Re: 【ACTIVE】AntMiner S2 Tech Support- 4300 units powering a stable 4Peta GHS

So my S2 is now shutting down constantly...  Every time I have to remove the jumper pin from the PSU cable and put in back in order to power it back up, but it will only stay alive for maybe 30 minutes before it does it again.  The first time this happened I actually had to re-flash the SD card to get it up and running.  I even tried removing one of the hashing cards to lessen the load on the power supply, but that doesn't seem to have made a difference.

Is this a known issue?  Is the power supply just toast?  (Is it even worth it to replace at this difficulty?)

Mine "play dead" after power outage too.
But come to life, after I pull the U-shaped wire off the ATX plug for a minute or two.

Oh thanks for the tip!  I will try this when I get home.. hopefully that is all it is

Is there a consensus on the best replacement PSU for the S2?   BOTH of mine conked out last night after a power outage.

I was thinking something along the lines of a Corsair AX1200...

In stock mode with the ASICs at 218.75, how much power does an S3 pull?  The OP says 366 watts, while dogie's guide says 340.  If it's 340 I should be able to run 4 S3's off of one regular 120v circuit right?  340x4 = 1360 watts.  That's about 75% utilization of power...  Should be within the safe zone..

Think it is safe to run one S2 and one S3 on a regular US 120v electrical socket?  I know the safe limit is supposed to be somewhere around 1400 watts.

Hmm, I've still got 4 S3's in my shopping cart on the bitmain website... think the order would still go through?

What does this mean?

Don’t parallel connected different DC input from different PSU into the same Hashing board.

Will keep an eye on this.  At first glance the pricing looks reasonable.

oh i might have figured it out...  .conf file wasn't updated...

edit:
ya that fixed it..  I normally just pass pool info and everything to sgminer via a batch file, but I updated the .conf file with all of that info and that fixed the error.

It just pops up every 5 - 10 seconds in sgminer.  I can't tell if it is affecting anything at all.  Also when loading up sgminer it says something about failed to resolve pool.  As far as I can tell it is connecting though?

The SP30s are supposed to be quieter than the SP10s...  how much quieter I'm not sure.

I might be in for one depending on the price.  Will have to be competitive with the S3, especially since these aren't being delivered until september.

Flashed a new SD card and that seems to have done the trick.  Now the only issue is all the fan speeds report as 0 even though they are running fine, and sometimes the temperature of the cards report as 0 as well.  But at least everything is working properly now.
