Einsteinium to the moon!

Oh we have missed you Bob Smiley

I'd be very wary of old Bobby boy. He has no allegiance to any coin but those that he can pump 'n dump. If price spikes soon I'd be taking a big dump before he does....

LOL, you're too funny.. Talking about being wary of me.. Im not the one with -315 in the red am I?
Since you wanted to bring up Trust ratings. Anyone looking at yours can immediately see that Oldminers comment has pretty solid grounds. While you may be ok to the transaction with, your Trust rating shows very clearly that you try to manipulate everything.

Hey! i would like to point big hashrates at emc2. therefore i need a pool with a fixed high diff ( like 65536 ) and proportional payout.. any idea?

p2pool - pplns and low diff
carbon.basshash.com - pplns
emc2.suprnova.cc - vardiff
emc2.botpool.net - vardiff
emc2.mateloft.com - vardiff

i even tried to create my own stratum pool with coiniumserv or nomp - but they reject every block ( "The stratum implementation for EMC2 differs slightly due to our donation/block system. " - https://github.com/zone117x/node-stratum-pool/issues/55 )

so does anyone know where i can mine? or how to get nomp working? simply donating 2.5% in every block to EKnqTC9XEuucZEhD3miDGnbJxBptcxhByA will not work.. ( https://github.com/zone117x/node-open-mining-portal/issues/358 )

i think the solution is somewhere here, but i do not understand the code yet.. https://github.com/einsteinium/EMC2-Stratum-Mining/blob/0402833ec347819948b19b241aae454883040188/lib/coinbasetx.py

it is kind of hard-coded.. so can someone explain how to implement it? ( def getCharityScript():
    return b'\x76\xa9\x14' + binascii.unhexlify("1864597a1e6f7e83555b4ec5913d455f4a5002a5") + b'\x88\xac'; )

I cant help you beyond what the github documentation say, and it is definitely hard coded.

But I was wondering, I dont really understand why vardiff isnt suitable? I am pretty sure most vardiff implementation now have a high enough range for anyone

But nonetheless, you can create an account on the pool you prefer and contact the admin, he can definitely lock your diff. (Maybe contact all of them for prompt response)

WTS 8x R9 290x. Also have quality PSU's. Shipping from Canada

Hey,

Getting rid of part of my farm. I have 8 R9 290x's for sale. They are all reference models, mined for 4 months. I don't have them in front of me right now, but I believe its 2x ASUS and 6x Sapphire (will confirm to serious buyers.

Price to be determined by relevant offers, shipping to be discussed. I will accept most methods of payments where there is no risks for me (either you send first, or escrow, I dont mind).

I also have a couple Enermax MaxRevo 1500w in excellent shape. And 1 Rosewill Hercules 1600w.

PM relevant offers.

P.S. I am not running to the warehouse for "pics". You can see what that hardware looks like, and you can use escrow if you want, so pics are irrelevant.

Looking for a US or Canadian mining pool. Most pools listed on the OP are dead and the two that work are in Europe and Asia. Anybody have a working pool a little closer to US East Coast?
suprnova is usually very good wherever you are.

But OP should be updated with working pools.

I can't find the instructions in the thread about how to import android wallet backup into a qt wallet (windows here).

Anyone can help me with that? I think the original instructions were from bobsurplus

If it were me, I would just dump the private keys from your old wallet, and then import them into your new one.  This way you don't need to mess with pywallet, or different versions of BDB.
I figured it out. Looked in the github and surely enough it said how to do it. I had to use openssl to decrypt.

Thanks

kinda trying to find how to do that. Cause my android wallet stopped syncing last night.

The command should be dumpprivkey

I don't have my wallet on a PC. That's what I'm trying to do... Get it on my PC.

What kind of projects/funding for scientist are in mind?
I am not gonna spill the beans, but I feel it's been   a while since people heard about funding.

From what I understand, the goal is the advancement through science. So essentially any science project that demonstrate that getting funding will help the world move forward from either fixing a problem or finding something new.

I believe the goal is also to funds areas in need. Making a donation to a pharmaceutical company to develop a magic pill for cancer, as great as it would sound, is probably not the best investment because its an area where funding isn't the problem.

There is an excellent project currently in the pipelines, and I believe you won't have to wait much longer to hear about it. Personally, I'm thrilled to see Emc2 reaching for its goals once again.

I've introduced the following program to the board for discussion and subsequent vote.   Please feel free to discuss if you wish:

The Investment Loyalty Program

The Investment Loyalty Program is a plan that will reward engaged EMC2 holders, it will be funded by the mining tax only in the absence of a project to fund in that particular month.

Here is how the Investment Loyalty Program works.  To qualify for reward:

1)  you must register an EMC2 address by the 10th of the month,
2)  only the top 100 registered addresses are eligible,
3)  you must maintain (no withdrawals) those funds in the account until the 10th of the following month.
4)  only one address per BCT  username

The Investment Loyalty Program is funded by the mining tax, it is ONLY used in the absence of a particular project to fund; as such, most of the time there will be no Investment Loyalty Program reward.  In the months where there is a reward it will be conducted as follows: of the properly registered accounts (10th of the previous month) on the 10th of the following month, the top 100 account values will receive a proportionate amount of the available funds.  Payout will begin on the 15th of the month.
Any withdrawal made from any registered address disqualifies said address for any reward for the target period.

This program is meant to reward engaged holding.

[Please discuss]

I do not fully understand the meaning of "engaged holding".

I'm thinking about joining your community after I read a few of Armis' eloquent responses to a number of posts, though I would like to ask the following question first. I am of the opinion that there are too many independent cryptos and often the independent projects' interests will much rather conflict with each other than aid one another. My tendency is therefore towards cryptos that really offer a main unique trait that branches into many unique features. I see that you are serious about your work in crypto and I respect that. Can you argue why Einsteinium deserves its own independent cryptocurrency and blockchain? Why is this project not done on top of the Bitcoin blockchain instead?
My personal take on this.

This is one of the few things, but I'm tired and will only stick to this point. It's pretty simple. The fixed donation is pretty unique and serves an actual purpose beyond just ideologies that most other coins vouch for. The only thing that can hinder this is you want those donations to count, so it would be nice to have decent market cap for those donations to mean more. But that in itself, brings a, both, charitable and useful sort of intrinsic value. Something that's mostly absent from most other coins.

I second for Vavarin if he is interested in the position.

I've seen him around for a long while and as far as I remember always with a positive and constructive attitude.
