Domain for sale: fpga.wiki
by
mattcode
on 20/03/2021, 10:40:44 UTC
Looking to sell the domain fpga.wiki. I bought it to create something there myself but I don't have the time to properly manage and maintain a wiki.

It's registered with Namecheap so I can push it to your account for free, or I can transfer it out to another registrar.

We can use any escrow you want, so long as they are trusted.

Starting bid: $20
End date and time: 10:30 AM, 4 April 2021 (2 weeks after this thread posted)
Payment methods accepted: Bitcoin, Monero

Wownero now has its own forum!

https://forum.wownero.com
Wonero should make a small giveaway for people to be more interested in this forum, this is a necessary discussion channel for members to contribute more to the development of the coin.

In any case, McClaren has done good in testing. We might see a new leader outside Mercedes, Ferrari and Redbull.

Monero is now supported on Coinomi. A smartphone (and desktop) multi-currency wallet. https://www.coinomi.com/en/

They say better late than never, but I think maybe in this case never would be better Smiley

WE MUST propose mining algo more resistant to both ASICs and FPGAs.

There was a proposal from hyc for a revolutionary new algorithm, named RandomJS, that would work best on commodity CPUs. I haven't looked at it too deeply but the little that I saw I liked. Doing ASICs or FPGAs for it would be extremely hard and the results would most probably not be efficient.
I think the downside of RandomJS is that GPUs would be at a significant disadvantage, and there are lots of miners that have invested large sums into GPU rigs.
I don't know what the current status of RandomJS is, but you can contact hyc on reddit and ask him.

There's also SChernykh's CryptonightR.

probably something to do with getting all that moisture on their hashblades  Cool

No, the OP is right. Water is good for power consumption.

If you throw it all over your miner it stops consuming power!

we know, as you wrote in your first post, you personally run that system and power multiple asic from it

it is just such a shame bitmain did not read about it, done it on large scale, so they could avoid so much pollution from the coal power plants

Actually you need to look at there new BitDeer facility it is on a river and you can clearly see the water coming out from the building they may be using Hydro-Generator systems to run that facility you cant see any power lines running to the mountains edge where the facility is located. They may also be using it for liquid cooling

Nobody is disputing renewable energy sources like wind or hydro, I think that they're amazing. The thing people are disagreeing with is that you're putting some energy into a system, and getting more out.

Yea clearly. This guy is an absolute case study in the Dunning-Kruger effect.

I think it's just someone saying inane things to get a reaction, they don't actually believe that this shite works.

Spoilers: chipless works at a major battery manufacturer

Or a mental asylum.

... How are you going to apply 500W of power to rotating a generator and expect the generator to be able to output more than the input 500W (theoretical 100% efficiency) Huh

Your not directly but with the pullies you can.

What do you think your pulleys/gears/whatevers do? They balance speed and torque, you don't magically get more power at the other end.

If you have enough to spare you could run the electric motor from the inverter also which would then create a loop and run 100% free.

I just noticed this gem on the first page and it reminded me of images like this

friends, tell me why the network has 600mh but at the same time at the "extraction" pool itself only 60-120mh, and other pools there is no, how to understand?

I don't understand your question, but you can find a list of pools and their hashrates on miningpoolstats.stream.

I mean that the total power of the network does not correspond to the power of all pools, someone mine in solo or on a closed pool? I’m interested because the profit calculator shows one number, and after a day of mining on a CryptoKnight pool, a completely different result is obtained.

Yeah, it's probably solo miners. And please don't mine on CryptoKnight Smiley
