Re: Do you own 1 Bitcoin?
by
marjoree
on 27/03/2018, 15:08:58 UTC
I remember several years ago similar poll was made and i was surprised most of the users answered NO.
In case your answer is still NO, I'd like to know what is your main reason not to own one bitcoin?

EDIT2018:
In 2017 it was 51% YES / 49% NO.
I'll leave voting open and since we are no longer in 2017 I'll change the subject to "Do you own 1 Bitcoin?"

Since I am a newbie, I will be honest here. Actually, I dreamed of having 1 bitcoin in my wallet because I know that the value of it will increase more. It's been a month since I got here in the forum and I am really glad because I reached full member rank. As of now, I am still doing my best to earn 1 bitcoin at least because I know that is more profitable if I hold it.

Re: Twitter banned cryptocurrencies Ads
by

on 27/03/2018, 14:42:50 UTC
Twitter will follow Google and Facebook's lead in banning cryptocurrency ads.

The ban will roll out Tuesday, and become fully enforceable for all advertisers within a month, including initial coin offerings and token sales.

It will also cover ads by cryptocurrency exchanges and cryptocurrency wallet services.

Is that a problem for bitcoin too or only ICO's ??
Last month, there's an issue regarding ICOs advertising being banned on Facebook and its on twitter now. I really don't know if there's a problem in ICOs but one thing that comes up to my mind is protecting the identity of people. Actually, bitcoin can be a source of danger because as you can see, it is really attractive in the eyes of people with bad intention. The thing is, does the advertising of ICOs in any other social media has been followed or not?

Re: Is it better to mine or buy Bitcoin?
by
marjoree
on 27/03/2018, 14:15:51 UTC

i think Bitcoin is only profitable if done at large scales. you must get expensive mining equipment and of course it consumes a lot of electricity monthly. Also it’s usually much more cost effective to buy Bitcoins with this money instead of using it to buy mining equipment.

In my opinion, it is better to buy bitcoin with its current price in the market than mining because it was an obvious that bitcoin's value will still increase as the time pass by. It is still up to your decisions and we are just here to give you some advice. For me, mining is costly because you have to consider the electricity that you will consume.

Re: Why do you love Bitcoin?

I love bitcoin because its the crypto currency and its the king of the crypto.
It hasa lot of use cases.
I can exchange it to any other crypto.

Why do you love Bitcoin?
Why are you interested?

One of the reasons why I love bitcoin was because it can be earned and cashed out. I know it is not really easy to earn bitcoin but I am really glad that there's a way in order to earn. I love bitcoin because it becomes more expensive  as the time pass by.Another good thing about bitcoin is that it can be used for transactions.

Re: stop listening to false news
by
marjoree
on 25/03/2018, 15:17:49 UTC
The current "crash" is caused by one bad "news" after another.   A lot of them are the false or twisted truth.

For example, today, once again "China Full ban crypto".   What the...    Why is it causing another crash??  Why is it even "news"?

It was already banned in China back in September 2017.   All trading platforms suspended trading in September.   Anyone from China who still trade Crypto must be using foreign platforms.   Sure, they reported that China added all crypto exchange sites to Great FireWall.   So what?  These people have VPNs!   When I was in China, everyone who visits foreign sites use VPNs.   Yes, China banned VPN as well a long time ago.   So what?  Everyone is still using it.   Just like ignoring the traffic light is illegal in China, but at every intersection, you will see people ignore the red lights... the truth!   Just because it is "illegal", does not mean no one will do it.

So just this (one) news of China banned Crypto, it was repeatedly used to crash the Crypto market (4 or 5 times).   Do not fall for it!
1.  Summer 2017, China banned ICO.
2.  September 2017, China banned crypto trading.
3.  November or December?  China became unfriendly to crypto mining (Large-scale miners moved oversea already)
4.  January 2018.  China banned websites of foreign crypto exchanges. (VPN!!!)
5.  Today, "China Full Ban Crypto"...  (Really?)

So what is next?
"China really ban crypto"?
"China really full ban crypto"?
"China really really full ban crypto"Huh
"China will jail anyone who trades crypto"Huh
"China will execute anyone who trades crypto"?
"China will nuke every country who trade crypto"Huh??

Stop spreading this nonsense.    What's done was already done in September 2017.   Nothing has changed ever since.  NOTHING really changed in the last 4~5 months.

Yellow journalism at its best.

Same goes for Korean and Indian news.   South Korea did not really ban crypto.  Just one guy wanted to ban it.  It was not approved, nor implemented.   So far they have only added regulations that people can no longer trade anonymously.   So what?   Didn't Coinbase, Kraken, Bittrex etc. US-based platforms all require our IDs and photos?

India also did not ban crypto.  Just a minister made some unfriendly speech toward crypto.  No real "ban" whatsoever.

From the look of it, someone or some groups are trying hard to make the prices go down.   The sad thing is, people are falling for it.   The same China "news" was used on 5 occasions to cause the market crash while nothing was really changed or happened.   Korean news was used on at least 2 occasions.

The bottom line is, let's just ignore all the stupid "news".   Use our brains.   Not hearsay from yellow journalism.   It is getting annoying to have every little "news" to impact the market price.

I know that there are lots of fake news, but the thing is, we cannot blame other people if they already believed in it because as you can see, there are some people who easily believe on what others said. To be honest, when it comes to the other thread here in bitcoin forum that has a link for information about the article, I used to see what's in it and believe me it really helps a lot. The author of an article needs to know in order to make sure if it's a reliable source.

so how can i win free Satoshis BTCand begin my way in crypto currencies??
can any body help me how to start Huh?

When I first found out about bitcoin, the first thing that comes to my mind is "I don't have enough money to invest with" but then my friends told me that I can earn income by working on bounty campaigns. At first, it is really hard for me to believe about it, but as the time pass by, I am really grateful when I had my first payment because it is not a scam . You can do what I've done when I'm still a newbie and you just need to be optimistic. Fighting!

Re: Bitcoin is really good but not right now !

on 25/03/2018, 14:21:15 UTC
I will not invest bitcoin at the moment, it puzzles me.  2017, bitcoin prices will increase as bitcoin loans are the primary currency. In 2018 I saw a lot of bitcoin imbalances at times when it came to the point where I could not believe Embarrassed
Indeed bitcoin is a great thing here in crypto world because of its potential. I know that the current price of bitcoin the market is not high, but the thing is, there are still people who keep on saying and advising us to hold our coins. To be honest, I am really disappointed in bitcoins value now because I lose a huge amount of money holding my tokens. However, I can't do anything but to keep on thinking that everything will be fine.

Re: Hold out or sell Bitcoin?
by
marjoree
on 20/03/2018, 15:24:48 UTC
With the price starting to creep up again do you think it's a good time to start selling some of my investments or do you think it's worth holding on for a while longer?

We all know how temperamental the market can be but do you think this is just a short term spike?
Panic selling is what other people did and what others planning now because of the current value of crypto currencies. When bitcoin's value dropped, all of the crypto coins also drop. If you think that selling at its lowest price will make you satisfy then do whatever makes you happy but the thing is, are you even sure that you can make a profit out of it?

on 20/03/2018, 14:58:23 UTC
I'm newbie ,
im selected get bitcoin, how to get....!
 Helpfull

If you were a newbie, trading is not for those faint hearted because this process is like a game that anytime you might win or lose. Most of the people who deal with crypto currencies tried to trade their tokens. Trading is fun to some experts, but then it will really give you a heartbreak once you experienced losing a huge amount of money while mining is a process where you will need a money for electric bills because as far as I know, if you want to earn a huge income, your personal computer should be opened for 24 hours.

Re: Why bitcoin is not supported in some countries?
by
marjoree
on 20/03/2018, 14:43:27 UTC
I have heard that bitcoin is not supported in some countries. But why ? Is it because bitcoin is risky ? Some countries even declare 6 months jail if her people use bitcoin. Is it fair ? I mined few cryptos and have left mining. It was fun and challenging too. But I never got any clear answer. What does my gpu actually do ? I pay electric bill, my room temperature goes high and I get paid. With actually no skill on pc hardware and software. Whole thing is still pretty unclear to me
One of the reasons why some other countries don't support bitcoin or any other crypto currencies is the fear of ignorance of fiat because they think that it will be the cause of falling of their economy, but the economists of India realized and said that the bitcoin's economy has nothing to do with the economy of a certain country.

Re: Bitcoin as money
by
marjoree
on 20/03/2018, 14:31:18 UTC
They say that bitcoin is the future of money. What do you think if we use bitcoin in everyday lives as a money? Like buying foods. Or buying clothes. Do you imagine it positively or negatively?
Bitcoin as money is what other people think because as you can see, it can be used for transactions. Bitcoin can be converted into cash which means that we can use it even in real life. People keep on saying that bitcoin is the future money, but the thing is, how do we come up with this idea if the bitcoin's value is not stable? It will only affect the individual if there's a sudden drop of value.

Re: Who controls the Bitcoin system?
by
marjoree
on 20/03/2018, 14:06:22 UTC
I think nobody can control or own the bitcoin system like they can not control and possess the technology by email and the internet. I think Bitcoin is no different than a mobile application or program that offers a personal Bitcoin wallet and allows users to send and receive Bitcoin.
One of the common concerns of other people here is the bitcoin system because the most questions is the person who's manipulating the bitcoin. Experts keep on saying that it is anonymous but the scary thing that other think is that what will happen if there will be a corrupted at the protocol level. Indeed, it is programmed, but as far as I know it is anonymous.

Guys what do you think about Homeless people who use cryptocurrency on the street is that an evolution or something else ?

I couldn't imagine how homeless people use crypto currency despite of their situation. Maybe they are all not really homeless because they can afford to have an internet or maybe they are just pretending to be homeless for social experiments. If that situation is really true, then I am glad that they now found a way to become free of being homeless.

Re: I Love To See People Panic Selling Of Bitcoin
by
marjoree
on 18/03/2018, 21:48:08 UTC
I know there are people get their profit now, they bought their bitcoin on very cheap price and as the bitcoin's price go high there are many dumping their bitcoins. However new investors of bitcoin or should I say newbie on cryptocurrency are panic selling their bitcoin in the mere fact that they bought on ATH all time high price, I love to see that they learn and this is how we welcome all the newbies. Welcome to the cryptocurrency!!! Always learn from the mistake, that's the best strength we can get after losing, that's where we all started.
Panic selling is obviously the reaction of some people when there's a dropping value of bitcoin. If I only have enough bitcoin then probably I will do the same thing because it is really scary ending up with an empty wallet just because of the falling value of bitcoin.

Re: Why are you investing in Bitcoin?
by
marjoree
on 13/03/2018, 23:36:19 UTC
So my question is.
Are you investing into Bitcoin purely as a investment?
Or are you investing because you believe in Bitcoin and the technology?
Back when Bitcoin started i feel people invested, because there believed in it, and wanted to see it change the world.
Now days i feel people only look at it as a way to make money, and don't really care about the future of it.
Whats peoples thoughts?
To be honest, I don’t have enough of money to invest in bitcoin. I actually worked on signature campaigns in order to earn btc and it is an awesome experience. I won’t agree on what you’ve said that “people only see bitcoin as a way to make money without even thinking the future of it”. In my opinion, people see bitcoin’s future, but this year, the value of btc disappoints a lot of people, which result of selling off their coins and turn it into cash and the reason why they do it was because of fear that they might end up with an empty wallet.

Re: Is the future of bitcoin dependent on India and China?
by
marjoree
on 13/03/2018, 23:27:37 UTC
Recent  utterances from India's finance minister seem to have stricken fear in the entire cryptocurrency world. Utterances and
government decisions from these  countries seem to have massive effects on cryptocurrencies. What's the way forward for cryptos, especially  bitcoin without these countries.
Bitcoin was banned in India before, but then the economists of the country take back his words because he found out that the bitcoin’s economy has nothing to do with the economy of their country. The uniqueness of bitcoin were found and they were so amazed with its development. Currently, the only issue of India in bitcoin is the unstable value of it. They even warned their citizen on not to invest in bitcoin.

I want to start investing in Trading someone can help me how can I start , What things to do and how ?

Answer so much appreciated thanks ..
I think you should know what's the difference between trading and investing. Trading is a process where you can earn a huge amount of money in just a short term of time because you'll just have to do the buy and sell while Investing is a process where you can earn a huge amount of money in the long term of time. Both process is profitable. It is all up to your skills which one suit you the most.

Re: BTC is still better than BTH?
by
marjoree
on 08/03/2018, 16:01:39 UTC
I read online that BTH is more faster and cheaper-fee than BTC, so why people are not migrating to BTH en mass?
I mean why Hodl BTC?? if there is an other so similar crypto but best-design...
thank
Whenever there is a coin or crypto coins that are being compared to bitcoin, I always tried to look for its potential due to the fact that someone or some people really believe that it can beat bitcoin. Indeed, BTH is cheaper, but bitcoins transaction is only the overprice. As you can see, the price of bitcoin transaction is just fair and fine because of its value and some exchange deserves it. What did you really think that BTH is better than BTC? Do you really have enough information or a link that will show the different between the two? Just asking.
