The calculators I have used, including this one are not that great. I have 4TH mining at Eligius.st currently and make $75 a day roughly minus the $15 a day in power I pay for a total of $60 profit. My hardware will be paid for in 3 months. These are actual results(not calculated). I could never find a calculator that would give me those numbers.
Coinwarz bro..
But anyone can do the math for themselves. It's fun when you start factoring in PSU efficiency, line resistance, cooling, controllers... "Hmmm.. Do you think this 16 gauge wire will melt?"..
Fun times. Some days I wish I was in an actual gold mine rather than worrying about burning my house down.
makes me wonder how many bitcoin miners has already burned...
Just got my two S3's in today, and plugged them in and set them up.
They are both configured to run at 218.75 Mhz from the factory.
For whatever reason, one of them runs at 425 Gh/s and the other runs at 408 avg. The 5s averages are higher. Maybe it will be better when they are "broken in"
I put them both on an 850W power supply I had, but they both turned off, and started hashing at 26 Gh/s. Then, I put each on it's own 800W power supply, and that seems better. Only using 2 PCIE connectors so far.
Might be the voltage on the power cord coming from the garage might have dropped due to the 100 ft length...
People who say anything about not meeting ROI are ignorant. How can you comment on ROI when you have no idea what the cost of bitcoin will be next week, next month, etc.
mpark the proper way to factor ROI on any miner actually doesn't involve the conversion price of BTC to some other random currency. If you pay XBTC for a miner and in it's life it generates >X (plus costs) then the miner profited. If you buy a miner for 1BTC when it's at say $500 and it makes .5BTC but the coin doubles to $1k have you broken even? If you believe you have you are allowing yourself to be blinded.
... is there anything that ROI in BTC?... dont see much of a future for home mining... just for manufacturers.
what if bought the btc to buy the miner. lol you guys kill me
