Completely opossite, if you consider betting marathon, its not addiction, its job. Addiction is when you cannot wait to place bet, you cannot be few days without it. I can easilly take whole summer off. And considering giving others money to bet, I see it also differently. I dont give them their money, I buy their knowledge and it is up to me how will I use it.

I have seen it losing more than 5 times in row, besides that, opinion considering tipster is personal and I disagree. For me reasoning is simple and quite obvious:
1) I know everything about Spain primera and I really rock it, its around 40 matches per month of which usually 10% are good matches with value. That means if I just stick to my knowledge, i can have small profit.
2) If you think you can cover superbly more than few leagues, you are wrong. You can check forums( usually 2nd hand info, odds already dropped and value lost) but still it is hard to keep focus on wide area. I have tried by myself, it didnt work. Perhaps you can make it work, but I seriously doubt it beacuse in all this period I haven't found a bettor who doesnt use some paid service, either for picks either for informations and analysis.

Managing bank roll was my bigges tproblem. I always wanted too much to soon. Now I split it. For example, some of my tipsters are from betrush site and have different stakings(one does flat, other scalable 1-10 and so more) so the hardest part is to adjust stakes. Reasoning for that is quite clear: you dont want tipster killing profit of your other just beacuse stakes aren't the same.
So now I have 50 000e for betting, thats my total bank that I have reserved. In order to be sure longterm, I bet 100e per unit if staking is 1-10 and if it's flat, I take it 5-10(500e). As you can see, I didn't take strict 2% beacuse I don't need it. I had issues with placing that much money without losing odds( I use Asians only with specific tipsters) and with this staking I earn enough. Considering bad streaks, the biggest question is where to quit some tipster. If he losses 5 units you say: he must come back, he is good and then he goes 10 down and you area already frustrated and dont know what I do. That is why I really pay attention to their history and reactions in such streaks and if he increased number of picks or stake while in past he kept his cool, I dump him. If someone goes to minus and keeps losing 8th or 9th pick but he gives same ammount of picks and all, I will still work with him, even if he goes to -12 which is my bottom line.  If he increases picks or stakes, I dump him at -5 already.

Considering bookies behavior, there is plenty of books regarding that and none of them is right. Bookies are adapting, changing their rules so it's becoming harder and harder to beat them them. For example I know bookmaker in UK bookie and his company shift odds according to markers. THey mark winners and when they stake(even small ammounts), they collapse odds. On the other side, some other bookies react differently. Example is Pinnacle who moves margin when staked ammount on bet is reached( you bet 700 on itf they downgrade the odds) so it all depends on bookmaker and market. Third option is bet365 where everyone waits live offer in order to place more.
My biggest problem, after money managment, were limits. Asians are hard to beat, but really hard. If someone can beat them, he is tipster for 2-3 years and then he goes betting by himself. Also they take lot of money as all Asian tipsters who I met wanted 100e or more per flat unit of profit which was too much for me. Beacuse of that, I focused on bookmakers with bit lower odds and payout rate but wider offer. I used some informations regarding local soccer leagues, won something on ITF and low level tennis and then limits came. You get into situation that you have excellent ITF tipster but you cannot work with him beacuse your accs keeps getting limited, you opened on all your friends family etc. and you need to change strategy. Luckily, some guys who were in it longer then me gave me source who now provides me accs for bet365(easiest to beat) and that's what's keeping me over the water. I still have issues beacuse if I lose bet365 now, I must switch completely to Asians and I am not ready for it yet, I just have 1 good tipster with 8% ROi.
To make it more real to you, 8% on Asians is awesome. If I bet his pick 1000e, his average is 17 in month, my profit is only around 1500 and when we deduct his fee, around 1200, way less than what I earn now.

There is lot of room for mistakes for bettors as they are possible on each step but it can be really good job. I work from home, if I go to beach or somewhere i place bets from phone, dont have working hours, can take break whenever I want and it's really profitable. With betting I earn 6 times average salary in my country and that makes all these 8 years worth it.

Bitcoin bookmakers are still long way from the regular ones. THeir payout rate is bad(same as with plenty of USA bookmakers), their offer isnt wide enough and overall they are not solution for serious bettors.
Let me give you better sight of that:
1) YOu hire a tipster with 16% on softbookmaker(bookie with low limits, wide offer and overall much easier to beat than asians and pinn)
2) Instead of bet365 or whill or bookie like that, you take your local one who has lower payout rate. lets say for equal matches instead of odds 1.952-1.952(that pinn gives), they give 1.85 like in my country

First look tells it all, you lose from your tipsters winnings beacuse of their payoutrate. When you add up to it tipster cost, withdrawal fee,, you realise how much it costs you.

If good bookmakers dont allow your country, find a solution. I had USA partners betting over VPN on EU bookies. It is all matter of effort.

What have I learned in 8 years of sports betting

Greetings all,
I am new member on this forum and as I have seen lot of topics related to betting, I wanted to share my experience. I have started 8 years ago as small time bettor who thought it will bring him fortune. Of course, that brought me to 0 and below more times than I can remmember. The biggest twist in my career was accepting the position of sports tipster and one European site. There I learned more about money managment, spotting the value and overall more about betting. Then, after 3 years I could finally say that "I get it".
To understand how all works, that you cannot stake more than 2% of your bankroll on one tip for longterm sucess, to spot the right value, its much easier said than done. My biggest issue was betting bank. I never had enough to earn decently with it and then I wasted 1 year with rushed bet and forcing picks. As it usually goes, afterwards I started looking for help, tipsters and paid sites as I tend to believe that more brains are smarter than one. Results were bad, I started to trust only myself and that was my fifth year Since then, 2 and half years passed and I can say that I live really good life just from betting. Somebody will call me liar or something like that but those are people who have short sight. Firstly I would like to say that I live in poor country where average monthly salary is 500e, that's something I get from betting in little bit less than a week. That is one of the reasons why I am in constant plus. Other is experience. I have learned which tipsters/sites to hire and which not, how to distribute my money, which bookies to use for what and overall how to act in unpredicted situations. Now I have hired 11 tipsters, I have acess to stats of over 20 and each season is new challenge as tipsters can oscilate and bookmakers can change the rules of the game. I don't want to be too long as I don't know if this interests any of you, but I would like to finish with few tips and with letting you know you can always contact me Pm if necessary:
1) Be careful with money managment. From my experience it is more important than anything
2) Dont trust tipsters from soft bookmakers. For example, Spain tipsters have over 30% ROI on ITF but it is impossible to catch and bet365 limits you in 2 days
3) Make wise selection of sources. I believe that 1 guy cannot keep winning longterm in wider area of sports and leagues as it simply takes too much time and energy. History records are important so you can see how tipster reacts in bad streak, does he force or he keeps his steady. If you go by yourself, learn more about value, payout rate of bookies etc...
4)Dont expect millions and remmember: Betting is marathon.

Good luck to all of you

Just beacuse you dont understand something, it doesnt mean he cannot earn money from it. I know people who gets limited all the time by bet365 and only way to keep winning is by buying new accs..
