Re: [ANN][COYE] Coinye Coin - v3.0 ADDED BOUNTIES 50M & EXCHANGE

How about the Devs approach the Zerocoin people (http://zerocoin.org/), to use its features and then change the name one and for all. I think the media attention is dwindling and Zerocoin features would give people a reason to use it. Just a thought im not an expert.

100% SURE
There is no losing factor if the community will stand strong. Eventually an exchange will pop up one day or another.

WHY?
Because there is a demand for that! It would be highly unreasonable not to accept Coinye into an exchange, because of the potential and importance it has!
  • It was the first coin that was sued in crypto currency history and it's important to keep it well and strong for all the crypto community!
  • Publicity of the coin. We all know that media is highly interested in Coinye's future and we all know how media can pump up the price of it!
  • Personal factors such as fun to mine, trade etc., etc.
That is three main factors that I see today, but there will be way more in the future.
Please take it into your head and always remember - demand = supply. And we do demand an exchange.

WHY YOU SHOULD START MINING OR BUYING?
  • Because network hashrate is extremely low now, so that means you can mine extremely efficiently! Or/and you can buy it extremely cheap.
JUST DO BOTH! Now is the time! I truly believe that now is a great chance to invest and make a great return.

WORST CASE SCENARIO
Coin's rebranding. New name, new wallet with different images. Done.
Actually there is no need to change coin's name within the wallet, if we don't want to. What we need is an exchange that would rename the coin in the exchange itself and that's it. We would all know that Coinye in exchange X is called Eynioc (Coinye backwards, for example) and then we can trade it there. *Legal issues solved.
*I dont see any reasonable legal issues today. Kanye's lawyers just want to scare us off, but they don't have any solid base to do that anyway. I do agree that professional rebranding would scatter any fog around it.

WILL NEVER HAPPEN
There is no shutting down. Coinye will never die, because of the publicity and P2P technology itself.

HEADACHE
If you are little paranoid kid, then you are allowed to scream in this topic and cry about an exchange not being released TODAY. People like me, they don't care about your childish whining.

SUPPORT
I support Coinye to the fullest and that's how it will be. I will never let someone to try ruin a coin that is supposed to represent freedom and a power of will.
I have no doubts that Coinye has a huge potential to compete with Dogecoin.
Soon I will run Coinyecoin giveaways to promote the coin futher!

WHY I'M WRITING THIS?
I want  people to open their eyes and see it's potential. It's not that hard!

NOTE
By the way, I am advertising expert working in well-known agency. I did a lot of branding/rebranding for various projects. If Coinyecoin needs my help, please contact me via PM.

+1

I believe in Coinye, and donate a lot of coins to my friends and others here in the forum...

We all have to belive in this Coin, thats the way all great things start!

Net hashrate is climbing again.  Double what it was this morning.  Smiley

Hang on to your coins and be patient.  An exchange will probably be up soon.  Don't be a "premature seller"!

Re: [ANN][KOI] KOIN - Scrypt Coin - 90 second confirmations.

Is this same as COYE or not? I am confused))

Only 'difference' is the name Smiley
Why in the hell would you do that?

The rebranding is due to the repeated cease and desist letters received by developers and services involved in 'coinye' due to its name. A number of people from the community (myself included) came to the conclusion that a re-branding was the best solution (when this was happening the coinye devs were abandoning coinye). This way everyone gets to keep the coins they accumulated, and services can operate with the new name, allowing them to adopt the coin without potential legal consequences or harassment from kanyes attorneys.

Those that wish to continue calling it coinye are more than welcome to do so. No ones stopping anyone from using the coinye wallet. Exchanges can start listing koi/btc (without getting cease and desists), users running the coinye wallet can still deposit coins into their exchanges koi address.  Same blockchain, same addresses, everything is compatible. Koin does not intend to replace coinye, but to allow it a means to be widely adopted.

It's very unlikely you will see coye listed on any major exchanges anytime soon, if ever. Koi on the otherhand, more likely as it doesnt come with the risk of legal action.

This decision was not made by one person, but a group of active community members (this all took place on IRC).

Long story short: Open Source: 1, Bureaucratic BS: 0
Seem like a good decision to me, cant see a problem.

You should totally trade COYE, even for a few days, charge 1% trade fee take it down once/if you get a legal notice. Be worth it for all the extra traffic/exposure.

Also, Earthcoin and QQC.
I agree COYE/KOIN/Coinye would be a good idea, plenty of people waiting for it to hit an exchange.

If Ebay resolves the issues with Paypal, then surely EBay could be a exchange in its own right? and as williecity mentioned I have noticed alot of Coinye being traded. Good news for alt coins I think.

They still wont be allowed to list Coinye due to legal threats from Kanye.
I know what your saying but http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.Xcoinye&_nkw=coinye&_sacat=0&_from=R40

Not to sure if there is a list but one that interests me is Zerocoin, originally designed to be a extension of Bitcoin but have decided to create their own currency, coming out in May 2014 I believe.

Question here: With Zero coin http://zerocoin.org/coin the proposed Bitcoin extension failing and resorting to going at it alone being  released in May 2014. Could whoever is behind Coinye do a deal for Zero coin to provide Coinye with its features, which would steer the coin away from the Kanye saga (rename???) and make it a alt currency with more features making it easier for exchanges to accept it. Im proberly talking rubbish and yes im a newbie.

Ebay to allow trading

I know some coins are already being traded on Ebay, but many have been taken off.
Could this see less of a need for the exchanges one day?
