over the last six months antpool hashrate fluctuated a lot and worldwide hashrate too, you cant take such a long period as evidence for either side. but of course a too short period like the one i posted ( 4 days) also says nothing.
Its hard to prove anything on any side. And i am not an accusor of scam, i have some doubts here and there (10 hour blocks at 80 PH Huh - how probable is that? ) but overall i am relativly satisfied. It just makes me angry that user posts are deleted without any comment.

It surely wasnt off topic, it was just one of those "accusation of scam" threads we already had a lot of. They deleted the whole thread not just one post.

Someone claimed blocks are being dropped (something with SVP settings.... Huh) - i did not understand his point entirely - and that hashnest should switch from PPLNS to PPS to make the game fair again.

Then someone else suspected hashnest to claim more hashrate in its pool (antpool) than they actually have in running machines. There have been many more posts, the thread maybe had 25 posts.

At last I posted an idea into the thread where I expressed the thought that maybe at the time in january when the S2 miners became unprofitable for the first time the following happend: BITMAIN_Rob said hashnest would power off the S2 machines as long as they are in a unprofitable region (lets say around 90-110%) and pay the users the PPS earnings no matter what - out of their own pockets. The machines have been turned off, thats sure. But i think they never have been turned on again. In order to find a fair calculation for the earnings of S2 and umisoo they had to add the missing hashrate to the overall pool hashrate as "virtual hashes" so that everyone gets his fair share. But now the machines are "redeemed" and shipped away or destroyed - whatever - but that added virtual amount of hashrate is still sitting there in antpool. They never deleted it. It would add up to - my guess - from 6 to 10 PH. Which the pool actually doesnt have.
That would explain why antpool delivers 16% of all new blocks (https://blockchain.info/pools) and NOT 18.5% as they should. They claim to have 84 PH but i think the real hasrate is 73 PH give or take.

Dont get me wrong - that was just some idea of mine out of the blue. My real point is that they deleted this relatively harmless thread and censored it away the chinese way- or was it not? Did we hit something?

Bitmain just now deleted a thread in its forum where a user was calling hashnest a scam. in this thread we came to the conclusion that hashnests "luck" is too low and there must be some reason for that. maybe they claim to have more hashrate than they actually do have.

not the point.

THEY CENSORED US!

I sent request for Arkenstone to bynergy too, nothing yet. But i believe some exchange will add it sooner or later.

btw. now i'm fine with 1 UNO for 100 ARS, UNO price is higher now, so now 1:100 seems a fair deal. you still want some ars? i have plenty Smiley

Interesting offer, but i am afraid it's not good enough. The electricity i spent mining ars was more than that. i offer you 1:50 , so 100 UNO for 5000 ARS.

I believe for now ARS doesnt match the requirements for adding to an exchange. we need someone to make new blockexplorer etc. best would be if dev would reappear and take care of his baby.
it may be true there are 4000 premined coins around, but i also lost 1600 on palth. maybe those 4000 are dead like the dev?

vote for the coin on comkort.com! maybe they add it - i dont know. arkenstone has some potential if only some people see that. it still deserves a chance. i like to compare it to unobtanium and other rare coins.

I believe Bitcoin is something like gold. It´s a moderately safe haven for money. But right now the stock markets are waaay more interesting for the big money. If (and we know there will) there comes a new crisis, war, or just falling stocks, BTC will reach new hights. But for now BTC isnt just interesting enough.

I do not believe that hashrate increase will go on with like 20% each 10 Days, there is a limit to exponential growth. At a certain point hardware becomes to expensive to manufacture and so hardware prices and network hashrate will find a stable top. I think you cant build hardware for much less than maybe 0.002 BTC (or 1 $) for 5 GHS or 0.0004 for 1 GHS.
So if hardware becomes too expensive in comparison to bitcoin difficulty, hasrate will stabilize at a very high top, maybe like 30 or 60 billion. From this point on you´re making constant profits with hardware you already have.
So my pbmining goal is to increase my hashpower until we reach that point. Always assuming that BTC price in fiat wont drop to zero, pbmining is not ponzi and so on...
So be careful with your ROI calculations, youre making assumptions of diff increases nobody can safely predict.

Another thing: I would like to buy piggyback GHS for sha256 altcoins because i think there are some coins worth looking at. Wouldnt that be a nice expansion for pbmining? Why not give that a try? Lets say all the altcoins listed at coinwarz.com.
