Re: Price manipulation and market frontrunning at mcxnow.com

mcxNOW Daily Data:

-mcxFEE : https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AioqMMSVIC5tdFplWndsdmZuaGxyN01xemxtNWYxVGc#gid=0
-Interest : https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AioqMMSVIC5tdFplWndsdmZuaGxyN01xemxtNWYxVGc#gid=1

Their core problem is the very tight 0.2% fee that is traditional in the Alt Space...
Even something as bizarre as the Chat PayBan brought in about 10 BTC on a couple of days...
More than all trading fees combined.

Is that a core problem? If mcxnow can expand the way it generates fees from more than trading it will be more successful than other pure exchanges. From the looks of this new site they already have the trading angle covered pretty well. Makes sense to me that they expand into other realms to increase the fees generated. Over time both the trading fees and non trading fees should increase and compliment each other.

Re: [NEWS] eMunie: Some general news and 100% Anonymity
by
manface

It is not PoW or the blockchain that I have the major issues with, though those are terribly inefficient. The main issue I have is with this notion that a pyramid distribution of currency where 50% or more is distributed to a few thousand people will succeed at doing anything but creating the next Wall Street or London. I do not see exchanging one boss for another with grandiose promises of "this time, it's different" as anything other than a way to relieve the ignorant of their money.

When currencies start appearing that break this trend, I believe you will see a strong run to the bottom for all of the currencies that require an influx of new suckers to maintain the charade of the sustainability of closed, pyramid money supplies. And somebody with a fat stack of bitcoins is probably going to speed the process along leaving thousands holding the bag.

You think you can change over a 100 years of brainwashing and programming with some software? No, that is not how it works and you must be incredibly ignorant to think it can.

Kids are instilled with this idea that fiat money "makes sense" when it doesn't. The first time you tell a kid about fiat money they don't know how it can be so, but a few years later it's accepted as reality. To change this reality is near impossible, like changing someone who is muslim to atheism. Such programming takes many years to change, it's very gradual.

What I do know is you etlase2 have been talking down others work for year(s) now and still haven't done anything about it. Why is this? Do something if you think others can do what you say is possible. Show us the (right) way.

Even though I don't think Ripple is any good technically I applaud them for trying something new and doing something. You never know with actually DOING things what it can inspire in others even if you doing something is a failure.

Same old story, 2 more weeks!  And if that information was remotely true, he would have been hinting at it publicly.

Oh and very very few if not none have received a USD withdraw in the past few weeks.

It would be unwise for magicaltux to make public statement about US government negotiations so he could be leaking the information to important customers?

I was reading the chat on https://mcxnow.com and saw realsolid talking about mtgox there. He claims that his talks with magicaltux indicate all SWIFT and IBAN transfers are blocked from mtgox. This includes all domestic USD withdrawals. The reason being that the US govt has put a block on their company doing any SWIFT/IBAN transfers that all banks are adhering to. He also said its going to clear up in a few week if talks with the US govt go well. Why hasnt this information been released by mtgox if its true?

Has anyone here got a USD withdrawal in the past few weeks?

Re: mcxnow down?

Just curious, since the release of this exchange, how many hours of downtime has there been?

From both DDoS attacks and system upgrades?  I ask because I'm always over there and the site is always  available, fast and responsive.  Your uptime has to be on the order of +99.9% of the time and that ain't bad.
First time I've ever seen it down was today.

Me too.

Have had zero problems with mcxNOW and routinely move 50BTC in or out to cash in on altcoin movements and arbitrage. Have had over 100btc in there for multiple days and never did it feel unsafe.

They could use some more features (2FA, stop loss) but trading, deposit, withdrawing, speed and security wise its probably the best I've used.

Re: Problem with Cryptsy
by
manface
on 24/07/2013, 14:17:27 UTC
There has been many issues with cryptsy which is why i dont use it anymore. I had a sell order less than a buy order that just stayed there, not being completed. What sort of crappy trading engine is this? Is Bigvern manually clicking OK to trades? haha. Now people say they are being able to withdraw coins twice and having negative balances. The whole thing is about to implode. Withdrawing coins twice is going to empty the exchange wallets and people are going to lose out. I don't think that's part of the DDoS but what do I know.

hahaha funny craptsy.com page.

Why does anyone still use that site? One day you are going to log in there and just find your coins completely gone. I tried trading on it once and I saw my sell order which was below the buy order just sit there and not get sold. I had to retry 5 times before it would sell. Then my BTC balance was something like 1.50000000124. Too many decimal points for bitcoin! Using floating point for an exchange is crap.

I withdrew all my coins immediately and never went back, its going to get hacked as Bigvern doesnt seem to know what it takes to run an exchange.

With all the alts you have to find the best exchange for alt in question. Cryptsy, Coin-e, mcxnow.com all have their best traded coins.

I didn't even know the site existed! Do you know you can advertise in mincoins too? You can't just launch a site and not advertise it.

That pretty much applies to all of crypto Wink

Yes but if you could give some idea about how long you will keep the site up it would be helpful for webmasters seeking search engine enhancement.

I've been sending emails for over a week trying to get 50BTC.com to pay me for a withdrawal.

When I first requested it, it said "error", but then it added this blank "in process" withdrawal. Why haven't they responded to my email and nothing has been done to correct it?

Interesting idea for advertisement service. How long will this site stay up, you say it is permanent but that is up to you to hold the site up isn't it?
