Golem seems good from the 3 coins your mention. They are still working and it would take them 2 to 3 years to deliver the final product. Another similar project is iEx.ec, they haven't started their ICO yet.: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1746241.0

You could also look to invest into Dapps such as ICN, SNGLS, VSL ,EDG which are  good long term projects with a vision and a road map backed by good team members. I strongly believe that investing in such projects could create a lot of wealth for the holders.

Re: What to do with the people who don't like Bitcoin?

very easy . I let them, and then they see what I can get after getting to know bitcoin.
they would be interested in and start using bitcoin. simple steps that impress them against us.
I would never boast my earnings and winnings to anybody and i would not bother whether someone is making money with it or not but someone really wants to know about it and are really interested to know more about it ,i would be happy to explain everything to him rather than showing him the way to be someone who he is not interested in.

I do try to talk to people about bitcoin and other crypto currency when  they ask me about the recent post or share I did on my facebook page and some of them are interested, some doesn't. I try not to talk much of the income I get but sometime talking about making money through crypto does grab their attention at least for a short while. Whether they want to follow your path or not is their sole choice.

I think whats holding bitcoin back is the transaction delay caused due to the block hitting its maximum capacity. If the community comes at a consensus and fix this issue, we can see massive appreciation in the value of bitcoin. And it is always a best idea to slowly add bitcoin every month to your long term investment.

Good to do a twitter campaign for ethbit as it will help to spread the world. Also keeping same reward for all profiles irrespective of the number of followers is something that I am seeing for the first time. But if it can convey the message, I think it is all fine.

Taas is going to sold out in 1 week.Glad to see the huge response from investors 877 btc in 12 hours.Congratulations to Taas team Smiley

Well I think ppl are waiting because btc is going up, we would get 10% more from yesterday !
true, but careful 1000BTC is about to be reached  Grin

There are about 101 million tokens for sale in the ICO each having a value of $1. If TaaS gets sold out in 1 week or so, then that means $101 million is collected. Now if that happens, won't that be a new world record of fund collection in an ICO?  Shocked

At current rate there is not going to be more than 40 000 000 TaaS
I doubt they will raise 10 000 000 But that is just better for ICO investors, their tokens will be worth 10x more than they would if there was 100 000 000 raised.

Record is golem project 9 000 000 USD raised in under 29 minutes not 30 days like what TaaS is aiming for.

$10 million will be a good amount and it is quite hard to predict how much each new project would raise. The hype in blockchain and crypto space is attracting some serious investors who don't mind shelling out millions for projects that gave give back good returns. Guess will we have to wait and see how the ICO ends.

many people have said that ARK had one of the smoothest launches they have experienced in crypto

Yes it is. It was good to see ARK lite and ARK Client working well. All bounties and promotions was pretty good and well executed. Looking forward to see ARK team executing everything as per the Road map.

Re: Decred up 90% in 24 hours
by

Anyone know the reason?
I tried to search for some clues on Decred's official forum, here: https://forum.decred.org/
But there is not much activity going on there. Barely any recent discussions.
So without any serious news, it is safe to assume that it's standard pump&dump action.

No need to assume. It is surely a pump. We have seen this occur many times in a cryptocoin's trading cycle. It will be pumped and then dumped then pumped again to the traders delight. When there is no more bitcoins to be made because the newbies ran out of money they leave. Then the coin fades in trading and sometimes delisted by the exchange because the volume is very low.

Yup, it is a pump. The real question is how far the pump will take the price of DCR. I heard some rumors if DCR's supply getting reduced. Is it true? If not, it might be good to short it now.

The longest wait from concept to launch is now a running race between decent and wings..

Anyone want to do some forecasting on which will launch first?

Lol I guess that is what Wings for. My bet is wings might come first because we are now witnessing the products beta run. Devs are doing this to have some fine tuning to the platform before it can have a real operation.

Decent might launch the main-net on june or july, they are still running test net. Wings can launch before that, at least that is what I am expecting.

The option for you would be to pay higher transaction fee if you are using bitcoin to gamble or use other gambling platforms such as Vdice which uses ETH only as the entire platform is based on the Ethereum blockchain. I believe the confirmation is quicker and cheaper than bitcoin.

What is the value of 1 stake for twitter and facebook?

It's relative. It depends on other people and how many stakes they have.

Some updates on bounties:

We are still finalising a smart contract for country distribution. There are somewhere around 3000+ wallets, therefore it takes time.

Regarding exchanges:

etherdelta is already trading a token. This week I will post some more updates.
If you guys want a super fast response to a question, join our slack group and PM personally. Usually we are online there.

so this means you missed my questions on slack, please check your DM
thanks

Wrote you an answer.

That's a little shame.
They built everything perfect for ico and take money from investors..

Now, at the time they need to release bounties they have issues and delay.
"too many wallet-we need to write a smart contract-twitter button that show success and after you login back he still say claim..."
Weird.

From day one on twitter there was a 100k retweet and also their signature doc show thousands of applyers....it was cleary since day 1.
After 1 month they came with "ops, there are too many wallet, we have delay".

It remindes me Cronobank drama scam. Who is bounties ico responsable?

Hey dude, listen.

Bounty program was supposed to be purely automatic. However it has a "human factor" which requires a "judgement" on a specific situation which we did not estimate properly.

Before launching a bounty program we DID NOT EXPECT A LOT OF FREE RUNNERS/ CHEATING bounty participants who made fake posts, fake blog articles and other type of things which generates a negative value.

Because of these cases, right now we need to go to each person individually, check their IP addresses and many more. (more than 3000+ people) and evaluate his contribution. For 1 person it takes 2 - 4 minutes. So its somewhere around 6000 - 12000 minutes which is 100 - 200 hours. And that's just for checking whether a person is a proper participant or a free runner.

I hope you understand.

Today we will make a large update on a current status of the bounty program.

Great job, you eliminate those social media cheaters, which is awesome like Iconomi did. Be careful of fake translations and low-quality blogs.
woww edgeless team seriusly for their participant , great jobs time
All participant cant waiti for launch edgeless lounge

Happy to see edgeless team is taking the efforts to clean spammer and cheaters who are simply greedy to steal bounty tokens of other deserving participants. Take all the time you guys need, because a true supporter would never keep asking or bugging for bounty distribution as soon as the ICO ends.

Copy Trading platform in crypto is one of the best ideas yet

Sure. copy trading is something that is lacking in crypto world and I think there is a company called "etoro" dealing in stock which supports copy trading. Anyways, I believe Ethbit can become successful in this area.

I am kind of bullish of bitcoin, litecoin and XMR. Not much of a follower of ESPERS (ESP2). So if someone could explain why it could give good returns for 2017 it would be awesome. I am positive on tokens such as ICN, and SNGLS for 2017.

Re: Indian Gold Import Ban and Tax, Bitcoin Flying..
by

You never know what Modi will be striking next. First they started killing people for eating beef and started checking everyone's kitchen and now they are straggling with the regulations even to get the money out of everyone's bank account and now they will be checking everyone gold . Wonderful!!!!

It's so true. Beef has never been such a crime earlier and when Congress was ruling, we were still at peace. This Government has truly ruined the peace and because of this demonetization, everyone is trying to take advantage of the situation and trying to snatch money from those who don't have bank accounts or who have savings.

With Gold being targeted, those families who own inherited gold ornaments would just need to throw it out or pay heavy taxes on it. I just want this Government to fall before people start paying heavy taxes on even breathing.

I understand that if you have inherited gold from your parents, it is not going to cause any problems. Of course you may have to prove with valid documents that the gold is inherited. Frankly, I support demonetization. However, proper steps have not been implemented to make the entire process to go smooth.

People in villages are not ready to go digital, there are villages in India were there is no electricity! How can they go digital?

Everyone is entitled to his/her opinions..but bitcoin is here tp stay... and we are enjoying bitcoin

Sure, bitcoin is here to stay and rule the cryptos. I don't think banks will be replace by bitcoins. But both of them will be used together and simultaneously. There are people who still believe in Government backed Banks and that will hard to change. And Government need banks to function to have control over the economy.

Hi Everyone,

OK, so, Xchange update;

1) vSlice is listed on EtherDelta exchange already.

2) vSlice will be listed on Liqui Exchange in the next 48-hrs.

3)  We are now finalising listing with Yobit and BTC100.
We expect to confirm the listings there shortly.

We continue discussion with other major exchanges

We're working as fast as we can to get the web wallet working.
This will allow you to use your vSlice tokens easily (send/receive/redeem profits/view vSlice specific Tx).

In the meantime, if you need any assistance using your tokens, please contact us.
We are on all social media: https://blog.vdice.io/vdice-social-media/

The miscommunication between the marketing department and the devs seems quite silly. Anyways, congrats team vDice for the successful ICO. I look forward to hold my investment for long term and be a part of this successful venture.

Re: What will happen if Tech Giants get into Bitcoin or Altcoin Mining?
by
markisanon2434
on 13/12/2016, 17:08:14 UTC
What will happen if Tech Giants Like Google, Microsoft, Amazon starts investing in Bitcoin or Altcoin Mining?

tech giants like these that you named are too big to care about the profit they may get from bitcoin and remember that bitcoin is still not a fully established system but still in its beta initial phase and many even consider it risky and experimental.

those giants would either invest in something that can have a much bigger return 100 times bitcoin mining profit or if in a very unlikely scenario they decided to get in bitcoin they would buy and invest in it.
This is very true on which those big companies would really not bother to engage into bitcoin mining since they would see that they could only make small money with it infact they would rather choose to stick their traditional ways of making money which is even more bigger profits rather than on bitcoin mining. The would really not tend to jump on and you are right they would really hesitate since bitcoins value is still unstable and they dont like that for sure.

i agree. none of these tech giants will ever be interested enough to get into bitcoin "mining"
but on the other hand i think they will eventually start integrating bitcoin into their systems someday soon. Microsoft has been working with some altcoins in their Microsoft Azure, and i am sure that Amazon has been receiving so many requests requesting them to add bitcoin and they will give in to the requests. and these two are enough for bitcoin to go mainstream and to the moon from then on.

That makes sense. Tech Giants compete with each other and they will try to make their services better and bitcoin or altcoin mining is not in their league. I would like to see NVIDIA or AMD coming into this arena with some brand new GPUs which are powerful enough to take mining to the next level.
