Re: Bitcoin will go up like last year?
by

Bitcoin rising to price tag of $20k with present signs in market is definitely not possible. Thought market is unpredictable, the price will all depend on the demand and with present scenario what I think is market accepts the 7k below price for a btc. So atmost it will be go close to 10k this year.

there's no need of doing anything like that. all that the person wanted was to create a technology that could solve the double spending problem and bring the digital assets dream come true for everyone. if he/she needed fame, it would have happened by now. many ppl love what they do, and this person did the same. what we can learn is that its imp to keep doing things that can support the society and rest everything comes after.

Re: Why do we need to regulate digital money
by
markiplier.jack
on 27/09/2018, 21:41:32 UTC
if the regulations are made for more safer and support wider adoption of cryptos then it will be boon for the community. like regulations on ICOs can reduce scams, regulations on exchanges can support more transparent trades leading to less volatility, and so on. but yes regulations shouldn't hamper the core fundamentals of blockchain. so it all comes down to the way the regulations are made.

its not bluffing. Bitcoin Cash is a peer-to-peer electronic cash system. It's a permissionless, decentralized cryptocurrency that requires no trusted third parties and no central bank. so the ceo's statement is to indicate a future where ppl can go for cryptos than banks.

Re: Does bitcoin control the market?
by
markiplier.jack
on 22/09/2018, 10:19:18 UTC
its nth like control.. with my analysis I think that when the alt coins prices go down... ppl invest in btc. you could see this recently when the btc dominance rose. The prices of btc and altcoins are negatively correlated when market goes down. but if the market rises... all coins increase, except few coins.

btc prices did go up high as moon last year, but, the actual fact is for any currency or digital asset to work it needs to get adopted and ppl should connect the value. Prices now are close to acceptable, and unless any force from futures market... I think its gonna be strong for more time.

Re: The day will surely come Banks soon accept Bitcoin
by
markiplier.jack
on 29/08/2018, 16:37:04 UTC
banks accepting bitcoin is not a good news. bitcoin is about open financial system with no middlemen. Banks will not get paid much if they go about supporting bitcoin or other altcoins. rather they will push the system to remove bitcoins or else come out with their own blockchain.

Re: Why did the government want to kill Bitcoin?
by
markiplier.jack
on 26/07/2018, 09:38:37 UTC
the reason stated are true. government need revenue and as btc or any other cryptos cannot be taxed easily, the govs wont have revenue. also all monetary policies come from the gov because they can control the supply of currencies. if cryptos are used everywhere, then gov will fail to control the policies of the nations. this is why gov rather than studying ways to clear these problems just simply are banning the cryptos.

only taxing the cryptos wouldn't simply mean that cryptos would become legal. the fact that it is very volatile is one why it cannot be used by everyone. you know that $100 today will be $100 after a week too (not taking inflation in the picture). But 1btc today can be $7.5K today but it might increase or decrease tomorrow. It cannot become a currency for everyday users when it has such huge fluctuations.

by

yes, it all depends on your own trade strategies. markets will go up and down. its upto the owner if he wishes to buy or sell. My suggestion is to follow the market and news well, and it will come naturally to either buy or sell or even hold.

Re: Benefits of bitcoin(cryptocurrency) to fiat currency transaction? How easier?
by
markiplier.jack
on 10/07/2018, 13:47:55 UTC
Conversion to fiat is mostly beneficial to protect oneself from the risk of price fluctuations. You can use exchanges like Coinbase and Gemini to turn any cryptos to fiat. If you are looking to trade your Bitcoin directly for physical cash then LocalBitcoins.com may be a better solution. But most importantly do mind the fees and also the timing they take for conversion. So read the FAQ's of native sites well before using any services.

Re: Why do people need to use Bitcoin for Money laundering?
by
markiplier.jack
on 05/07/2018, 16:23:19 UTC
Between 2004 and 2010, HSBC laundered Billions of Dollars for the Mexican Drug cartels and nobody blinked an eye. After

7 years of doing this, they got busted and they paid US$1.9bn in fines. {This could be recovered in profits, within a few

weeks} Most people saw this as a slap on the wrist for the people who were involved with this. Not one person working for the

Bank got jail time for doing this.  Roll Eyes  https://observer.news/featured/5-years-ago-hsbc-fined-record-us1-9bn/

Ross Ulbricht, was sentenced to life in prison without parole for creating and running Silk Road, which allegedly facilitated

the sale of $250 million worth of drugs.

Why are we seeing such double standards, when Bitcoin is involved?

Money laundering, drug cartel, finance of terrorist, etc., all these things are a black propaganda against bitcoin well-organized criminals don't use bitcoin or accept bitcoin because they cant convert it to cash easily.

I think there is a way. As one of my friends gave me some satoshis for cash. So if there will be some rich ppl who have money and want BTC, they will trade it for their cash. even rare, but there are chances of conversion.

Re: Why do people need to use Bitcoin for Money laundering?
by
markiplier.jack

Let me bring out this point that bitcoin isn't completely anonymous. If your address is ever linked to your identity, every transaction will be linked to you. Even if you use new addresses every time, it is not enough to guarantee full anonymity due to multi-input transactions. But all this said, it is still a better way than using real currency which involves banks, and with banks comes regulations. So yes ppl will keep using btc for money laundering if needed because of that extra layer of protection.

Re: Like Facebook, will Twitter welcome blockchain??
by

Facebook is exploring the blockchain technology. They will get into it and might bring their own crypto once SEC in the US comes out with some new change in crypto policy. Until then every company, including twitter will only wait and watch unless there is something interesting and safe for them to do.

Re: Thailand Legalize Crypto currency
by

Thai Sec's gave permit for seven cryptocurrencies, used for initial coin offerings (ICOs), to be traded as trading pairs. They are bitcoin, ethereum, bitcoin cash, ethereum classic, litecoin, ripple, and stellar. This is great news for the crypto economy and will create better avenues for the people there to invest and use cryptos now.

Re: How did you recover from your loss in bitcoin investment?
by
markiplier.jack
on 02/07/2018, 16:39:37 UTC
You have to understand the market trend. Some make money when the market falls (short selling) and major do when it rises. It might not be easy at first but with a proper watch, you will get the market trends. Learn from the history. 2018 is almost similar to how cryptos behaved back in 2017. Learn some good trading strategies. There are exchanges with many order- stop loss, stop limit to save from losses. So you do the profit and loss analysis and make strategies that can generate profits. Hold if needed or trade. It will come naturally. But keep learning.
