Ok, so setting my gtx 1060's to +150 core and +1000 mem pushes the cards to 22Mh/s, however, no matter what I set the power limit to I does not appear to have an effect.

"The burgers and tshirts have spoken." I'm not sure I've ever felt like more of a midwestern American than I do right now.

What if... what if we made a burger... on a t-shirt?

But is it scratch and sniff?

I think that would be a must.

Re: Best Cloud mining services?
by

At this point cloud mining is pretty dismal in terms of returns.  With decreasing BTC and providers trying to keep a profit at this time most cloud mining operations you can buy in low however it is uncertain if they will pull out of low returns anytime soon.

The best I heard so far is LTCGear (bitcointalk thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=759743.0) decent ROI and as far as I am hearing the few that people are still pretty optimistic about.   Give it some time to buy shares though (always sold out lol - can check https://ltcgearcalc.com/ they have a good automated checker if things are in stock)

No referral needed just helping a fellow miner out =P lol

I have been testing multiple cloud mining services, to decide where I want to put major money.

So far I have looked at Zenminer, Zeushash, genesis-mining, ltcgear, and ihash-mining,

In my opinion the most professional service price goes to Zenminer - their interface is beautiful and easy to use. The prices are a little high but they are an innovative company - I say you put some money into them.

Other than service I also looked at payouts and ROI, and for that your best bet is iHash-Mining. They are a new company but they offer the best prices on the market due to their opening sale. Since they are new, I just bought their mining contract. I will see how that goes. Other than ihash-mining. LtcGear pays out well too; however they are always sold out and there site is hard to use.

All in all it is up to you where you put your money. If I were you I would try Zenminer and ihash-mining first.

I hope this helps.

I would not suggest ihash since its a total scam. This should clarify https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=837023.0

NONCE-POOL MINING (www.http://gap.nonce-pool.com/)

Code:
sudo apt-get update

Code:
sudo apt-get install p7zip-full

Code:
wget https://github.com/gapcoin/GapMiner/releases/download/rev3/gapminer-linux-rev3.zip

Code:
7z x gapminer-linux-rev3.zip

Code:
64/gapminer -o http://mine3.gap.nonce-pool.com -p 4200 -u workername.worker -x password

---------------------------------------------

You can also use Vultr for cloud mining.

Just to consolidate a bit entering this will install and start running the miner in one entry:

Code:
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install p7zip-full && wget https://github.com/gapcoin/GapMiner/releases/download/rev3/gapminer-linux-rev3.zip && 7z x gapminer-linux-rev3.zip && 64/gapminer -o http://mine3.gap.nonce-pool.com -p 4200 -u user.worker -x pwd -t 8

Re: [ANN][GAP] Gapcoin - Prime Gap Search - New Math Algo - CPU only - Zero Premine

I appreciate the assist, but I attempted all of this earlier. These are great instructions on most of the cloud servers, but the IBM Power 8 seems to be a different beast. I really appreciated sologap's help today with setting it up for solo mining, but I have yet to get it working on the pool with the available settings.

The cloud mining guide is here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=822498.msg9384957#msg9384957

I'm guessing that the IBM Power 8 instances have a slightly different architecture that is incompatible with the current rev2 capminer for noncepool then ? Perhaps you could post the errors that your getting or I'll try to test it over the weekend. TBH I'm mining Slimcoin at RunAbove at present and mining Gapcoin at both DO and VULTR.

Solo mining works at RunAbove, so it will just be a matter of reproducing the 'error' with rev2 capminer and making it compatible with the P8 chip set.

When using the cloud mining guide I get "-su: gapminer-noncepool/64/gapminer: cannot execute binary file: Exec format error". It does this for both the solo mining setup guide and the pool mining guide. The wallet had to be recompiled within the instance in order to function at all.

Can I get a little help setting up a miner on linux? I keep getting "cannot execute binary file: Exec format error"

If anyone can PM me I'd appreciate it.

Localhost Linux Guide for CPU mining Gapcoin at: http://gap.nonce-pool.com/ - Ubuntu x64 (probably Debian and other Linux too)

Open a new terminal window by pressing: CTRL + ALT + T

Code:
sudo apt-get install p7zip-full

Code:
wget github.com/gapcoin/GapMiner/releases/download/gapminer-noncepool-linux-rev2/gapminer-noncepool-rev2.zip

Code:
7z x gapminer-noncepool-rev2.zip

Code:
gapminer-noncepool/64/gapminer -o http://mine3.gap.nonce-pool.com -p 4200 -u YOURusername.YOURworker -x x --retries -1 -t NUMBER OF CPU THREADS

DONE !
