Why is Dagger available on exchanges only to Chinese users? And why is it still not on coinmarketcap?
As mentioned before, there is not only Chinese customers exchange available for now.
BBX.com Fexpro.io and vbitex.com allow worldwide customers.
About coinmarketcap, we need to be at least on 2 exchange supported by them, we hope to be displayed on their site after a few time when our releases 0.3.1 will be out.

Thanks for your interest.

Oh, and we're already at version 0.3.0. So hopefully soon XDAG will be on CMC and listed on a few other exchanges.

BTCWhat is the voting address?

Reduction Poll Address:

https://[Suspicious link removed]/forms/KUat1RskAdP0YjN73

You will see how the dev team ignore the community's poll. :-)

I don't believe the team will seriously consider the supply reduction. It's more like a cheating and help them to manipulate the price up. But they have to make an announcement anyway, sooner or later.

The poll was simply to gauge interest of what people want. Gauging interest like this is also quite hard because there are various ways of cheating the system.

Some ways which are considered:

Poll, 1 person 1 vote with open results on XDAG.io website.
PoW, the miners decide the result.
Captcha solving.
Tx voting.

The problem with the Google Forms poll is that it allows for multiple votes, which resulted in malicious attempts to skew the vote in one direction. The result is that a majority of the votes want as much reduction as possible to increase the profit as much as possible. This is why the polling system has to be reconsidered.

Something further to consider is that the poll was never said to be a final vote which determines the future of the coin. There has been a lot of criticism because of this which is unnecessary. There is no need to decide now, rather it is better to wait a little bit and let PoW decide. This is perhaps the best and most decentralized way of deciding.

With that said, there are some further improvements to the core in PR #88 on GitHub which is currently under review.

Thanks for you reply.

Response: It is true that Google Forms poll has potential probability to allow for multiple votes. I understand your assumption and concerns, so let's vote again.

Response: It's a little bit sophistical when we say "poll was never said to be a final vote which determines the future of the coin". Let's use PoW decide. I would like to know the approximate timeline for the re-voting which many community members would like to know either.

Response: I agree that the PoW is the consensus of XDAG. The future of XDAG needs to be determined by PoW consensus.

Thank you for your elaborate response as well.

As for a timeline, there is nothing decided just yet--hence why we are having this conversation right now.

Because the mainnet was launched January 5th, a 6 month halving could occur on June 5th or 6th.
Thus I believe that a PoW consensus would have to be reached at that time whether or not a reduction is plausible.

I've heard that Dagger is hitting an exchange soon and is still being actively developed after the community took it over.  While waiting for the first exchange, do we know what the current rates are per DAG?  This project is very exciting, the first mine-able DAG crypto.

I took a quick look and the lowest sell offer is $0.06, with matching buy order price. Just a couple of days ago it was $0.03.

The RPC is coming soon. You can follow all core development on our Github page https://github.com/XDagger/xdag.

Our Chinese community members have been working hard the past month and we would like to share their development and plans for the future. The English team is in full support of their plan, and we will collaborate with them on various tasks. The Chinese community has also decided to fund their own community fund to cover expenses for developers, and it has been set at 2% because extra Daggers are needed to fully support the developers with fair pay. The community team is also in support of this, because it enables all developers to receive fair payment through various funds. We will continue to distribute the funds to developers in the future.

We wish the best of luck to our Chinese team in these future plans:

a very strange coin. why did the developer leave? that from all that they write here is true? what will happen to the coin next? is there any news directly from the team?

The original developer did not state any reason for his leaving, other than that he gave control of the project to the community.

As you can read in my post above:

  • The coin is a community developed coin now.
  • We have several different developers working on different things.

We are still looking for core developers.

Upcoming changes:
MacOS support
Qt Wallet (https://github.com/XDagger/QtXdagWallet)
Losing account bug fix (https://github.com/XDagger/xdag/issues/26)
Cleanup mining logic
Optimization of storage folder loading

----

In other news, Dagger was also featured at a DAG meetup by One8zero3. I will ask him to write a little about the event and what he presented.

I heard someone say that DEV is back, the project was taken over by another team.?What the hell is going on?

Don't listen to strange rumours on the internet.

  • The original dev left, and has not come back.

I will be happy to give merit to who will share bat file for Dagger GPU mining, because I cannot find it in the thread Sad(

https://github.com/jonano614/DaggerGpuMiner

Launch parameters:

GPU benchmark: DaggerGpuMiner.exe -G -M
GPU mining: DaggerGpuMiner.exe -G -a -p
CPU mining: DaggerGpuMiner.exe -cpu -a -p -t 8

Good luck mining!

I like to believe in a future for Xdag, am mining a bit also. But looking at the Discord channel, on Reddit and here, apart from miners not too much is happening. Would like to hear some progress on the 'smart contracts' plan and/or other purposes. Any contact with exchanges yet?

There is a lot of work going on. If a community had to decide between frequent communication or frequent coding, I feel most of them would prefer frequent communication over frequent coding...

The full potential of this coin is still quite a bit away... there is a heck of a lot of work still to do and only a handful of part time developers currently involved doing it. In the meantime, mine it, buy it, trade it OTC and HODL it.

XDAG is the future, but it's a patient investor who will make the most gains.

And exactly because there is so much work to do for this coin we should let those part-time developers just do their job instead of chatting with us all day.

there is no need developers to communicate with community ,any role of project manager in XDAG

It's nice of you guys to show a lot of interest in this project.

There has been work done on the core and the wallet. You can see these changes on our Github page.
We are still looking for people to join us with their expertise, in particular, core developers.

can somebody please tell me the biggest XDAG pool best for mining.....i mean best to get really steady coins?

Any of the big pools will yield a steady income, but I suggest trying one of the smaller pools.

Honestly?  it’s not great

I thought you liked our logo. What changed your mind?

Edit:
Alright, we will keep our logo for .org and you can keep for .me. Hopefully it doesn’t confuse people

As my expert said, your last logo is too nondescript and not remembered. I think that my one is original, implemented in a single style and incorporates all previous successful ideas, such as the double letter G and the rune DAGAZ.

I'm sorry you feel that way. Here is how it looks together on the upcoming xdag.org site:

Personally, I think it looks nice Smiley
I also like it.
