First we need to evaluate the two critical cases that are happening which are affecting the market. Following this news and which direction its gearing, we can then decide on our next move.

1) SEC's decision on Bitcoin ETFs
Already there has been a delay on an application proposed by Vaneck and SolidX. Depending on how many ETFs will get approved or ignored will significantly determine the crypto landscape in upcoming September-November.

2) Formation of Bakkt company
Intercontental Exchange (owner of NY Stock Exchange and multiple other exchanges) with partners including Microsoft, Starbucks and Boston Consulting Group, plan to launch platform for consumers and institutions to buy, sell, and spend digital assets on a global network.
They announced their new company, Bakkt, is expected to launch in November. If it really happens, this is a big leap for the future of cryptocurrencies.  

So while we see the downward turns in the market for now, the reasons that caused the tumble actually gives us a lot of room for optimism.

Thanks everyone for sharing your thoughts on this topic. Frankly it is quite sensitive. I find it to be very concerning for us crypto community especially when the governments, SEC and giant players are the ones causing a huge impact in the markets.


Surely it has become clear that these big players are causing dramatic changes in the market. To add to this unfortunate landscape, there are still several ETF applications waiting to get approve and some were already past the deadline for a decision. Also I noticed some applications that doesn’t even apply to us, only for accredited investors (I guess the rich does get richer..)  
So if more ETFs are being rejected or delayed, I agree with you and would probably consider cashing out to take the most profits out of it. Although in my case it would be to break even or take loss. But let’s say if some actually does get approve within the next quarter, we can expect some kind of price recovery and perhaps plan a better investment strategy for next year.


I think it reasonable to say that the market is unpredictable in the next couple months. I was planning to sell some of my altcoins, but then decide it’s best to hold on to my portfolio for now until some price shift in the market. There are some projects that I am interested in, but aside from that, no more new investments for me till we hear some good news (possibly in the next quarter) and we see a positive movement (some time in 2019).


Indeed I think it wise to hodl for now. Regardless of these current setbacks, I would not give up on crypto and I strongly believe it still has a potential future long term. I suggest we stay optimistic, wait and observe the market, and hope for the best outcome and win win situation for everyone.

I completely agree. Those who are in fear and talking about "death of Bitcoin" are the ones who are not looking at the bigger picture and long term future of Bitcoin, but rather seek small short-term profits.

I say the fact that Bitcoin price is refusing to stay under $8k is more of positive sign if anything.

I think BTC and the overall crypto market will eventually pick itself up.
However in the upcoming week(s) do expect it to fall lower in 5500 mark. - just my opinion.

I actually agree on this one. ICObench does not have such accurate ratings and may have promoted certain ICOs for its own gain. I caught it after doing my own research on an ico and concluded that ICObench source is not so reliable after all.
But please note this is just my opinion. Do your own due diligence and you will see for yourself.

Not so sure about "by 2019"..However with all things considered, for example these great projects being built on its blockchain, the team behind, and its roadmap throughout these years, there may be a big future with NEO.
