Re: bitcoin-qt.exe crashing on Windows 7

Ok, so I'm having a new problem now.

It ran fine for a few hours and redownloaded the blockchain.  Now when I try to run it, I get a C++ runtime error after a few seconds.

It says:

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

And here's the log:

Thanks, that worked!

After deleting the contents of the folder save wallet.dat, I ran it and it crashed once, then ran it again and it worked fine.  Thanks for the help!

To be perfectly honest, I would have absolutely no idea how to go about doing that.  Suggestions?

So I installed the newest version of the Bitcoin client and every time I try to run it, it crashes during the "Rescanning" phase of the startup process.  Any help with this?

Also, sorry if there's already a thread about this; I looked around for a bit and couldn't find anything.  Again, thanks for any help  Grin

Also, I just want to note that the sound quality on these is surprisingly high, very nice headphones for the price.

What is this exactly? There's no explanation on the site of what it is or how it works.

I second the question about the debit card.  Something like that would really interest me.

0.01 BTC fee on 0.01 BTC transaction?
by

So I know there have been plenty of threads about this subject before, but I didn't ever read posts about this small of a transaction requiring a "tax".

I went to make a 0.01 BTC donation to an app developer, when the Bitcoin client told me that the transaction was "too big" and required a 0.01 BTC fee to make it work.  Is this correct?  Why am I being charged 100% of my transaction as a fee?  Could somebody help me out please?

maltaethiron, well I'm glad to see the apk runs on 2.1 now.  I'm not quite sure why you would be receiving this error.  Basically, this error you are getting throws up several red flags.  When you are on your desktop, while connected to the same network at the same location, are you able to visit the MtGox.com website?

Also, does the network in which you are connected perchance inject its own page when attempting to visit a HTTPS website? (Hotel network, Paid WiFi, Public WiFi)

This sounds like it could be a MITM attack, however.  I would definitely look into your network to make sure that there are no problems....

I'm using Sprint's 3G network for my internet.  I can definitely get to Mt. Gox on my own home WiFi, so I'll connect my phone to my WiFi and see if that works, then report back.

Are we sure?  I'm not seeing anything that looks like a massive selloff or anything..and a jump from 11.90 to 14.10 (which I noticed on my MtGox widget for Android) isn't anything to freak out about.  In fact, that would be the opposite of a sell off...oh well.

Nevermind, just saw the screens on another thread

Not sure if there's some reason that this thread fell way back, but I'd definitely be interested in something like this!  My interest in silver has been increasing recently and I'd love to have a few coins that looked like bitcoins!

Well hey, on the upside, now those customs officials are wondering about bitcoin, and probably reading up about it at home now!
