Re: Vertcoin - First Scrypt N | First Stealth Address - Privacy without mixer

Can Vertcoin be mined whit a normal scrypt asic?

Er.. no. Its a Lyra2RE algo now. Not scrypt.
So Algorithm: Scrypt-N can not be mined whiit a scrypt asic ?

Vertcoin is not Scrypt-N any longer. It forked to Lyra2RE at block 208,301

This here is why the team urgently needs access to the vertcoin forum account, or at least transfer thread ownership. No reply yet from bitcointalk admins, I presume?

Someone from the team should have emailed the GF members, at the very least. Especially with deadlines such as this snapshot.

Good thing I checked the forums today.

I get 0 hashespersec after running a fully synced chain for 30 mins with 100% cpu. Once in a while my console outputs something like:

hash: abcdef00000 < bcdef00000

I assume it's found a block, but nothing's happening so I stopped mining.

Many thanks to Aleks for releasing the CPU-enabled CGminer. Can we get that for Linux as well?

What about CPU mining in pool? No miner available, so it it possible to wallet mine in pool?

I'm still waiting on that so I can give them my bounty reward. Best to lurk at the IRC channel.

Reposting my vertcoin.conf from yesterday: http://pastebin.com/QQ2xGLRA

Note this is for wallet miners - you may need to change rpcallow to your IP address for CGminer.

I will add to the bounty for a miner+pool.

First person to compile a miner and have a working pool gets 500VRT from me.

put it in first page already.

Adding 250 VTC for a CPU compatible miner+pool.

I mined 50 VTC but in blockexplorer is 'Address not seen on the network."
Its orphan?

Search for your transaction ID instead. That appeared for me.

Finally, something that isn't a blatant cash-in. Eagerly waiting the white paper/tech specs.
