Solo players always fail

This is not a very helpful hint, is it ? Or is it not, player ?

I tried solo cpu mining in June for 20 minutes with my laptop and found one block.
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/ufo/block.dws?1023601.htm

I understand that difficulty was 0.70 and it was easy back then.

Thanks for not helping Daimyo (social media, graphics for the client and official website).

Hi
Quick question:
Conf file (to add nodes) must have name ufo.conf or ufo-qt.conf? Wallet did not create any conf file, so i'm not sure. Added nodes but getting just 2 connections...
Can someone share a conf file that is working well?
Thanks in advance

Okay, nobody reads these days. This is directly from the OP. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=844754.0

The ufo.conf is now renamed to ufocoin.conf since 0.9.0

Here is an example ufocoin.conf file:

Code:
rpcuser=ufouser
rpcpassword=6bjlvC5KKSjVyig5
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
server=0
rpcport=9888
port=9887

You then copy/paste addnodes in the .conf from here: https://www.coinexchange.io/network/peers/UFO

Hi!

I am using nsgminer 0.9.3 and have ufocoin.conf file with latest peers and settings within the mining software folder.

I have a batch file with code:

nsgminer --neoscrypt -w 128 -I 18 -o http://127.0.0.1:9888 -u (username) -p (password) --no-getwork --no-stratum --verbose --text-only --coinbase-addr (local wallet address)

The connection is refused. I cannot solo mine. I am using AMD Radeon R9 200 Series.

I would probably need a hint to solo mine.

Thanks!

Is it still feasible to solo mine with wallet UFO Core version v0.10.0.0-beta (32-bit) ? I tried but did not work.

It' true. Ok but you're not the only one that mining ufo. The pool mining is appropriated for ufo, the best way.
Mining UFO it's not impossible.
You're welcome anyway here.

xonar

Pool mining is easy.
Anyone that needs advice on how to mine in a pool, I am happy to help.
If I find out how to gpu solo mine ufos, I will provide info.
Thanks for your info x0n4r!
Have a good day!

From your posts and google search, I found out that gpu solo mining is possible only by running a private pool.
Mining via the wallet utilizes the cpu to mine. It is not that easy as I thought it was to mine with the gpu solo.

ok

(windows)
. stop your nsgminer.
. start your wallet with your ufo.conf file in the location mentioned above, with the gen=1 parameter within.

verify please with your task manager if after few minutes your cpu start to increase.

if yes, you are solo mining.
no coin mined? low hardware for ufo solo mining.

low hardware for ufo solo mining?
start nining with a pool

: )

If I start my wallet with ufo.conf in place, then am I cpu mining or gpu mining?
I prefer gpu solo mining since cpu is not good enough for mining..

Mate, I can fire it up for pool mining anytime. And I have already. I can be the 10th on the contributor hashrates table of the hub.

Check it: https://ufocoin.miningpoolhub.com/index.php?page=statistics&action=pool

However I prefer solo for now, since the difficulty and value of UFO are still low.

Thanks for the link. It is a video for pool mining.

I am i interested in trying solo mining. Could you please help me on that one?

I will send the coins of the first block I find, 1250 UFOs to the person who will make solo mining work for me. Provide your UFO address.

On page 31 I have described the steps I followed but did not make the miner to solo mine. Roll Eyes

Hi! No I haven't seen it. I searched reddit and youtube but could not find it. Is it a video for solo mining or pool mining?

If you have the post link would be helpful if it is a relative video for solo mining.

I recommended to mine with a pool but you can solo mining with your wallet adding gen=1 into the ufo.conf file
The ufo.conf text file live into the same directory where you find the wallet.dat file
Normally in a classic windows 10:  C:\Users\yourwindowsnick\AppData\Roaming\UFO
If your platform are Linux/Unix/Solaris like, you can find it into your /home/yourLinuxNick/.ufo directory
You can find an example of the ufo.conf file here: http://ufocoin.co/pgs/conf.html#conf
For a pool mining you can mine with your Android: http://ufocoin.it/silos/How_to_mine_UFO_Coin_in_a_flash.pdf
Normally mining pools have setup guides to mining each coin.
Take in mind this is a powerful Neoscrypt coin and the rules to mining it are not completely like with the script coins.

Let me know

Hi, I tried to solo mine UFO coins but could not do it!

Miner did not start and I am not sure if the wallet got connected as an active peer.
I am not sure what is going wrong. Is it the miner or the code that I should change?
Windows - AMD graphics card

Thank you

I'm using windows installer. I tried all above still no connection.

Hi Tara, possibly the node given in the post above has more spaces. Try again copying the one below.

Copy this:     addnode node1.ns0.it add

Open the wallet > Help > Debug Window > Console > Paste the above in the bottom field > Hit Enter

Wait a little and you will see the wallet synchronizing. It takes a couple of hours to sychronize with the blockchain fully, it will though.

I dont believe they even know what coin they are mining lol Cheesy
True, true. Roll Eyes

However, Can you increase the mining difficulty? You are the developer right? Increase it!

You know that printing money devalues a currency. If a country prints a lot of money then you can buy the same things with more units of a currency. Everything is more 'expensive' ... but that is not really true. It is the currency that devalues.

Another matter is that mining difficulty is not increasing, hence people receive a great amount of newly issued coins through blocks, aimed for bag holding or selling for BTC from the buy orders.

I will begin trading UFO/BTC.

Today I only bought from the sell orders. But now I will place buy orders and sell orders instead.

Thanks for letting me know of the issue bag holding UFO coins creates. I hope UFO coin bag holders got the message. Buy and sell people on coinexchange.io for the moment.

I traded BTC/UFO only, buying and selling and my net profit was 0.44-5 btc while retaining my ufo coins... It could be a very profitable coin.  The activity on coinexchange.io slowed down and the stream ended when somebody hit my buy orders at once.

What could you do to increase the value? Well... I do not know how to do it overnight, sorry. We are seeking to expand our "community" with more active members now.

I hope more folks buy at high price because only then they realize that it is in their interest to make it go higher.

Just get active or get radioactive Cheesy

Well said. Trading is risky. What happens if you sell on a value you think it is high and you expect to buy lower, then all of a sudden the value gets really high without you on board. Has happened to me. And I don't want one more time. I believe people are affraid to trade including me.

Do you think that people should be afraid to trade UFO coin?

I am.

It should get on more exchanges to have more movement. Coinexchange.io had limited movement, nobody was selling at one point. Many folks are holding their coins, thus hurting the economy... There just has to be movement.

I managed to make about 0.4 btc just by moving my coins for a couple of days. But folks want to be instant millionaires by holding the coins for when the right price hits. You will never be millionaires, folks!

Btw, folks get active only when there is a difference in the price... otherwise I see no engagement... Only a couple of folks have contacted me asking what could be done. So do not get frustrated when the price plummets. The problem is partly in you too.

Hi daimyo,

I am very interested in participating in helping to increase the value of UFO coin.
By saying moving your coins, do you mean that you traded only on market UFO/BTC or by trading on other markets too?
Could you please give me some tips on the most appropriate moves and I will proceed in doing them.

Regards.
