We are looking to use a cross platform solution such as Cordova for the mobile application.
The blockchain functionality will initally be built upon Ethereum,
however we are also looking into EOS and Cardano due to the need for low transaction fees.

Etherdelta have experienced problem updating their orderbook.
If you experince any problem you can use forkdelta, the forked version of etherdelta until they resolve the orderbook API issue:

It would be nice to see these all completed. I cant understand why someone would put so much effort into something, then drop it at the last moment.

I'm sure I read this here earlier, but do I need to unlock my wallet for staking to ensue? Over 1,100 confirmations on my balance, interest is over 5% this morning, but staking shows 0.0. My wallet is locked.

Yep, in the settings unlock the wallet for staking only. Hover your mouse over the green arrow in the bottom left corner of your wallet and it will tell you when to expect a reward.
