ASRock H81 Pro BTC doesn't have the 4G decoding option, you can skip it.
Start with 1950-2000 memory clock and 900-925 memory voltage, add gradually memclock and decrease voltage, checking memory errors through HWInfo64.

i'm wondering if sombody could help me out with my MSI rx 480 4gb gaming x hynix memory rig.
i'm only getting max. 21mh/s with a modded bios timing strap from 1500 to 2000, core clock gives me no difference, memclock 1900 gives me 19-20 mh/s and memclock to 2000 gives me 21.3 mh/s.
other timing straps gives me even more less..
at the wall i'm getting +- 140 watt each card.
since yesterday my computer even refuse to instal my cards. i already have multiple times deleted the drivers with ddu.
i'm using windows 10 and have try driver 16.9.2, 16.10.3 15.12, 18.2 all off the drivers only work with one card but when i plug them in all togheter they dont work, only the first time that i installed everything they all worked and where able to mine but only with 20.7 mh/s. my risers are all fine and already have try new risers and a new clean windows 10 also. but nothing works :s
when i plug everything in ,the fans are blowing normal but when i log in the drivers keep repeating to install my screen keeps flickering, like the cards are keep trying to install but it always fail.
hope sombody can give me some other suggestions that i can try.

1. You are risking to brick the GPU by flashing a downloaded BIOS image. Just move the 1500 or custom timing to 1750 to 2000 straps and overclock manually by MSI Afterburner or OverDriveNTool.i'm wondering if sombody could help me out with my MSI rx 480 4gb gaming x hynix memory rig.

2. How many GPUs do you have and what's your MOBO? If 4+ GPUs, have you enabled Above 4G Decoding/Mining Mode? Above 4G Decoding works only in UEFI environment<>Windows installation must be UEFI as well.
3. You were getting low hashrate because none of 15.x-16.x drivers have the DAG fix (you are attempting to mine ETH or ETC, performance of both affected by DAG size) and the DAG fix was not activated in 18.2. I'd go with AMD 17.12.1 driver, it seems stable and enable Compute Workload for all GPUs (AMD Preferences>Settings>General>Gaming>select Compute Workload).

The MOBO is an R2.0 pro btc asrock and i'm trying out 4 gpu 's
what would you mean with enable 4G decoding/mining mode?
when the windows is installed i'm already going to give it a try with the 17.12.1 driver, the timing straps should normaly be already set from 1500 to the 2000, going to try out the clock at 1150 cclock, 2100 mclock, 950 mvddc.

lol guys. GPU mining is never dead. "There is always a coin to mine". Anyways, yes optiminer is much faster now with v 1.6.0 for R9 models and 280x. I get 385-400 for 390, 220-230 for 380 and 300 for 280x. OF course your results will vary depending on what clocks you are running, etc. But so far it runs good. Which is why I can't wait to see what claymore has...maybe he delays the new version to be sure of beating those numbers, who knows lol.
Personally, I'm not sure optiminer's v1.6 can be beat, because I think it probably represents the best that can be achieved with current (I don't mean new) GPUs. So, while Claymore will likely match optiminer v1.6 in the near future, I'm not so sure he can surpass it.
I think there's room for more improvement on Hawaii, but for R9 and Rx cards (with 4 memory controllers) Optiminer is close to the limit.
419h/s even 424h/s is possible for r9 390x i think the new version from claymore can maybe hit these peaks with overclocks and a stable one from 410 - 415 h/s
Already in v11.1 two of my cards in de rig have going to this peaks when i was uploading a program on my pc the disk load on my pc was going to 100% in task manager and when i on that moment looked at the miner 2 card where rising to 419 h/s i need say there are more rejects at that moment. When the uploading was done and the disk load in task manager was back on 3% 5% again the cards where back on 380 h/s with less rejects. So i think it is possible to get them stable in a version with these statics and no rejects but like we all see it takes alot off time for a higher stable level

Is it also possible like maybe on suprnova pool that the difficulty is set to the difficulty off zcash currently 1100000? For the moment i'm on d=1800 +-30000 difficulty so if i set this to d=66600 the difficulty will be +- 1100000. And if i find a share in a couple off time with this set, it will be the package from all the shares that are need to get the block? When its not a stale or a rejected of course.. is this the way to get them?

Whats happening with my 290x?
I closed the miner after a 24hour stable mining on 360h/s with 4 - 290x cards for some clean up and update from my antivirus. I restarted v11 and back they are stable @ 360h/s but after 34 minutes one carde the gpu1 is rising to 413 h/s - 418 h/s for 20 minutes now stable.. and gpu0, gpu2 and gpu3 are still stable @ 360h/s and the full rig is on the same wattage as 24hours ago.. how is this possible the last 24hours this was not happening, in almost an hour i only have 4 rejected shares the same as before and settings are same as before 1500mem 1100core -a 0 -asm1 -i 8 full power.. claymore, is this normal? I like the extra hash speed for the same wattage as yesterday but i just dont understand it

It just stopped on 1h15 just on when devfee started its now after devfee back stable like my other 290x cards. I'm curious if this maybe hapen again

I don't understand how you get 360 sol/s with a 290x...are you sure you don't have a 390x
Hawaii 290x and 390x are pretty the same only the bios is different and the memory 290x 4096mb and 390x 8192mb and the fans are diffirent but it is possible to flash a 290x with a 390x bios, on overclock.net you can found a lot off modded 390x bios that are possible to flash in your 290x card if you keep enough space between the card for the heat you can hold them on 77C with 60%fan blow. But still the 418h/s i have never seen before , only it was for +- 40minutes long

NOTE: v9.3 is not performance release, in this version I improved compatibility/stability in GPU code and fixed Linux-related issues. You can use older versions if they are good and stable for you.
In theory, pools can balance servers load with this feature. Nicehash pool asked me about this feature so I added it. If a pool has several IPs and first IP fails, miner will try to connect to the second IP, etc.
I think it's possible to get better speed, but not too much.

I think it's possible to get better speed, but not too much.
Two of the rx 480 4gb mod overclock in my rigs have hit 275 h/s and 277 h/s so probably with some time and hard work claymore can get this speeds stable. But probably whats normal it will cost some time and hard work for a stable one. Btw: thanks for V9.3 !
Can someone tell me what the utility is to use for uninstalling AMD drivers? I know it was mentioned on the forum, but I'm having trouble finding the post. Thanks for any answers.
DDU display driver unistall on guru3d you can download it safe just make sure you unistall them in safe mode

Rx 480 4gb overclocked can do in v9.1 235h/s on 180watts wall, i have seen the 480 8 gb can do 245 h/s and i think they do this on the same watts or even a little bit less watts as the 4gb i'm not sure but 8gb can get a little bit more hashes/s as 4 gb. I think the biggest different is the price in my country the 4gb 50 till 80 $ less than 8gb
When i'm mining on flypool eu the 290x shows in my rigs 320h/s and about 1,5% rejects but also like the others on the forum i get less profit then i should need to have on day payouts. Now i was trying to go to dwarfpool eu but when the miner begins i get 70% reject and on supernova eu i see in the miner that i get 30% rejects

I have seen the results on the wikki but there is a r9 290x with the 390x bios mod is it worth the chance for further future? I think the 390x maybe have some more profit in the future but i'm not so sure between this two. I can buy for the moment for the same price 3x - 290x 4gb or 2x - 390x 8 gb? The 390 is also the same price for me as the 390x. Any suggestions? it is the intention to build up even further in the future. The wattage will be not such a problem after 8 months. I just will to be sure for the best choise for evolutions in the future for hashrates and share founds.

There is no fundamental difference between the 390x and 290x. The only difference is the 390X has higher stockk frequency, 1500 MHz instead of 1250.
