Re: Is Incorporating BTC the way forward for most companies?

They're just here for money. When the bear market hit they'll stop promoting it, then buy it again on the next wave and encourage retails to spend their money for them. That's the cycle, it's how they play the game.

Hopefully this game being played does not deter people from seeing the real utility behind bitcoin. It's unfortunate that some willing parties will be turned away after getting duped by the cash grab.

Gosh... the near impossible task of prediction has reared its head again. Us humans love to manipulate the past and foretell the future.

That being said. I believe the winds of change have blown for the better and 2025 consists of more financially empowered people as well as people continuing to challenge the status quo. Cryptocurrency will be seen as undeniable truth in 2025 and the next big innovation for the internet will roll out in 2030. Hopefully, we find a way to redistribute wealth somewhere along this timeline....

Re: When to take profit from your current bitcoin holding.

My advice is to continue to learn about bitcoin(other cryptos apply too) until you begin to grow in belief and knowledge. Increasing these two allows you to create a better picture of what you think bitcoin is worth, and allows yourself to withstand price variations.

What's your advice? Is it keep holding? What if keep holding means holding at a loss?
Simply relying on trading will lead you to the situations of FOMO and anxiety like the one you described. We have all been there.

There is no shame in experiencing these lessons. Continue to get better in your approach and the profits will naturally swell to you.

Re: Happy New Year Bitcoiners

2020 was really good for bitcoin, even after the march dump, it went back to almost $30k, it's really a hell of a bull run what happens in the last 3 months. I am sure 2021 and 2022 will be good for bitcoin, we might see 50k in a year or so. bright future ahead for crypto if it continues like this next few months.

Massive run and new expectations. Of course the echo of the bull market for bitcoin gives many people cause for celebration. A year ago after the previous ATH in 2017 did not yield results desired by many here. However, current sentiment such as this may lead to a continue in the elevation of bitcoin and the neighboring crpyto 8 Grin

One man's trash... another man's treasure. Ethereum is one of the coins that I believe in, and will continue to strive as the community that serves it grows.

There is no need to sell this scarcity mindset to other investors, as there is enough room for many coins to flourish. Imagine where we will be with the internet in 10-20 years time and the answer becomes clear

Re: Real purpose of Bitcoin

Well said. Also, I think it depends on the person on how he/she will view or use bitcoin. Yes, bitcoin might be created for peer-to-peer transactions but that doesn't remove the possibility of it being used in a different way like an investment. Additionally, I think it's better to think of it as an evolution of its usage or purpose rather than think of it as losing its original sense. After all, change is the only permanent thing in this world.

Agree. I believe that bitcoin offers someone much more opportunities than a store of value asset. However, such is life that people can pick and choose what they derive from the things outside of themselves. Maybe it is for the best since more people will get the chance to appreciate the talent that bitcoin holds...

Coming from someone who lurks on the border... Many thanks! Best of luck to all during this time.  Wink Cool

What makes you come out though?  Grin

Ah, hard to pinpoint if I am honest. Just a moment of realization and gratitude. Nice to know this feeling is a shared one.

For all those who replied...Thank you for all the kind words and encouragement to continue/grow in involvement on the board Smiley

Well, it certainly took you long enough to finally take part. Welcome! This is the best forum on the web. The majority of active and regular users are decent people and we get along well. There is hardly any fighting or other silly nonsense. We all here for the same reason. I hope you take your time to look through the forum sine there are vast amounts of knowledge to be learned here. I see you have only made one post though? Why?

Nothing had come to mind to post, purely enjoyed soaking in information and lacked a little confidence frankly.

hey guys/gals...

recently joined this journey around time of past halving(~8 months ago), as I always had a sneaking interest in bitcoin. As such, it is my first time being around for a potential new ATH, and soaking in all the commotion that comes with it!

Wanted to say thank you for all the knowledge, discussion, insight and wisdom that is shared on this board. Real community here.

Coming from someone who lurks on the border... Many thanks! Best of luck to all during this time.  Wink Cool
