Re: WHY THE BITCOIN PRICE DROP IS REALLY GOOD NEWS

I guess it doesn't help that I had a dream where the price had...crashed to as low as <$0.10, was not a particularly good dream.

A really bad dream...  Cool

Gaw Miners Genesis Hashlet 15 GH/s 0.00015770 BTC

Re: How Could Bitcoin Evolve?
by
martinnew
on 04/10/2014, 16:13:19 UTC
IF??

bitcoin is already accepted at the cashiers desk in thousands of retail stores

bitcoin is already accepted for flights and vacations
cheapair.com
airbaltic.com
expedia.com

to name just a few.

as for the big event of bitcoin in the next 10 years.. that would have to be the detachment to the dollar valuation.

imagine a common measure that can be used in all countries.

now here is the idea
imagine cost of living was a measure of minimum wage of whatever counntry yo were in multiplied by 40.

this would give you an estimate of your native cost of living.

now imagine that for instance instead of a dollar reference, we simply had buy and sell orders based against that measure.
thus right now bitcoin is about 1.5 'col'

now whatever country you live in you can work out how much bitcoin is based on your own currency without having to know dollars conversion rate.

also the average cost of bread is 1% of cost of living. thus if bitcoin is 1.5col. you can instantly know you will now get 150 loaves of bread for 1 bitcoin.

if bitcoin doubled in value to 3 col. you know instantly that you can get 300 loaves of bread. anywhere in the world.

Good thing to read your reply here cause I am not aware of these details.

One thing in my mind since yesterday...
I do scrypt mining and use BTC payout. Altcoins and dollar stay stable - why do my BTC payouts drop ? Shouldnt they rise ?

I am a bit tired these days and may be i just dont understand it  Huh

Payout is low maybe mainly because the price/value of BTC is declining.

Re: why the bitcoin price is going down ?

Everyone is selling right now because they think the price go lower.. (maybe will happen) so they wont lose a lot of money

That could also means a lot are buying now because of its lower price.

That sounds to be a cool software.  : Grin

I was about to buy some cloud mining at Genesis-Mining , too bad they don't accept CC , wire transfer fees makes the purchase really expensive , hope they will add CC payment soon .
You can pay in Bitcoin.
Credit Card will not happen, it`s to much of a risk for Genesis. I totally understand that.

Yep it's a risk , but I think They said that CC will be added as payment option soon,  I will research about , thx.

I believe CC will be added very soon, they are working on that right now.
Paypal though is another matter, not sure that will happen if at all, but who knows, what with Paypal accepting bitcoin and litecoin and dogecoin now, but the problem is the chargebacks to be honest as it quite easy for someone if they used Paypal to purchase hashpower and then complain after a couple of weeks and then get a refund, plus then keep all the coins they have already mined.

Maybe they need to have a special policy that Paypal payments will not have any refund no matter what the reason is. Tongue

Even BTC was already years old, I think it is still early to say that there will be no mass adoption. Anyting can happen for the next years in terms of technology and currency. IMO
