcoin subforums.  You'll get plenty of helpful advice that way.

Putting it in here on a specific pool's support thread is typically called "hijacking" a thread and is usually frowned upon.  You'll get less help and some angry people that way.

It's like going to a random classroom at a University and loudly yelling in the middle of a Chemistry Class for some help with your Medieval Literature homework.  There's a time and a place for everything.

See i would think that if i am mining with a specific pool such as wafflepool, i would want my fellow miners to help me with my config files after all as RedGreen would say "were all in this boat together"  so it makes sense to me that this particular page is where i would go for support help, after all i would think all other miners at wafflepool would want all others running as efficiently as possible thus maximizing profits.

Not pool specific really in these cases...

If it was "oh this intensity works better in this pool than another pool" then yes, it would be apropos.  But having general cgminer fork configuration settings is a bit more general and not necessarily appropriate for a thread such as this.  Either way, it's a subtle break of thread etiquette that will (and has) resulted in some of the more experienced forum people to "not be friendly".  Making your own thread instead of using someone else's accomplishes the same thing without making people angry for violating ettiquette.

So please take my comments as just some friendly advice on how to get better answers to your questions.

And everyone is different - I only read the few threads in my watchlist, and rarely look for new threads, so if someone needs help mining on a pool I'm on, I don't mind answering in-thread.  Granted, I really wish people would like to learn the how's and why's of configuring a miner, but sometimes I'm in a nice mood Smiley

my original post on here was asking if there were some deeper explanations of the different settings in the config file, and utahjohn and thirtybird(i believe) pointed me in the right direction. not taking offense to anyone and not trying to sound like a D, just was appreciative of utahjohn pointing me in the correct direction, i will pm him my config and maybe something will work for him.

Again thanks for the help, i am looking forward to continuously mining

did you delete the old *.bin files ... opencl may need to recompile them ... stop cgminer and del them and restart, it will recompile them automatically based on your config file.

EDIT: post portion of cgminer.conf following the Pools [ ] section ... no need to know your pools or worker info LOL

found this on the net for an r9 270x so copied it

"no-submit-stale" : true,
"intensity" : "20",
"vectors" : "1",
"worksize" : "256",
"kernel" : "scrypt",
"auto-fan" : true,
"temp-cutoff" : "85",

"temp-target" : "70",

"sharethreads" : "32",
"lookup-gap" : "2",
"gpu-powertune" : "00",

with these settings I am pulling in 486 per card n average, gpu4 is a little low at 473

I want to force the fans to run pretty high not auto tune lie this one is but its getting me hash's now

hi all,

total noob here, been mining on wafflepool for the past two weeks, with decent results but have some questions regarding the stalerate, since i am new to this i have not found a guide that explains all the different things in cgminer i.e. thread concurrency and intensity and all that.  I copied my build from a youtube video i am running 6 r9 270x's with a h81btc motherboard etc...  i have been successfully mining for the past two weeks using an intensity level of 20 and a thread concurrency of 24000 this seemed to have worked great for the first week and a half until the stratum change happened, now i have a stalerate of
15m Hashrate   15m Stalerate
2.21 MH/s              2.74%

is this a good number, the stale rate i see jumping all over clear up to 7%

i tried dropping the intensity level down to 17 and my hash rate stayed the same but my "Bitcoins earned (not yet sent): 0.00370838", stopped increasing as fast as it does with the 20.

the last two days i have gone from earning an average of 0.015 to less than 0.010, my most recent payout as you can see is .0079

2014-03-19 18:28:28   0.01780143

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

2.21 sounds a bit low; I've got 5 270s (one of which is a 270x) and they run between 2.7 and 3.2 Mhs depending on how generous the hashing gods are feeling.

Definitely switch to Kalroth's cgminer. I did and using xintensity (actually raw intensity) I was able to tune those cards to give me a solid 95 - 110% WUE. A good thread on these cards with xintensity is https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=459419.0

downloaded kalroths cgminer, set it up let it auto run for a few minutes the wrote the config file.  when editing the config file it showed something other than scrypt in the kernel, so I switched it to scrypt. when doing this I get an error "concurrent_threads" is undefinded.  const uit x=get_global_id(0)%concurrent_threads;  failed to init gpu thread 0 disabling device 0 press enter to continue

i will try kalroth's cgminer out.  originally when i set this up two weeks ago i was pulling in 2.7Mhs easilly with spikes up to 4.
