Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | PoS | No premine | No IPO
I remember you, you were one of the first supporters of this coin, prior the launch. Really honest person.
I wish you all the best at your future ventures.
cheers dude nice of you to say, fortunately I didn't lose very much but still a bad investment is a bad investment. unfortunately its the lack of active development/marketing that killed this coin more than anything else I feel. Fortunately I seem to have moved all my investment to BlackCoin at the right time and am in substantial profit overall because of that. I'm still gonna keep tabs on HVC and will reinvest if things change but i'm not holding out much hope.
OK guys, had enough. Leaving the ship. Dumped all my 40K and jumping full speed on BC before the the price starts skyrocketing again. There is no reason to wait for miracles. Keccak simply ran away with his IPO and doesn't give a shit anymore. I was too naive thinking that some higher power will save the coin. Maybe in fairytail. The only thing which can save the coin is a massive pump by some whale but again only few would profit, most of poor guys just loose...again. And as the coin has no volume, even whales don't give a shit. I finally understood how this crypto world works, it's just one giant pyramid game where 5% of smart guys take the profits, rest 95% just hold their bags. It took me 2 months to understand these hard rules of this world. After seeing how most of the shitcoins are sentenced to death everyday without any hope for recovery, I think HVC is no different from othose coins. Without strong marketing, no coin can survive in such hostile environment. Nobody gives a shit about speed or security of some coin or how perfectly it can be mined with low power consumption. Most of us are here to make profit, no matter if I will need a nuclear power plant built next to my house to power my GPU's as long as this crazyness is profitable. I spend enormous time watching BC and invested into it when it was 9500, had really strong hands when big whales were dumping it hard. And look, BC rising like a beast always. And reason? Strong dev and marketing team and even stronger community. I haven't found anything like that in any coins, HVC including. High-end coin specification will never make it successfull, it's clear now.
Sorry for this FUD or trolling or whatever you call it, I don't see light at the end of tunnel anymore.
a little word to you all, the reason for the success of blackcoin and the likes is because people don't put their orders above for a lazy profit. It dissuades the market makes it top heavy and makes you wait longer / never until cashing that. You see 100s of smart asses buy up and put a double up sell down oblivious to the fact when that happens the market will shake.
TAKE OFF THE HIGH SELLS PLEASE.
blackcoins multipool helps a lot, that's one of the reasons their price is doing so well.
BC Multipool only buys between 50-100BTC/day based on Twitter. Driving force on their price is strong community involvement, CoinKite adoption, PoS model, etc.
I would argue that in this current climate of tumbling coin prices that their multipool, by creating buy support, has essentially made their coin stand out as one which is bucking the downward trend, this in turn has attracted investors and those who feel its a safe store of value while everything else decreases.
basically i believe people are fickle, especially in the crypto currency world which has very few true investors, lots of speculators. So I think buy support is good, that's why I believe in a multi-pool for this coin. You say blackcoin has that niche filled but there is tons of room for another multi pool, the BC pool doesnt have that many miners even. The question for us then, would be why would miners mine on an HVC multipool if BC already has that niche filled? An HVC multipool would lose the efficiency of Hefty1, and decreases the network hashrate. If we go PoS, sure, multipool would be great. But buy support for a weaker network doesn't seem like it's a great idea.

Is there a place where the network hashrate is shown in a Excel import compatible way ? Can't import stuff from php and flash pages Or can someone give me the equation for mining revenue using network diff instead hashrate please ?
