i (almost) trippled my hashing power on 6.feb.

due to our "pool luck" my earnings are BELOW the former average - so i have tripple the hashing power but not even the same earnings..

i lost almost an entire week of my new hardwars capabilities.

help me people, i really WANT to stay at sllush, but its getting harder every minute!

Is that not what's meant to happen, it gets harder as time moves on?

Will it eventually be the guys that can afford millions of dollars of kit that will be the sole miners?

I can't see how anyone will be able to house the needed hardware in their own homes in the near future, these cloud farms are taking over fast.

of course you're right, it is supposed to get harder. but less then one third of earnings in a span of one week is in no way acceptable.

Wow! My miner found a block. Number 285163. A first for me.

Mine found 2 a couple days ago throughout a single day and my rig is microscopic in comparison to what I see out there. Is that equivalent lightning striking twice?

yes very odd.. a friends 60gh/s rig found 2 blocks last week. essentially an impossible feat in comparison. but luck is luck, or someone is manipulating the data

I have to ask: do you get any kind of "Bonus" when your hardware finds a Block? Or the usual reward you would get for participating?

Also ich habs jetzt auch hinbekommen.

Für diejenigen die dasselbe Problem haben:

cgminer mit folgendem Befehl starten:

"./cgminer --set_default_to_c"

Trotzdem nochmal vielen Dank an Alle

Cheesy

almost every block confirmed.. never seen that before.

EDIT: And done! every single block confirmed, and we are heading the 15h right now. Who of you was the one talking about the 24h block? I'll go with "its all your fault!"  Grin

i just stumbled over something:

my miner appears as a "HEXa" in cgminer. as far as i kno it should appear as a HEXc. Is it possible that this is my Problem? How can i get cgminer to accept the device as a "HEXc"?

EDIT:

IT WORKS!

Sometimes its those little things.

IF you encounter the same problem:

start cgminer with

"./cgminer --set_default_to_c"

that did the trick for me Smiley

anything here helps?Huh??

also found this:

" if you have a linux host it will be best to just compile cgminer with the latest patch from Technobit"

I read that thread, along some others. and as i said, i ised the Technobit patches with cgminer (different versions, thats what i tried to show with "listing" in the starting post)

i tried different versions, howtos etc, none of them worked. as i said: IF i can make cgminer see the device, it doesnt mine Sad

thanks for the answer. i already did the first one, same result. the HEXMiner is Windows only, if neccessary, i will convert my mining laptop into a windows machine. this is a step i would like to take when everything else failed though Wink

the device gets recognized under several linux cgminer versions, but it just doesn't mine. is there maybe some special option i have to use?

Need help with Technobit Hex16A2
by

Good morning fellow miners,

i just received my Technobit miner yesterday, and i am struggling to get it to work.
my mining computer is an old laptop, stripped of everything unneccessary and with debian 7
the device in question is a Technobit HEX16A2. if cgminer recognizes it, it shows up as:
Manufacturer: 'TECHNOBIT HEX ASIC Miner.'
Product: 'HEX16C-Avalon2 ASIC Miner'
1 known USB device

after trying out different cgminer versions (including the technobit patches) i got different results:

cgminer 3.6.1 - device shows up as "HEXa", no hashing though - it will stay at 0.000 / 0.000h/s
cgminer 3.8.1 - Patch didnt work, patch process terminated with an error
cgminer 3.8.3 - device shows up as "HEXa", no hashing though - it will stay at 0.000 / 0.000h/s
cgminer 3.8.4 - device shows up as "HEXa", no hashing though - it will stay at 0.000 / 0.000h/s
cgminer 3.8.5- device shows up as "HEXa", no hashing though - it will stay at 0.000 / 0.000h/s
cgminer 3.11.0 - patch worked, drivers were included - device doesn't show up (also not showing up under "./cgminer -n")

I am pretty desperate right now.

any advice? It doesn't have to be cgminer, i take every working linux mining client. as long as.. well.. as long as it works..

EDIT: this is how cgminer looks:

thank you in advance

welche cgminer version?
welcher patch?

Guten Morgen,

cgminer version 3.11.0

das Patchfile heisst
b535bc08267aef90511afff23cb9ec48c4a6a704.patch

und im Header stehen diese Zeilen:
--- cg_o/cgminer.c   2014-01-27 09:53:42.383407539 +0200
+++ cgminer/cgminer.c   2014-01-27 10:01:53.930106142 +0200

HEXa 0: 1400 1200/1200mV | 0.000/ 0.000h/s | A:0 R:0 HW:0/0.00% WU: 0.0/m

Manufacturer: 'TECHNOBIT HEX ASIC Miner.'
Product: 'HEX16C-Avalon2 ASIC Miner'
1 known USB device

my hashrate went up too. i guess the pool got smaller, so your shares are "worth more". we had over 900 TH last week for a short amount of time, right now we are "down" at 882TH.

Erfahrungen miit Pool management und BFGMiner?
by
manubar82
on 04/02/2014, 18:16:54 UTC
Hallo zusammen!

1: Enabled  Strtm Quota 95 Pool 0: http://api.bitcoin.cz:8332  User:xxx
2: Enabled  Strtm Quota 5 Pool 1: http://dem.easy-mining.net:3333  User:xxx

Wenn ja was?
