BTC is meant to be a very volatile currency now, its still a baby currency.

This is true now, BTC is decreasing in value.

Yes, it is now easy to find businesses that accept BTC just by searching online. And more will be accepting it as well as other online currencies.

I would agree that the more BTC becomes popular, more people might be interested and more businesses might be using it. Those things are good for BTC whether directly affecting the price or not.

I have posted my address to various sites/forums too and so far it is not hacked yet. :p
Maybe because it only has very little amount not enough to make the hacker interested on it. Tongue

Don't worry about it, the chance of having a collision is extremely extremely low.
And no, it has nothing to do with your low address balance.

You can find 3 addresses with over 130,000 btc on each of it, and those bitcoin are safe. https://btc.blockr.io/trivia/address Grin

Wow, over 130,000 btc. I wish I even have the 130. Tongue

Mining at home or in your own really seems not profitable with the increasing difficulty. Also with the pricey hardware and cost of electricity.

Re: Why consumers are not adopting BTC

There could be various factors. Like not yet aware of it, not all merchandises accepting it yet, cannot fully understand how it works or why it is a real currency, etc.  Grin

In the future, bitcoin will be a huge success if everyone actively promoted & use bitcoin
Otherwise, bitcoin future is just like today

BTC is doomed to die, and nothing you can do about it

Bitcoin won't dead  Smiley

Bitcoin won't dead?

Who are you, Tarzan?

Bitcoin died many a times before. After observing all these deaths PayPal has decided to accept it Smiley

PayPal must be happy with those deaths and so, accepting it. JK Tongue

Re: Random 0.00001 BTC from Laxo Trade?
by
marife01
on 01/10/2014, 09:21:45 UTC

There were many questions here and PMs about how I made so many addresses, so I figured I would write and share a Python program everyone can use to make addresses and use it to spam up the forum so Laxo trade sends their money where it can actually be spent.

Not a good idea to be telling people how to do this otherwise this forum will be full of newbs spamming up the place with addresses  Grin.

Noobs get no BTC or a useless 1 satoshi from these guys anyway.

That's not going to stop them spamming addresses  Cheesy. I got 0.0001 from this and I think some Full Members or Snrs even got 0.001.

Not that bad amount just for free. Tongue

Hey Smiley

Few minutes ago i received two payments - 0.00000001 BTC  ?! Anyone else the same ?

maybe its a spam mail through the blockchain couple of these in the last times they send you 1 satoshi with a message in the blockchain or some shit like that i read it in another thread here. not from genesis mining maybe from some gambling site.

Read about this on other threads. Those are spam advertisements.
