I just received my three recent mtgox -> dwolla transfers. Additionally a mtgox employee has confirmed that mtgox is once again transferring money to dwolla:
http://www.reddit.com/r/MtGox/comments/hwenn/dwolla_update/

"I've just been advised that Dwolla is now processing!"

"If your transaction did not get through, please send the reference number and indicate it's a dwolla transaction to support@mtgox.com - we'll look into it."

i had to system restore my computer.  can i  just download the client again and stll get them or should i undo the restore

You need your wallet if you want your bitcoins. Essentially your wallet stores the information that proves that you own those 3 bitcoins. If you have a backup of your exported wallet, then you can import it into the new client. However if you did not make a backup of your wallet, then you should definitely undo the systems restore.

What bitcoin address did you ask mtgox to send the BTC to? You can look up information about your address here: http://blockexplorer.com/

The mtgox admin (MagicalTux) has said the delays are due to the Dwolla API changing. He's working on fixing his oauth code:
http://www.reddit.com/r/MtGox/comments/hvjea/update_mtgoxcom_when_there_are_problems/
It appears that no recent Dwolla transactions from mtgox have gone through.

Two days ago I transferred money from mtgox to dwolla. However nothing has shown up in my dwolla account yet. Yesterday I emailed mtgox, but have not yet received a response.

Code:
cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Bitcoin\poclbm\ poclbm.exe --host=mining.bitcoin.cz --port=8332 --user=*******.***** --pass=***** --device=0

Try this:
Code:
cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\Bitcoin\poclbm\"
poclbm.exe --host=mining.bitcoin.cz --port=8332 --user=*******.***** --pass=***** --device=0
(There's a newline between the cd ... line and the poclbm.exe... line.)

Re: 100 bitcoins sent but not received. Help!

Ok so I was trying to distribute bitcoins over multiple wallets to backup and I sent 100 coins to a new walled I created. They didn't show up so I sent 1 coin to the same address and that showed up instantly. What happened to my 100 bitcoins?

Have you figured out what's going on with the missing 100BTC? It looks like just after the 1FK... address received 100BTC, you sent 100BTC from the 1Fk... block to another address (1Asx...):

Re: Very basic questions

So my first question is, did I stop generating bitcoins just because the population of users exploded or was it because my version was out of date?  (I'm assuming the former.)

Both are partially correct. 1) As more bitcoins have been discovered due to the increase in miners, the difficultly of mining new blocks has increased significantly. 2) All the serious miners are now using GPUs instead of CPUs to mine blocks. GPUs are approximately 100 times faster at mining depending on the CPU/GPU.

The new version of the client (0.3.22-beta) doesn't seem to allow me to turn generation on and off and doesn't seem to give me the option to set the maximum number of cores to consume.

The most recent version of the Windows client removed the option to generate coins. A typical CPU might do 2Mhash/sec, which means on average it would now take 14101 days to generate one block of 50 BTC. If you want to do CPU mining, I suggest joining a mining pool.

if the color of websites pages  is black then a lot of energy is save , as a large no of pc's are use world wide.

Displaying black on CRT monitors saves energy. However it actually uses more energy to display black than white on LCDs. CRTs are old-style monitors that are thick and look like old TVs. LCDs are currently much more popular and are thin.

Re: 5.70 fee on a 70 BTC transaction?

If I wait over 24 hours, will I not have any fees with future transactions?

If your priority is high enough you will not have to pay a transaction fee. Things that increase your priority: 1) more confirmations on the coins you're using 2) larger value of the coins 3) smaller size of the data. Details are available at
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Transaction_fees

You can also look into using a free transaction relay: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Free_transaction_relay_policy
